Hi All, Anyone can advise how do i post a short selling of stock in QB inventory? Truly appreciate of any input on this subject.
Hi - I saw this when I logged in this morning that QB Desktop 2021 will be discontinued. We currently have one and it's on an on-prem server. Are we still be able to access QB 2021 after 5/31/2024 without any issues if we don't upgrade? Will this end of support affect any of our historical data? Thank you.Alex
I am trying to create a PO from an estimate in QB Desktop. When I go to the estimate, create a PO is not an option. Only, create an invoice. How to I get the option of creating a PO from an estimate?
I use QuickBooks Online for my company and my clients. I can turn on late fees in my client QuickBooks online books, but unable to in my company/proadvisor books. I contacted support and they were unable to correct the problem, so they recorded the process, which took hours, months ago, and now I get an email every 2 weeks stating the engineers are working on and they don't expect to have an answer for another 2 weeks. This just goes and goes. I asked a rep, a "Intuit Small Business Solutions" rep, which apparently was only reaching out to sell me more products, as if I don't already use enough Intuit products, but he said he looked into and that this issue was "across the board so not a general fix". My question is as follows: are any other proadvisors not able to turn on late fees in their Online QuickBooks?

The issue is when the other 3 users are working they receive the error (attached). Their QB will freeze until I log completely off and sometimes I get kicked out in the process. It is very frustrating especially since one of the main users works from home and on the road. We have tried everything to stop this glitch from happening. I have spent countless hours on the phone with customer service. We have had QB rebuild the company file, verified only the server is the host computer, created a completely new user for myself, paid a 3rd party to start a new company file ($3,000.00), paid IT company to redo our network and verified that all the computers on the network have the correct requirements. I have emailed the developers as well and our CSR several times. His final suggestion was rebuilding the company file and still we are having the same issues. Has anyone found something other than what I have listed that is causing these issues.
I just need a map of which field gets put in what location on a check. And what control I have over those choices.
I can't change my password in QB Desktop 2021, it gets stuck and as a result I cannot open any of my company files. I last opened these files August 2023, and I did download the newest version of QB desktop from the mac Appstore but there is no way to somehow open these company files, there are no options. Please help!
Seems like i have this error requiring me to "This action requires window administrator permissions" and this has never happened before since I'm using this computer. secondly, error appears when i open the company file saying A possible reason for this may be that you don't have read/write permission for the files under the folder where the company file is saved. Obtain permission and then try opening the file. If problem persists, contact support and provide with the ff codes (-6189, -308)(-6189, -77) We havent done anything or changed anything other than shutting down the computers without closing quickbooks at times or logging out. When we login the previous backed up version of QB, i have no problem logging it.
My client moved their data to QBO, however they've been in business forever. They have years of historical data and want to access it. How can they do this still? When they try to open it in QB Premier 2023, it says they have 3 days left. I originally found information that said they would have 3 years to view their old data. They do not want to do anything with the data file, other than look and possibly print old invoices or reports. It seems like Intuit should let QBO users access their desktop files by default. I've read that they just need to download the trial version, but not to register it, and they are good. Is this accurate?
QuickBooks Online freezes after editing and trying to save an estimate. I have tried "save" and "print and download". Neither work. If I make a copy of the estimate and save that though, it works. In other words, I can only save an estimate once (if I go in to edit it an existing estimate, then I can't save it). The screen just sits in "saving" mode forever. If I try to back out of it, it gives me the "Leave without Saving" prompt. I have tried-*logging out and logging back in*restarting computer*clearing cache of browser and mac*using incognito mode*using a different browser*using a different computer*using a different wifi*using a different account linked to the same quickbooks Open to any suggestions.
