we sold out Goods to Customer when the Customer received products, the customer reported products were damaged, so we offered new goods to replace damaged ones for free. The customer keeps damaged goods. So please help how to record Journal entries about this? thanks very much. Please give the best solution, Thanks
Customer overpaid and there was no invoice to select to apply it to. Funds became a credit on the customer account (not a credit memo). How do I now use these funds that were already deposited into ur bank account to pay towards a new invoice? Thanks
How can I access a prior year Chart of Accounts / Accounts list? I can easily access and print the YTD Chart in Modern View or Classic View but I'm not able to enter a custom date range in either and have those figures pull up. When I go to Reports / Account List in Modern View I get current year figures. There is a drop down for me to change the time frame though no matter what time frame I chose, nothing changes. I spoke with the service team who couldn't help me and I searched the library and there is nothing about a prior year report. the Classic View is no more of a help. I appreciate any thoughts. Rick
When tags have been set up, and displays on screen money in and money out. Can we get a report from that screen? Running report, does not give totals.
Desktop version you could select the credit memos you wanted to apply but I can't find that option in the online version.
I can generate a summary report of how much Federal Income tax an employee paid during a specific period. However, I can't seem to find a report which will generate a spreadsheet/report listing Federal Income Tax by pay period. Is this information available? (sigh - I used to be able to do this QuickBooks Desktop...)

The monthly Sales by Customer Detail report is showing some (not all) exempt items as taxed and is adding them into the total taxable amount. However, the taxable amount in the monthly Sales Tax Liability report is accurate. The total taxable amount in both reports should match, and they don't. This is not an issue with the browser, cookies, or settings; it is a Quickbooks programming issue. The new Quickbooks changes have been frustrating and are causing me to search for a different accounting software. Please address. Thank you.
Hello all, I'm hoping you can help me with something. Prior to our FY that started 10/01 Our clients were all Account lines in the chart of accounts. Current Liabilities: REX - Resident X REX1 - Income REX1A - SSA REX2 - Expenses REX2A - RentAs such these accounts all have a balance to them. Starting this FY I entered all the clients as individual Customers, adding them in the customer center, and issuing a credit memo to mimic their closing balance on their account line as of 09/30. The problem is they all still have a balance with their old line accounts. How would I get rid of these? Is there a way to move those balances to the Customers? I'm very confused at the moment, and would like to fix this if possible before I get too deep into the FY. Thanks for any help.
We have the desktop version of Enterprise for Manufacturers and Wholesalers. We have setup low order points inside the inventory but do not get alerted when stock is running low. I have read how this feature is available to online users but can not find how desktop versions can get alerts. Is that feature available to us and does anybody know how to set it up? I feel like something is off with my balance sheet. I recorded a deposit as a cash asset and a current liability. But the cash asset showed up as a negative number on the balance sheet and the payments are showing up as a positive number under the liabilities. Can anyone out there help me with this?
ENTERPRISE ONLY-How do I record a bank service charge refund to my account?
We keep getting the" a number so nice its been used twice" or invoices deleted and overwritten with different customer from field edge. Neither company has a solution on our phone calls. Quickbooks says its a glitch and Field edge says they do not assign invoice numbers. We need a resolution, unable to receive payments without putting invoice back in system.
I have a contracting business, which does not have an inventory of materials. Every time I get a project, I buy materials for that specific project from a third party and then I charge the client whatever I spent to purchase those materials. My issue is that I categorize these materials as COGS on their invoice, but when they pay me and I run a P&L report, the COGS show negative, which cause an inaccurate net income calculation. The COGS account I current use is under expenses. Any ideas of why this might be happening?
Hello, I am using QBDT Enterprise 2020.I do see "MEMO" filed on the bottom left on Estimate/Sales Order/Invoice.I do write something on that filed. However, if I pull the report from Repot > Sales > Sales by Item Detail,I do not see the MEMO. I went to "Customize report" on the top left and checked on MEMO under COLUMNS at Display tab. After I did so, Item Description showed up...Please advise. Thank you,
I have a user who's balance sheet reports are incorrect. We can select a current date, but the balance sheet will show data going back years in the past. For example, the bank accounts will show a balance of $15MM though the known balance is only $500k. This problem only affects this one user, so I believe the problem is on the user's computer: not the server. Does anyone know how to correct this? Thanks, OXV
