My accountant tells me I can't count an invoice for a sale until product has been delivered to client. Is this true?
We have a Chase account with two credit cards and QB has both on separate accounts in chart of accounts. But my problem is that the bill for these cards lists charges as one, on one bill. I need to know how to reconcile them in Quickbooks as they are. I had one card reconciled but the amount was off by the amount on the other card. What am I doing wrong? I'm way behind on reconciling these cards and I'd like to get caught up. Thank you.
We will create an estimate that shows the discount we will offer. With progressive invoicing, half of the estimate is created prior to job being completed. Once job is complete the second invoice is created off the estimate. We have noticed that the discount does not move to the invoice from the estimate. Is there a way to have this completed automatically instead of entering the discount manually when we create the invoice?
I have noticed Quickbooks Desktop 2021 uses only 1 core. That's why Quickbooks is very slow even on modern fast multi-core CPUs. Does Quickbooks Desktop 2022 use multiple cores?
The company I work for is currently using QuickBooks Premier Contractor Edition 2021 (Desktop) and it is going to be discontinued on March 31, 2024.. I know there have been changes to the various editions of QB and we are confused as to what version we need to switch to. From what I can tell, the Contractor Edition is now going to be in the "Enterprise" version. Is this correct? Will we be able to do our own payroll with the "Enterprise" Contractor Edition? Is QB Online suitable for my current version of QB? Can someone please help clarify which edition is best for contractors and what features we will no longer be able to use?
My imported transactions equal 0. My split equals zero. I do it this same way consistently and today (4/4/24) it no longer will apply and I get the error message "/ by zero." Is this some bug that was not discovered before the update was released or is it truly something I need to do?
This is my first year filing taxes for my new Single owner LLC (so filed as a SP). I am ready to send my information from QB over to turbo tax but I have a pre-existing Turbo Tax account with a different log-in and there for these two wont link up. I cant tell if im suppose to create a new turbo tax account with the same login info as QB so the two link up correctly or am i suppose to contact someone to change my pre-existing account to match. Any suggestions?
THE VIEW APPROVE BUTTON IS NOT WORKING ON ESTIMATES. IT HAS BEEN A MONTH AND THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED. Has anyone been able to get an answer on this? It has been since Feb 6th that this problem exists.
I have a sync with QB Online and Salesforce, so I have the QB Online Account ID on the Salesforce Account. I need to display a chart of accounts from QuickBooks Online at the account level in Salesforce using an iframe. I want to know if I can create an LWC with an iframe that automatically logs in the user using Single Sign-On (SSO) if I put the QuickBooks URL in the iframe. The login process should be done automatically using SSO. How can I add the QuickBooks Charts of Accounts URL in an iframe and display that page at the account level without requiring the user to login or authenticate? Note: I have set up Named Credentials in Salesforce for QuickBooks Online.
Trying to run payroll reports. Cleared cache. Doesn't help.
I have been trying to get direct deposit to work with Enhanced Payroll since February 29, 2024. I spent five hours on the phone with a tech support agent. They couldn't fix the problem. I was given a case number and told I would be called back with a resolution. No one has ever called back. Has anyone found an alternative accounting software to Quickbooks?
I'm trying to find out if QuickBooks Enterprise Version 2015 to 2018 compatiblity with Windows server 2019.Does anyone know? We are getting ready to upgrade our Windows Server to 2019 and what to know if the older versions of QuickBooks will work on this OS.
QB Pro+ 2023I've noticed that each time I click on a vendor or customer email in their profile that when the email (Office 365 Outlook) opens I am presented with a display on the right side of the email that says "ADD-IN ERROR ...": I have included an image of the error display. What is the cause of this, and is there anything that I can do to eliminate it? Also, every once in a while, a member ("customer" in QB) will tell us that they were unable to open the attachment when we send an email of an invoice via QB. Is this a known problem? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
is there anyway to attempt to get this fixed other than just calling in?
Find > Advanced > Item > (enter part number) > FindList of bills, invoices, and receipts populate. Selected the bill that the item is on, but instead of showing the Vendor in the name column, it shows the Customer:job in the Name column. Bill was entered with correct Vendor, multiple parts/lines have various customer:job selected. If the customer:job is removed, then the Vendor shows up in search. This has not been a problem until recently. Why is it doing this?
We currently manually export detailed transaction reports for all income/expense accounts out each month and use them as a "table" to create power BI reports. We have created an ODBC connection and would like to automate the process. However, we are having trouble identifying the correct tables in QBs to obtain the appropriate level of the detail. The Transactions table while containing the fields we'd like to see, only provides ONE line item per transaction in QBs regardless of the number of lines and doesn't provide the offset information (for example, for each invoice there is one line to the AR account for the total of the invoice, no information on what may have gone to revenue, etc.)
In Desktop quickbooks would do a spell check , where is this option or do you have to pay for that also?
So most recently, when we convert estimates to an invoice the sales tax dissapears completely and we have to remark taxable on our taxable items. The estimate applies taxes fine, it's something during the conversion to invoices that changes the product to non-taxable. We need it to stay the same, and apply taxes to the invoice. Please help!
Hi, When I run a quickreport for a certain item, I found the total amount is doubled decreased by sales receipt and invoice, why? Normally, I'll create Sales Receipt after we receive purchase order, then will create an Invoice once the order is ready to ship out.
I was trying out the Beta Labs Dark mode a while back. It was pretty bad. I tried to switch back but the Labs are gone now, so I've been stuck in this half-arsed 'dark mode' for a too long now. With some of the recent updates that do not support the old dark mode, I am seeing (or missing seeing) a lot of white text on white backgrounds. I have to highlight all the text on a page with my mouse to see if there are any options I am missing. How can I get out of Dark Mode?!
