Hi, I'm new here and whilst most things are fairly simple, I need a little help with marking payments for a Private Pension and also Charity Payments. Whilst none of these expenses are 'business' in nature and are therefore personal, I still need to have them included in my self assessment tax return. If I mark them as business they go down as other business expenses - but they are not a business expense - just something I need to capture in my tax return and don't want to lose sight of. How do other people deal with this? Thanks
In sales, customer, I can see the invoice and it's marked as paid. But how do I categorised it? Thanks in advance.
The QBO Advanced US version has this functionality where you can compare your forecasted income and expenses with the actual income and expenses under the project dashboard
For an invoice transaction type in Transaction Report, in the account column, there is "Uncategorised Income", and in the Split column, "Debtors". Does Quickbooks credit the first and debit Debtors? Does it mean that when I review the bank transaction, I need to categorised it as Debtors? And how to change from Uncategorised Income to Sales?
Unlike Sage, QB, I believe, does NOT alert you if you make a mistake and post an invoice/bill etc etc with a date outside of the tax year you are in. This really is a vital alert that I feel QB should prompt the user with. Has anyone else encountered this problem and made QB aware of this really important change that needs to be made to their programme?
Hello community. Why does "CAR VAN TRAVEL EXPENSES" allocate to "DISALLOWABLE EXPENSES" in the Tax Summary every time i add a transaction for EXPENSES in QB self employed version ??? Thank you .................
It's just a question about how other businesses tick the GDPR boxes whilst using financial software, which essentially keeps customer data, for instance, long after that customer is 'current' so not holding more data than required, and on the other end of the spectrum ensuring we don't lose all invoices info, etc, that HMRC may require should we stop using the software. Just GDPR as a whole in the context of QBO.
I have seen this question on several forums - but I can't find an answer that works. How can I generate an invoice / credit note without putting in an email address? I have tried the various solutions advised on the forums but so far none have worked (ie changing payment details to none or print later in the client account, using save and close instead of save and send).
I have just taken over running a businesses quick books and there were a lot of double entrys. I have tried deleting and voiding them. I have reconciled these voided transactions and it does it but then they keep showing up as a transaction when I start the next month. Why wont they delete or void?
