I have had a lot of experience working with For-Profit Organisations. I recently had an opportunity to work with a not-for-profit organisation, and need to set up the financial reporting module using QuickBooks.
I have been using the trial, then QBO Simple Start for a month. There are at least two unresolvable, dealbreaking issues:1) The description field doesn't show up on the recent transactions list, nor on many other reports. 2) A split transactions shows up like that in the reports or exports, as a split with no details of exactly how the transaction was split. Sure, you can see it by using the "split" hyperlink, but that isn't a viable option for when you need to deliver printed reports.Which leaves me flabbergasted. What were you thinking? Holding on for the issue to be resolved at an undetermined point in future isn't an option either, neither is upgrading just to get basic functionality, that should've been there in the first place. Seems like going back to the desktop version is the only solution.

I have had issues for 4-5 days accessing my company file. Other users in our company also cannot our files. I have another Quickbooks Online account that can access other files for another company. I've attached the message that I keep seeing every time. “Your company data is unavailable at the moment. QuickBooks Online Plus needs exclusive access for brief routine maintenance. Please close your browser, wait a few minutes, and login again.” Any tips would help greatly. Thanks.
In Sri Lanka , we have Suspended VAT, where exporters were given the facility to not to include VAT on their invoices. But in the invoice, we must show what is the Suspended VAT amount. This Suspended VAT amount does not get added to the customer payable amount . At the end of each much the organisation needs to sent a report to the Department of Inland revenue on the amount of Suspened VAT for each month. I need to know how to show the VAT amount as a Nominal figure

My banking transactions have been importing fine since I started using QB Online at the end of January. Now my last update was 5/5/2022. QB seems to connect and I get green check marks for each account but no new transactions are importing. I have searched the forums and done the things suggested but still having the same issue. I get emails saying I have connectivity issues regarding “no company name” and have followed the steps there as well. My bank is Orion Federal Credit Union. I am still receiving deposits from paid invoices. I even called support and they want $499 for technical support for a single issue. Seriously??? I have to pay for you to fix your service that I pay for monthly??? I really don’t want to start over with another product but will before paying QB Support. Any suggestions other than editing sign in info or clicking update and following steps to connect?
I upgraded my account to be able to issue bills etc. I can see them on the computer but I cannot see them on the android app. Any ideas how I can fix this?
