I need to create several customized Profit & Loss Reports that show the income line and all expense lines for specific accounts. I know how to do most of it, but here's where I'm stuck. I need it to show ALL of the income and expense lines for those specific accounts, even if they have no activity. But when I select "All rows," it gives me all the rows for the entire COA, and they all show zero. I can't seem to get it to give me all the rows, including zero/no activity ones, for just the distribution accounts I have selected.
I have set up partner equity accounts and sub accounts for distributions. No problem taking cash out by Jounal Entry but how do I record the amount being put into the sub account as a distribution of profits?

Every year I make entries in the GL for buys, sells, capital gains, Eligible dividends, other income, interest and foreign income but the GL is so far out of balance from the statements. I have followed all the entries from the statements to the GL nothing.DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM?IS THERE SOMETHING I MIGHT BE MISSING? I am at a loss and it's driving me crazy. My accountant said not to worry about it but then he questions it when I submit my workAny thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I was wondering is there a way to see how much material there is per job that is created from a bill by using items. Because my manager and supervisors need to know how much materials are being spent per job. I'm able to see a report of each material and what job it has, and all materials per vendor but I need all materials per job which is what I cannot find.
My client has an account I am trying to reconcile but it was set up without an opening balance prior to my involvement. There is no entry I can simply "edit" to reflect the correct opening balance. How do I add an opening balance to an already existing account?