I recently merged 2 sales tax payable vendor names together so they would be in one place. ( btw I use desktop QB Enterprise Manufacturing and Wholesale 24.0 Platinum version.)When I go to pay my sales tax for the month, I now have a credit and debit in the same amount that is all of the past transactions for 13 years. I can't click and "pay them", they just give me a message they have been paid with credits and a check won't be written to this vendor. Nothing happens they just stay there in the sales tax payable as a debit and credit line. The credit one has the correct vendor name next to it, the debit one will not allow me to add the vendor name. I did a journal entry, and it doesn't get rid of it. It just messes up my reports. If I look at the "open balance" on the vendor I merged them with, all the past transaction show up, equaling the total that is in the "pay sales tax". Is there an easy fix to this? Short of redoing every t
I am having an issue with the desktop app running extremely slow over the past two weeks. Prior to this time it was very efficient. Now if I change company from the dropdown list, it takes 2-3 minutes to complete the change. In addition, I have to refresh or the company data does not change. Any suggestions?
I turned on the advanced inventory feature and checked the multiple inventory sites checkbox. When trying to edit the template of purchase order - in the columns tab - I don't see "Site" / "warehouse" column. Can anyone help with that please?
I have a free trial for personal accounting on my mobile phone and need to transfer it to my laptop can I do this?
My appointment is already scheduled, I just want to add two other colleagues to the call.
Hello! Can someone reliably give an honest answer when (actually if ever) QBO will have a feature for Inventory in multiple locations? For example it is highly common to have a retail shop/shop front with goods and a store/warehouse/back of shop with more of the same stock that is kept until it is needed. Therefore you would have 'Total Stock/Inventory', 'Shop stock', 'Store stock' and some kind of functionality to shift goods between the two. I think this is a pretty basic need for many QBO users. I've seen requests and complaints about this on the forums for some time now (actually some posts are years old - response has been 'they are working on it') but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. It is ridiculous that this feature can only be found when subscribing to an add-on that is 2/3 times more expensive than a pro subscription of QBO. Is this a tactic to get us to spend more cash? I wonder.
Is anyone else having an issue with scanning receipts and it giving an error message to try again but when you go to your receipt review it has duplicated? I scan a lot of receipts for a general contractor that needs them scanned, matched and separated by job. This is causing a lot of extra hours that I cannot bill the client for to clean up. I worked for free this weekend cleaning up these mistakes and on top of that receipts that didn't match even though it should have so I had to do a manual search for a lot of them! Side note: Intuit QuickBooks is crazy if they think they are going to make money charging for AI services. Is Intuit QuickBooks going to pay for the actual person that has to fix the mistakes???
I'm new to quickbooks and have been using it to keep up with the accounting and inventory of vintage items we purchase. With vintage items, we typically only have 1 of the item. However, we have an issue where quickbooks is doubling our inventory. This is how I input the items:I scan in an invoice that is already paid which creates an receiptThen I seperate the shipping, fees, and other COGS besides the items themselves in Categories.Select the bank account which the money was taken out of and create a vendor or select one I haveNext I list each item in the item details. I put the cost of the product under Cost of Goods Sold and number on hand as 1.Save and then it creates an expenseThen it syncs to Woocommerce via MyWorksNext thing I know Quickbooks has doubled the inventory to 2 and in a few cases it was 12 and now 24. This is all being pushed out to Woocommerce, ebay, and etsy causing issues on our channel. I need to understand the corr
I have been trying to use the QB Tool Hub. Every part of the program is working except the "QB Program Diagnostic Tool." When I click on that, I get an error message saying "The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file and try again.I have downloaded the latest version (1.6.0.8) 6 separate times from the Intuit webpage, completely removing the old file from my computer first, but am still getting the error message. Every other part of the program is working fine. I last used the "Diagnostic Tool" about a month ago with no problems so this is a new issue.Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?
These clients have already been invoiced for the time and they have already paid. The time is recorded in QB time/TSheets. Anyone else have an issue with converted time showing as Open (or non-converted)?
Hi Tea, We have a use case of exporting invoices, sales data from QBO to FTP Server. We want a customize form in Quickbooks online to connect to a FTP server and transfer the sales invoices data to the FTP server. Do we have that custom form option in QUickbooks online? Or we need to create our own app with all custom logic
