I need to renew my subscription but I have to use two credit cards as the limit on my card is too small to process on one card.
How can I estimate project overall expenses without a project estimate? we cannot seem to create a project estimate by API only a normal estimate so we are trying to figure out how to tag estimated expenses on the project? Our sales tool provides all that info and we want to automate pulling that into QBO.
I have QB Desktop Pro Plus 2024 and have updated to the latest release R11-43. I can create 1099 NEC's but they will only print 1 up on the latest IRS 1099 NEC 3-part form. I have gone to FILE>PRINTER SETUP> {FORM NAME} 1099s/1096 then ALIGN and PREVIEW and the PREVIEW shows it printing 3 up on the 3 part form but when I actually print on multiple printers here or even to a .pdf, it will only do 1 up. To ensure I have the latest release I have checked the RESET UPDATE box and reinstalled the R11_43 update. I have also used the QB Tools Hub and RUN THE QB FILE DOCTOR as well as FILE>UTILITIES> VERIFY DATA and all seems to be OK. What am I doing wrong? What do I try next?
I would like to help my dad setup a QBO for his woodworking business that he owns and operates independently. He has never used a bookkeeping software or service. He also does not have a history of cleanly maintaining an online record of business transactions and financial statements. I am considering to purchase live expert help to construct historical financials for his business and to establish a baseline for bookkeeping moving forward. Is this something a QuickBooks advisor can help with? What is the minimum documentation (e.g., tax returns, bank statements) that QuickBooks advisors need to provide this requested support? Do advisors have experience working with business owners who do not have a history of maintaining online bookkeeping records?
My boss is wanting to put $1500.00 into each employees 401K. My question is how do I need to do this as far as QuickBooks. Couldn't we right one check and have the company that handles our 401K accounts distribute the amounts to the correct accounts. Someone said something about having to write a check for each employee and not take out Federal and state taxes (my concern is that will make the employees income increase and they would be responsible for the state and federal taxes on that amount). Any advise or pointing in the direction of where to look for this situation on IRS page would be greatly appreciated.Thank you
Is there a way to print all my previous 3 years worth of invoices, at once (with some kind of batch or macro command), for a government audit? They want to see each and every one (500+) and I didn't print copies as I went along, since it was always on computer memory. Thanks.
I received checks from two different customers in September. I posted them under Customers, Receive Payments. Then I created a deposit and selected both of those payments and took them to the bank. The customer accounts in QuickBooks were credited and the money is in the bank. Everything is good. However, the next time I went to create a deposit in QuickBooks, those two customer payments are still in the "Payments to Deposit" list. However, they do not show up in the general ledger under the "undeposited funds" GL. I have never seen this before. I just need to get rid of them from the "Payments to Deposit" list before I close and send my file to my CPA.
Quickbooks mysteriously dropped 17 days of transactions from June 2024. They're not in any of the categories (review, categorized, excluded). Is there a way to get Quickbooks to bring in old transactions? If so, how?
With the new invoice format, the 'Clear All' / 'Clear and keep' option for linked time entries has been removed. Is there any way to 'bulk' clear time entries from the face of the invoice without:1. having to select and clear each line item; 2. having to unlink the time entry and it appearing as unbilled.
My client is looking to change platforms - they are currently using Premier Manufacturing and Wholesale, which is no longer supported. Intuit Enterprise might have been a good fit as they had 5 companies, but they are now all consolidated into one. My client is looking to streamline processes and have PMs enter Estimates and POs which can then be converted to Sales Orders/Invoices and Bills by the bookkeeper. They want detail job costing and better inventory control. My understanding is that you can save your company files to the cloud with QB with Enterprises - remote access is important as well. The last issue is ease of use - many of the people who will be entering POs and Estimates are not computer savvy and we want something that is easy for them to learn and use. With that said, we also want to have tight controls over who can see what. I am leaning towards Enterprise, but it is more expensive and I'm not sure it's worth the extra cost. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Tha
Hi, I have Quickbooks For Mac, desktop version. I want to hide an old company file from the doc start-up window? I have old company files, and it is too confusing when I login. I found directions for the online version but not the desktop. Does anyone know how? Thanks!
Windows 10 is scheduled to lose support in October 2025. Everyone will be forced to upgrade to Windows 11. But Windows 11 will not work with QB Pro versions older than 2021. I still use QB Pro v. 2019 and it works great. I have a small number of clients and I dont want to buy Intuit's new expensive subscription based software. To make matters worse Intuit isnt even going to sell QB Pro after July 2024. New users will be forced to buy the Enterprise edition or use QB online. Should I keep QB Pro V. 2019 going on an old desktop using Windows 10 and buy a new computer with Windows 11 for banking and everything else? Does anyone have any suggestions?
Desktop- Assisted Payroll. Employee and Employer portions are suppose to show up in box 12DD. Quickbooks can only manually make the employer portion show up in box 12DD. After research it appears the only way I can fix this is by manually editing the W2's. This suggestions of other q.b. experts. This is our first year end with QB. How do I edit their W2's to include the employee and employer portion before Q.B. prints our W2's? Do I go to Payroll Center-- File Forms--Annual Form W-2/W-3 Wage and tax statement and click ok on 2024? Again, I am just nervous with the fact I have assisted payroll and if I can even complete this here. Q.B. customer service has been zero help. I greatly appreciate any help you guys can give me.
Hello We receive prepayments/deposits for snow removal contracts.!. How should that be entered in QB.2. How does that show up on the forecast budget. We received the income ahead of time but want the income to show up monthly in the budget under the Actuals. Thank you

The QB app keeps logging me out after not using it for a few days, resulting in it not tracking mileage. This is a major problem as now I'm having to go back through and check all my milage... Any way to fix this? From the app logging me out? Or if it does, how it can keep tracking my mileage?
I went up to search and in the spy glass type in attachments. Under there I uploaded a bunch of pdf's. WIll quickbooks online bank feeds match to these?

Keeps giving the error "whoops, something needs to be fixed"
Client has old QBs Enterprise file with issues. It was decided to make a fresh QBE file with the new year. Lists have been exported successfully, accountant consulted on COA and opening balances on balance sheet items.Issue:Entering opening balances for customers. The thought was to enter an invoices dated 12/31/24 with balances for each customer. Payments recevied after the new year 1/01/25 will be applied to this invoice until previous balance is paid off. Question:If a new invoice is created, what "item" should be used? Should a special item be created called "Previous balance? If so, should it be called an non-inventory item or service. Suggestions will be appreciated using this method or an alternative. Thanks!
Web Mail stopped working; so I found I should make sure I'm updated. I went ahead and did upgrade to Desktop Pro Plus 2024. Still nothing! It was working fine but now a box pops up that says "We were unable to connect to the email server for your email provider". I've verified ports etc., made sure settings are okay on xfinity / comcast site. Can find no help anywhere and need this fixed asap!!!! Also, tried to use outlook, but of course that is not an option in the my "send Forms" preferences. Please someone help. I don't understand why it just stopped working when it had worked years!!!!
