When I am reconciling transactions with bank statement, each time I check off a transaction, the display shifts to the top of the page, and I need to scroll down to find my place to check off the next transaction. How can I get my display to hold still?
We liked the earlier numbering because we can look at a client's invoice numbers and get an idea of them, now it's much harder as a random looking 6-digit number. And could it just change again in the future, arbitrarily? Thank you.
Hello! We manage our business on an accrual basis, but we have a donor that requires cash basis reports. However, when we use the "cash" basis for a report for that donor, it is not accurate. For example, depreciation expenses are still included when they are added via journal entry. Likewise, while we prepay rent for a year and then recognize the non-cash expense each month via JE, the cash report includes only the non-cash accruals in the period, not the cash payments. Finally, when we sign a contract and only pay 10% of the value in the period, the entire contract value is recognized as an expense in the "cash" report. I would imagine we are simply recording these entries incorrectly or inadequately for QuickBooks Online to know how and when to recognize a value as a cash-basis or accrual-basis value to be included in the report. Any and all help appreciated on the scenarios noted above: 1) Depreciation journal entries2) Prepayments vs. monthly JEs to recognize
I previously was able to do this with a dummy credit card number. Now when I follow the instructions, I get an error and it doesn't save. This old credit card just resulted in a double-charge to a customer and I want it gone.
Rather retyping items already in QuickBooks, can I somehow "import/export" them to an invoice?
Hi, it's important for my business that I see all transactions that are not currently assigned to a project report. This way, I know that nothing is being left off of an open project and I'm billing at 100%. Has anybody found a way to do this? It appears that QuickBooks online doesn't really prioritize this kind of report, but I'm wondering if there's a workaround.

Hello, I am very confused. Certain inventory purchases arre creatinng a journal entry into the COGS account together with the inventory purchase. I have no idea how this is even possible. Can some one guide me in the right direction? BTW it happens on foreign and local currency so it is not a Exchange Rate issue. I have attached the screenshot of a bill with it's transaction journal.
I have two questions. see attached pics for more info. why is the gross revenue on the sales tax report different than actual income on the P&L? It's saying in October I had $16,135.39 in total income on the P&L, yet the sales tax liability says I owe tax on $26,838.25. There is no other income on the P&L except a depreciation expense.what about payments to subcontractors? There are a few jobs in this report that were completed by subcontractors. For example, I sold a job for $4800 but paid a sub 4k so I should only owe tax on $800. If the state collects tax from me on the entire $4800, then collects tax again from the sub on the 4k, they are double taxing. Why is QB not subtracting subcontractor payments on the tax liability report?
Hi, Could you, please, advice does the reports look like the same even if you have Simple Start / Essentials / Plus or Advanced versions of the QuickBooks and you haven't customize your settings? Is there a differences of the reports between different QuickBooks versions? Is the attached General Ledger ( or part of it) have been printed from QuickBooks? Thank you for your answers. Br, Johanna Rosnell
They paid me by check and I refunded them by check.
Everything else appears to be there
I have already look at the "Vendor Contact List" report and in the "Track 1099" column it says "yes" for the vendor. But when I run the "1099 Transaction Detail Report" and the report does not contain any data.
on my P&L I have previous payments by credit card showing as other income/expense line. How can I fix this?
How do I sort Chart of Accounts in Quickbooks Online so the accounts that I use are placed at the top of the list. Eg. Chart of Accounts says that I'm using 15 of 250 accounts. I'd like to have those 15 accounts at the top of my list rather than scroll thru all 250 accounts to figure out which ones Quickbooks says that I actually use.
Can I filter a report on a custom invoice field that only shows where either A) the custom field IS BLANK or B) the custom field is NOT EQUAL to "Y" in QuickBooks Online?
I checked all the emails and everything is correct. I called customer service but he told me the imported file was corrupt but all my numbers match and the customer details are correct as well.
Quantities of some invoice line items are not printing.
