Our tax accountant is in a separate company from ours and prepares our 1099’s each tax year. They have requested that we provide them with a report of all vendors that we paid over $600.00 in that tax year. This would need to be a grand total of expenses over $600.00, and not individual expenses. They also requested that in the report of the grand totals there should also be columns for the EIN/SSN and address of the vendor. Can you please advise if there is a way to create this report? I have only found an expense report that lists all the transactions but then I have to calculate the grand total myself. Thank you so much. Phasing out tags on May 16 2025 is a major disruption to the way we've been using QBO for reporting.Using custom fields (at the time of writing) has following major limitations:1. Custom fields values cannot be assigned on the bank transaction categorization screen Impact: In order to assign custom fields to transactions you would have to open them again after categorization. This almost doubles the manual effort.2. Cannot run PnL report for custom fields the way you can run it for the tag groups. It goes without saying that removing existing functionality (tags) without offering comparable and workable replacement is extremely bad practice, though I don't think this is a concern for this rollout.Has anyone found a workable solution (something I could be missing) and also may Intuit does have a timeline for getting functional parity or possibly not hastily removing functionality mid year and postponing this arbitrarily set deadline.
I need to create a single statement for a client. That client has several divisions. With QBO, I cannot find a way to create a statement for all of them. I can only choose one at a time. I do not want to email from QBO but to download so I can email from Outlook. This was easy in desktop but seems to be impossible in QBO. Is there anyway to do this? Help!
Hello. I am looking for guidance on setting up Cost of Goods in QuickBooks Online. I have the categories that we want and will track across various customers, but am not clear on how to set it up properly and connect the two sides. I followed an AI reply where I created a Cost of Goods Sold account and then setup the Product/Service side, but only a test item until I can figure out how the enter the categories. We have the correct subscription version that allows for tracking.Any guidance or videos you could direct me to?ThanksSerena
I am using QuickBooks Pro Plus 2015 Desktop edition. I need to export all of my invoices to PDF files for an audit. Each file needs to be named with the invoice number. Is there any way to do this? I hired a programmer and he has not found any way to do this.

I am running into a data exception when trying to use the "Export Data" tool via the cogwheel settings. We have used this in the past to run periodic full data backups, but have discovered that the General Ledger Data report in this export is not populating all data. This is happening across many companies and any time period, so is not an isolated incident. What appears to be happening is that only "Bill" type transactions are running in the General Ledger report. Other reports in the Export Data tool seem to be populating fine, but this means this tool is not a sufficient tool for gathering data backups. Has anyone else noticed this issue? I have clean exports from July 2024 that worked and it looks like September 2024 is when this stopped working appropriately. Is there a fix from Intuit planned for this? It is a major big for something that should be relied upon for making data backups easier.

Hello There, I am new to the Community. Need to ask a simple question. will appreciate f anyone can shed some light on it. I have an Expense GL. it had transaction in FY-2023. So there was a closing balance in it. the same is shown if I run the Trail Balance as on Dec 31,2023. After that there was no any transactions in it For FY2024. I have never closed the books for FY-2023. But issue is, if I run the Trail Balance as on Dec 31,2024 this GL account appears with no balance. Where as, it should have a balance which was there as on Dec 31,2023. there is no activity in retained earning GL. again the books were never closed. Why this GL shows no balance as on Dec 31,2024. TB is Balance, So Where the did the balance transferred. RegardsYasar
Is it possible on a Project Estimate to hide individual line items from a client and just show subtotals? For internal Estimate versus Actual reporting, we need the individual line items but the client does not need the detail, just the subtotal. For example, on a recent estimate we have a line item called Payroll and a line item called Hotel which subtotal to a line item called Labor. The client only needs to see the line item called Labor. I understand that certain columns can be hidden from the client but can line items also be hidden?We use QBO Advanced.
Hello- I am trying to enter a journal entry in QB online. Only a few accounts (mainly asset accounts) are available to use. If I type in a different account, it asks me to set up that new account. The dropdown menu for accounts lists just a few, the last item says 'empty string'.I have tried a different browser, cleared my cache and rebooted my computer. Nothing has helped.I have several different companies in QB online and the others are working fine. Any advice?
How do I print a Quarterly federal tax returns?
QB wrote an email about automatically turning on the "Post invoice survey" feature months ago. The email says we can turn off the feature. I have been trying for months and reached out to support about 6 times with no luck or updates. The setting just has a spinning icon that never resolves. I've tried on multiple browsers and devices. When a company rolls out a feature automatically that impacts how we relate to our own customers, it should be OPT IN. And, since there is some engineering issue, the feature should be turned back OFF until they can fix it. Terrible support and service.
