I have a client that is using QB Desktop 2013. They removed the accountant copy restriction from their data file by mistake. I made over 4,000 entries on my accountant copy that need to be imported into their data file. Is there any way that the changes I made can be imported into their data file? I tried duplicating their company file, and making client's file with the same dividing date but it could not import the accountants changes when I sent the file over. Gabrielle
I recently traded in an Android phone on which I was using the Google Authenticator app for 2-factor authentication. The Google Authenticator app on my new phone does not contain an entry for my Intuit account so I cannot access my Intuit account. I called and texted with QuickBooks and Mint support. I gave up after THREE HOURS of frustration. How can I regain access to QB Self-Employed, TurboTax, and Mint? (Note: I created a dummy Intuit account so I could logon to this site to ask the question.)
I use QuickBooks Simple Start 2009 solely for creating and tracking invoices. I am a freelancer and most of my clients pay me through W2. I have only a few clients who pay me through 1099 and I need to invoice. I only create about a dozen invoices a year so signing on for a $12 a month subscription is not viable for me. I am perfectly happy continuing to use the 2009 product. I recently had to reinstall Windows. I have reinstalled Quick Books but the updater will not work. I can't open my company file because it was created with a v14 update and the install is v6. How can I get the necessary updates?
Is Advanced Item Receipt available for QBE Canada or is it just a US feature?
Our employees receive a daily Live out allowance (LOA) and a daily allowance for their trucks. The LOA is not taxed at all, so no income tax, CPP or EI. The trucks are only taxed for income tax, and not CPP or EI. The tax settings on allowances in QBO Standard Payroll automatically add all taxes and I cannot find anywhere to change them. I did check under the Taxes/Payroll Taxes section.
I can't seem to use projects in the desktop app, have to do it via my web browser instead.Is anyone having this same issue, and is there a solution for it?

I need to confirm that QB doesn't not handle revenue allocations at inception of the contract, and related monthly journals for recognition for a SaaS company.
I would like to purchase a QuickBooks program which I could install on 2 computers but one would only be a visual and not have the ability to make changes. Is this possible? I am the bookkeeper for a company living at a different address, and I do all the entries etc, but the owner of the company would like to open his computer and be able to see the business activity. However, I don't want to add it to his computer if it would then allow him to make changes because I think that could be disaster. Thanks for your help/advice.
