Hi all. I just got notice that my version will not be support past May and that some features will be discontinued. I only use the program to generate invoices, send via email through quickbooks and post payment of those invoices when payment is received, that's all. Do I need to upgrade?., I don't want to purchase the online version of purchase a monthly subscription.
I made a mistake. I paid my boss' personal income tax with the business account. And I realized I did that after I sent the reports to the accountant to file this year's taxes. after that, I reclassified the transaction as a shareholder distribution, but it still shows as a business expense. and I don't know how to correct it.
I am running into a predicament when I receive inventory items on a bill for items that I have previously sold but replenishing. The item's cost has gone up since the last time I purchased. I type the new pricing for the item on my bill so that the amounts match to the bill from my vendor. I click the save and close button when finished. The problem is, the new cost is not posting to the item within the inventory, so I have to go into each item within the inventory log and change the cost and markup pricing from there so it will be correct when I sell the items next. Is there any way to get around this?

We use Square POS and are currently using the Connect to Square app to import all our Square transactions. The app transactions screen is great, however I can't find a way to more granularly control sales mapping based on payment type. In Sync with Square I could map credit card transactions to Clearance Account, and cash and other transactions (checks) to Undeposited Funds. As far as I can tell, there is not a way to do something similar in Connect to Square. I see that income accounts are mapped for each Product or Service. but that won't change based on how the customer pays for the sale. Various searches online and in this forum lead me to "App Settings" in the App Transactions screen, but there isn't anything in there that deals with account mapping for transaction type or payment type. It only gives mapping options on the item level. There also isn't anything I can see while reviewing the App Transactions individually. There are no options to select accounts

I am seeking the correct bookkeeping process to post a returned refund for a Customer. I want an outline of the correct steps to post the returned funds to the Customer Account. #1-4 outlines what HAS BEEN done already in QBO:1. Sales Receipt posted to Customer account for payment via Stripe and deposited to a bank account. Deposit matched to bank feed. This Sales Receipt included a security deposit that was posted to the liability account.2. Customer Refund was processed for the Customer security deposit refund; posted to a liability account. Refund matched to bank feed.3. Security Deposit Refund funds were returned to the bank account via Stripe. Deposit matched to bank feed. [Initially, this refund was deposited via the "Add funds to this deposit" section of the Bank Deposit screen. This does not show up under the Customer transaction list. Nor does it appear in the balance sheet security deposit liability account report to confirm the liability has been cleared.]4. Customer wa

Hello,I use QBDT 2020 and have an issue that I do not know how to fix. I am a contractor, and I generally buy the equipment and materials needed for each job, and the purchases are recordered as COGS for the job. A long time ago, when I first my contracting business, I spent some time entering things like wire and other little parts that I bought in more of a bulk fashion into inventory. Then if I used up some of the stock for a job, I deducted some lengths of wire, and the adjusted quantity of little widgets as they were used for the job. I soon came to realize this was not going to work, as I did not often know how much wire was left on a spool, or how many little widgets were left in a box in my truck, etc. The costs for these things was generally very minimal. So I quit tracking any of these things in inventory and just bought what I thout I needed for each job, charged the cost to each job, and if there was a little wire left over from the job, I threw it o
Good day, I am fairly new to the QuickBooks systems and wanted a way in which I have set rates for invoices. I.e. We sell diesel and I want a way to lock in price rates for specific stock code ( which we use for our suppliers) they each get an individual invoicing rate. I wanted to know if this is possible and if so how to go about it ?

I am an accountant in one city and my client is in another city. The client will enter the transaction in QB desktop through the month and I will do the month ends. We will NOT be using QB at the same time. Because we are in 2 different cities I want to use the remote services of 'QBox.' For the 2 of us to use the services of QBox can I use 1 licence with 2 users, or do we need 2 separate licences? tHANK YOU.
We have not been receiving the typical email from Intuit Payroll Service that our tax payment has been accepted since late January. We know that we can go into the Payroll Center to check the status of the tax payment, but we would prefer to receive those emails. Do you know why we aren't receiving the emails anymore? And if we will get them back? Thank you!
Hi, currently my company sells automotive equipment. We buy from a couple different suppliers and sell many different products. Our cost from suppliers changes with some regularity for the same product. Example: a part could have cost us $400 6 months ago and now costs $425. Will previous sales be affected if I change the cost of a product? Using the example, would previous sales and purchases be affected if current cost is changed from $400 to $425?
I searched the refund threads but I don't see the same scenario. The customer was double charged for the invoice so I needed to issue a refund. I created a customer refund through the (+New- Refund receipt) but I am still showing a credit on the customer's account. The customer paid via credit card so I needed to refund the credit card. I added the refund receipt to the credit card bank deposit so that the credit card deposit matched the bank.1. Original invoice $161.12 paid2. Payment $161.12 closed3. Payment $161.12 unapplied4. Refund$161.12 paid. Did I do something wrong in creating the refund receipt that caused it not to be applied to the double charge?

Having an intermittent issue with the integration from ClockShark time app to QBO. It's happened a few times where the time shows it integrated successfully, but when I go to Time Entries in QBO nothing is there for the week integrated. It does show under Unbilled Time Report, but when I click on one of the time entries I get the following message:"Something happened on our endWe’re working on it. Refresh your screen or try again in a few minutes."I cannot edit or delete the time, but when I create an invoice the time does pop up to add to invoice. I still cannot click on the time from there either, same message as before. I have spent many hours on the phone between ClockShark support and QB. ClockShark at least walked me through every step, testing along the whole way and there were no issues on their side. Every time I try to get help from QB, I am told it's on ClockShark's side, despite the time showing in unbilled reports. The time is going somewhere in QBO because it shows in unb
After contacting "customer support" 3 times with no resolution to my problem, hopefully someone here can help me out. Before using TSheets/QuickBooks Time, I was able to go into "Weekly Timesheets" and manually enter in my employee's time, and mark any time that was needed as billable. After getting TSheets, and after it downgraded to QuickBooks Time, when I approved the time and exported it, it would appear in "Weekly Timesheets" and I was able to mark timesheets as billable as needed. This was the case up through this past Friday. Friday morning, I approved Thursday's time (in QBT), marked the appropriate timesheets as billable in "Weekly Timesheets", and ran payroll. I then took vacation until this morning (Tuesday). This morning I approved time from Friday through Monday (in QBT), and exported it to QuickBooks Online. When I opened up the "Weekly Timesheets" to mark the correct time as billable. I no longer had that option on the new t

Looking to add quantity discounts for my customers. In our industry, we sell units for less than $1. For that we typically go out 4 decimal places on cost and sales price. In advanced pricing, quantity discounts, once a discount is applied, the new sales price will only display 2 decimal places. Is it possible to extend the decimals to show 4 places in the new sales price, instead of 2? Screen shot listed below.
I haven't had problems before sending accountant review copies in previous years, but for some reason, the option to "send to accountant" is grayed out. I run to companies on QB and the other company accountant's review copy went without a hitch. Why would the option not be available. I attempt to just send the file to the accountant in an email as an attachment and that didn't work either.
Hello! We are looking for a shipping solution for our company. We don't need any extras. We don't necessarily need to connect any services to it. We just need a service that offers ways to ship USPS, UPS, and FedEx all in one place. We tried Shipstation but that was a horrible experience. Any help is appreciated.
