I have tried sending invoices from the default Intuit email address, and I have set up a gmail account to send invoices from. Both fail.
There is a box within pension settings 'NIC rebate' so is it just a case of selecting 50% there?

** UK USER**Hi All,I am wanting to delve into detailed reporting and P&L, more so than QBs can provide. I am familiar with PowerBI and have used it before however, I would like to know if there is a recommended alternative that the group can recommend for a UK user, plenty for US etc but looking for UK advice. Can automatic bank payments matching be stopped
Hi. Using QB on-line. When clicking "New - Journal Entry" a blank journal form correctly appears, but for some reason it is not numbered correctly. I have raised 50 journal entries to date. However the New Journal entry is always 4 numbers behind where it should be ... ie it currently numbers a new journal as No 47. (I've obviously done something I shouldn't have, back when ) I have checked the "warn if duplicate journal number" box ... so I then remember and manually renumber the journal. Can I manually reset the "next journal entry number" so it automatically numbers the next journal sequentially? Thanks alljon

Intuit and The Cooperative Bank refuse to play nicely together.EVERY time I use QB, whether on app or pc, I receive an OTP. It's incredibly annoying. But it gets worse. Now, QB won't import csv's from the bank.I see this error a lot: Error ImportingDarn. File upload failed. (Probably our fault.) Please give it another try. If you see this message again, you might need to contact us. After trying to import again I receive this: Error ImportingUh-oh, looks like we ran into some trouble importing this file at line Cannot read properties of null (reading 'code'). Look for a date or an amount that shows odd formatting. Correct it and try again. Everything looks fine on the csv and I've even tried a csv with just a single line in it and even that gives the same error. I've even tried different types of csv. Nothing works and I've wasted far too much time on this. Can somebody suggest something other than me switching to Xero?
I've been using two email addresses for my business but am now moving over to one I want to change the email address that I use to send me receipts to Quickbooks. Can't see how to! I'm using Quickbooks self employed
I've been asked to check where QuickBooks servers are located - when we upload documents in QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll, where are these documents actually located? The reason for this is that we need to be able to record whether this information is held in the UK or outside of the UK (and where), for data protection purposes. I cannot see anything online on where this is stored. Please can anyone provide this information?
My QB colleague is having a log in issue. She has a UK Accountant account that she can no longer access. The problem seems to be that most of her clients are UAE based and have been accounting under the UK licenses for the last six years without issue. Since Thursday her account has been locked out with the error message as “we cant find anyone with this username”. She has called UK support who says that as all her clients are UAE based they cannot help and Global support is saying they cant help as her account is a UK version. She has company IDs and invoices from the UK and has full access to her email. She has tried to recover her email but apparently the identification she sent is not being accepted as its not the same as the details the UK Support has for some reason. She has also tried to change primary admin through a link the UK sent but it doesn’t work as nothing happens when you enter the first page of ownership information and press continue. Wo

Hi,I have just submitted my first VAT submission for the period 1st Jan to 31st Jan 2024. I wanted to include costs from prior to VAT registration.Following other posts on the topic, I entered the pre-registration amount as a VAT adjustment into Box 4 on the return, and noted the amount of relevant sales in Box 7.This has been submitted ok.However, I now have issues with my trial balance.The VAT control account is showing the adjustment amount twice - once from the original invoices which were input and dated prior to 1st January, and again from the adjustment I posted.And also, my bank account is now wrong by the amount of the adjustment.I also have an amount in VAT suspense, which is the amount on the return. So 3 questions:1. I assume when I receive the refund from HMRC I will offset the amount in suspense, clearing this.2. How do I clear the duplicated entries in the VAT control account, should I change the invoices pre 1st Jan 2024 to remove VAT as they were done on the adjustment
In this example of a model agency - they receive a fee from the customer as per their invoice but 75% of that fee charged has to be paid out to the model the agency used. Can that be expense generation be automated?
