When attempting to export time from Quickbooks Time to Quickbooks Desktop after the recent Quickbooks Desktop update, we are getting errors such as : "[Employee Name] Aug 1: Error exporting 5.00 hours, the user doesn't have any payroll items assigned. Use the Payroll Item Mapping Tool to assign payroll items to this user and then re-export the time." Research says that the Payroll Item Mapping Tool requires a Quickbooks Desktop Payroll subscription, which we have no interest in purchasing. Is there any way to export time to Quickbooks Desktop without involving the Payroll Item Mapping Tool? I have tried unchecking the "Use time data to create paychecks" option in each employee profile, and deactivating the Payroll from Edit>Preferences>Payroll & Employees>Company Preferences> No Payroll. Neither had any effect on the error.
Is anyone else seeing a blank screen under Time? I have a whole week's worth of hours logged for last week and I need to invoice my client on Monday.
I'm incredibly frustrated that they recently updated QuickBooks Time again so that you can't select multiple service items at the same time when pulling a report. WHY? We had this functionality, then they took it away a few months ago, then they brought it back, and now it's gone again. Makes no sense to me whatsoever. We use the service items to track profitability on our client accounts, and we desperately need to be able to run a project report and select as many service items as we'd like for the report. I don't understand why in the world this function would be taken away.
Does anyone know if it's easy to transition from QBO to Sage 50?
QBO is pre-populating employee bill rates for my consultants...and the rates are all wrong! Has anyone else experienced this?
We use QuickBooks Online Advanced and are trying to integrate time tracking (currently done using an external system) by using the Project and Time features built in to this version of the software. When our test employees add timesheet stay do so by clicking the plus sign and adding a timesheet. However when they go to choose a client they get a drop-down list of virtually every one we've ever worked for over the past 10 years. In fact these users are actually seeing data beyond what their access privileges should be allowing, including client email addresses. How can we make sure that our employees see a proper limited list of active projects they can charge their time to, ideally limited only to the ones they are assigned to. Our current external system does this quite well and I hope there is a way that this can be done with QuickBooks. Thanks for any advice.
Im having issues where employees are short weekly in their checks. We use Quickbooks time, and they log in and out everyday at various locations, and jump between jobs. Time short may vary between 3 hours to 10 hours a week, never the same. We work in a rural area, and we have gps location services enabled. Im wondering if the spotty service may be causing these issues. All three users having issues are using Android devices. Im being told that the workforce app is different on each users device, and shows differently than the others do. Any help is appreciated! Thanks
We're a nonprofit company with fewer than 20 employees. We use QuickBooks Online Advanced (QBO) for accounting. We also use a stand-alone QuickBooks Payroll (QBP) account for processing payroll. We connect the two by simply exporting QBP data to QBO. We also use a non-Intuit system for time tracking and expense tracking. This system is used to track time against grants, compute hours worked during a pay period for part-time employee, and to help show effort levels (full-time and part-time) across our various projects. This is tedious as it requires manual data transfer as well as maintenance of two project lists one for QBO and one for our timesheet system. It seems like we should be able to use QuickBooks Time to help simplify this latter process, but I have not been able to figure out the way to go about this. As one additional bit of information, we use QBO classifications to identify our projects, for example a project might be known as Program: Project 1. Given
Since the update on Time when I go in to do the schedule it will not let me pick specific groups to show up on the schedule, it just keeps showing every employee. Is this a glitch on QBs side or is there a new trick to pick specific groups for the schedule.ThanksMarlee
Is there a way to integrate Asana with QuickBooks Time? My company uses Asana a lot and it would be amazing if we could track the time spent on each task in QuickBooks.
After I sent the invite to my employee intuit said they did not recognize the email. A couple of sets of eyes have made sure of the email. How do I fix this?
Hi team, Please give me some more info regarding integrations. Can i connect QuickBooks time with Asana or/and ActiveCollab? Thanks in advance,
I have two employees on salary, and the rest on hourly. The two salary employees are admin and need access to Time to review time cards, etc. However, because they are salary employees, I do not need them to track their hours. I just upgraded to Elite, but wanted to know if is it possible to avoid the $10/month/each employee with access to Time, and still give them access to other employees' hours? They don't need to track their time, just manage others'.
One of my 7 team members using t sheets is missing the track time icon on his phone.. all rest are fine.. all same settings. any ideas?
We are currently using Workforce as a “clock in-out” for two employees to register their time on the job.Another employee who has different types of functions would like to use the Workforce as a mobile platform to record her time on multiple projects and to use QuickBooks on her PC to record time on the same projects. She would record her time on the mobile app depending on her location at the time, and have it link to the inhouse QB database. She does not need to “clock in-out" as she simply would record her time thru the mobile app and bill her time as if she was at her desktop. She is setup with administrator privileges. Will it work for this Executive to use the mobile and PC interchangeably on the same projects while the two other employees only have permission to use it to “clock in-out” on their local PC?
How do you remove access to manual time card from employees?
I am trying to add a new team member. When I click "My Team" it asks to send an email verification code. The email never arrives. I tried dozens of times. How can I log into "My Team" when it never sends me the code? Thanks,
20 Years using QB desktop Now VERY STREESSED OUT. QB has hijacked my files from past 20yrs, just like the hackers that ask for ransom money to get computer back. HELP!!! how do I get access to ALL my files????
Yesterday, the IPhone app would not load at all for our employees. Today, we have an employee who clicks "clock in" and the app IMMEDIATELY clocks him out on his side. On the QB Time side, it shows he clocked in but he was not able to clock out. See attached video. He already tried updating the app, uninstalling and reinstalling. Please advise. We have had SO many problems with Quickbooks Time, that it seems like we are paying every month for a service that does not work and just gives us more headaches.
We are going to assign a team member to create other member's schedule in Tsheet / QuickBooks Time. He can edit or create individual shift schedule for other members, but he cannot load saved week templates. When I changed his permission to Administrator, he was able to load the template once, but the option disappeared again when he tried later. What kind of user permission is required to be able to load week template?
My Tsheets has become inaccessible, with the system having no record of my account when just a few weeks ago, my account was running fine. If anyone has any insight please help. This is the page that keeps coming up for me
How do I remove customers from the employee time clock We do not bill customers or vendors for the employee's time -- All 56 employee can see all vendors and customers which is not their business
I'm getting error message after entering a new employee
We're trying to take a quick look at project hours with their hours listed out. We do office work and field work and charge differently for those hours. We need to see a detailed break down of employee hours without having to do an itemized total time report. I want to see the detailed hours for the whole project, not just for a time period so we can invoice correctly for the hours worked. Is there a way to do this without going to the project, looking at the employees who worked on the project, then going through their time entries to find the entries where they put hours on the project, then checking if it was field or office?
I accidentally submitted my timesheets for this week (9/4-9/8) early. They are blank. Can you reset this so that I can fill in my time appropriately and then submit them for this week on Friday? Thanks!
