So I got the notification today that I will no longer be able to download bank data. So is there still the option to manually import the web data file, or have you just disabled the entire feature? I can't imagine that this will be a popular move for any of your customer base...I know that I'm planning to downgrade to an earlier version of quickbooks (back as far as I have to go to find a version that you can't go in and disable), but I thought I would ask. If I sold a customer a car in 2018, but 2 years later went to their house, yanked out the engine, and left a note saying "Thank you for being a loyal customer. We have removed the engine to your car because I want you to buy a new car. Now here's the GREAT thing, we no longer SELL cars, you have to rent the new car from us. It's a REALLY GOOD thing that you have to pay me every month. Paying me every month will keep me from doing things like, for example, removing the engine from t
How do i set up the sale of a mobile home with a downpayment and monthly payments on quickbooks?
My vending machine business collects cash from our accounts weekly. Should I create weekly invoices for each account for the amount we collect or create sales receipts? My only drawback from sales receipts is I don't think I can categorize them.
It is June 2023 and I am opening a QB online account in the middle of my fiscal year. I set up my chart of accounts and entered 5/31 balances for my balance sheet accounts. However, I cannot figure out how to enter 5/31 balances for my P&L accounts. There does not seem to be any way to do this from the Chart of Accounts. Can anyone give me some guidance? Thank you
Our president has decided to not pursue a client for 2 open invoices dating back to 2017. We are on a cash basis. One invoice never had a payment applied to it and the 2nd invoice has a $500.00 balance with a partial payment applied to it in Dec 2017. Since we're on a cash basis, I'm not finding clear answers on how to deal with both, especially the partially paid invoice with an open $500 balance. My thought was to void the invoice w/no payment applied, attaching a copy of the invoice before voiding. However, the 2nd one w/a partial open balance is a pickle for me. Thank you in advance for assistance!
Hello, I have a client that is having problems logging into her QuickBooks Online using her Mac Air. Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated so I can help get her logged in. Thank you.

My boss is asking this for tax purpose
I need to work remotely
We are a smaller company but have recently added two more sales reps to our team. Up until now, we have had all SO/PO's go under specific accounts because we did not need to track sales per person. Now that we have three sales reps, we would like a way to be able to track each persons sales and be able to run commission reports when needed. What would be the best way to do this? Added each rep as a "Class" was suggested to us but we were not sure if that was the best way. We are using QuickBooks Premier Manufacturing (Desktop). If you need any other information from our end, please let me know.
We recently upgraded to Quicksbooks Premier 2022 with the understanding I was fine to run Quickbooks on my Mac via Parallels. The company file is hosted on Windows. I use a Mac for my day to day activities. I use Quicksbooks once or twice a week. I have done this for many years via a virtual machine on Parallels. After spending a whole day trying to open my company file on my Mac, I discovered that Quickbooks Desktop 2022 DOES NOT support virtual machines. Why? Why would Intuit do this after so many years? It really sucks. Is there a way to work on my mac and access the company file hosted on my windows machine? No, QB Online is not an option. We tried it and did not like it.
I have quickbooks 2016 Pro - desktop - so far apparently there is no chip reader available for use with a desktop. have been using just a credit card "swiper" - had the one from QB but it quit working - bought another from Amazon - it worked sometimes, other times wouldn't work - now has quit working all together - can I buy a "swiper" from merchant services that will work with my desktop. Are we the only business still using a desktop?
I am specifically NOT asking about sharing with my Accountant. I need to share these reports with the other employees defined as users in the QBO file.
I used Capital One as my bank and starting April 2021 Quickbooks Online has not been pulling transactions anymore from this account. When I go to the Banking sheet within QBO to Update, it has a green check mark next to my bank accounts indicating there is no error however it says "Updated 4/2/2021," when I have had many additional transactions following that date. I would really prefer not to have to manually upload transactions. Anyone else having this issue?
I have a client who is a non-profit. The QBO file was started by the CFO who is leaving. She is listed as the owner. How do we transfer ownership to the non-profit, so that when we have questions, etc, the ownership will show as the non-profit or someone who is currently working for the non-profit? We know about changing the primary admin.
