If I invoice for $5000 and the payments are made in multiple increments, how can I show my customer each payment as a line item with the balance due?
Why are they not all sent by email?
I have a total of almost 50 contractors/vendors that should receive a 1099, but the list that comes up in QB to file has only 13. How do I add ones that are missing
Looking at my 1099 Transaction Detail Report for a vendor, 2 bills are showing up on the report along with the bill payments. Is there a Vendor set up mistake I made? Can you edit 1099 and delete the 2 bills.
Understandably QB is not a CRM but has some invoicing to reporting uses. I was wondering if anyone knows a way to get a report of transactions WITH customer information, specifically the customer phone numbers? The current transaction report lists some information and even includes the email address but not the phone number or mobile phone number fields. Does anyone know a custom report or workaround?

Hi, I am trying to file my corporate taxes for the first time and when I sent my balance sheet to the account he said I should clear my Opening Balance Equity account. I see some Decrease transactions from my credit card when I created that account and put opening balance in it also i added few inventory items and added opening value for those at the time of creating . Just to be clear I created this new file for my cooperation and cary forward the inventory and credit cards from my old self employed business. Please help me clear this account . Thanks
Today I went to e-file our 1099s and got an error message, "Something went wrong. Please try again later." Talked with QB support and they said it's a known issue affecting multiple users as of about 2 hours ago (currently 5 pm Eastern on Jan 8, 2024). Screenshot of what I'm seeing attached. I thought I'd share here in case it helps others experiencing the same issue. -Chris
We are an Auto Body Repair shop in Florida and are required by Florida law to have a lot of information on our Estimates and Invoices. The Florida Department of Ag which regulates us has a sample invoice/estimate available in Word. However QBO does not accept it. Without having to try to learn Excel proficiently or QBO, is anyone out there using QBO in this field that can offer any suggestions? The standard templates do not allow enough modifications whatsoever! I have called the helpdesk and searched all over. I am at a loss! Please help! Sample Motor Vehicle Repair Shop Estimate attached.
QB changed the email for my vendor to their accounting email when I paid them, and now the order email is gone. Can there be multiple emails for one vendor? If so, how?
When running the Statement of Cash Flow report and showing the report by Month and for This Year, I see a list by month of invoices. However, in closer examination this is using the Invoice Date (equivalent to the issue date) and not the Due Date which takes in to account varying Credit terms with our customers. So now we have a Statement of Cash Flow report that is incorrectly reporting Cash Flow for future unpaid invoices. How do we correct this? And why would QBO use the Issue Date of an invoice and not the Due Date in this report since that's how the cash would be collected?
When I enter a transaction in Quickbooks Online, the 'memo' box shows up but not the 'description' box. So when I generate reports later, I have to go back in and manually add a description to the transaction. Is there a way I can change the display so that the Description box shows up with the screen where I enter in all the information about the transaction (instead of having to go back and 'edit' the transaction, when the 'description' box does finally appear)? Thanks to anyone who can help solve this little snag...

How can I change a contractor's email?
I want to run away from having parents paying their tuition with credit or debit cards. There seems to be a high abuse of chargeback and disputes. With that in mind, I want to replicate the payment plans of our tuition, by using QuickBooks and ACH payments only. I believe wire transfers will minimize the risk for chargebacks, but please, correct me if I am wrong.
added bank name in chart of accounts but it doesn't have anything to pick in drop down menu-it's grayed out
When I try to change the Accounts List report to 'Last Year' it does not update the results.
