Hi there -- I run payroll ONLY for myself, ONLY once a month. I do not run payroll for clients. This year the cost of payroll in QB Desktop has gone up to something like $700 (I figure, since I got an email advising me my subscription that will renew on May 2 -- in 4 days!! -- will cost $1499). I would like to utilize the free QBO, which includes payroll, for my own company file but have these account-related issues with how to migrate my QB desktop file into QBO: PROBLEMS WITH MIGRATING INTO PRO-ADVISOR PROFILE 1I can't migrate into my main Intuit profile, because some old data from like 10 years ago is in there already. When QBO was a fairly new option, I wanted to check it out & fooled around with putting some of my personal accounts in the online version. Now there is no way to migrate my own current business QB Desktop company file into QBO. A telephone support agent confirmed this would not be possible. Some columns are not self explanatory.Also can you upload bills that are closed already (ie paid)?If not can you upload matching payments in another format?
Is there a Price Level Listing as there was under Desktop so I can charge different prices for the SAME service but to different customers?

I manage a Quickbooks Online Essential setup. When we started, I had the "primary admin" role, and created a second account as "company admin". That secondary account will change hands whenever a new Treasurer of our organization is elected.That second account had a "gmail.com" email address. Less than 2 weeks ago, that account disappears from our QB setup, and was listed as "cannot find an account by that name" during login. If I try to add it back as an Intuit account, "that email is already taken". Called support, and while they weren't real helpful, it became apparent the account has been locked for some reason.So, I create a new gmail.com account and try to add it back, to serve the same purpose as the locked account. Good old mystery code 25625. I've tried all of the troubleshooting on this, attempted on 2 computers, one iPad (all Apple HW/OS), three different browsers, and EVEN tried on a Windows 11 VM using Edge. Account setup sti
This morning I got a voicemail on my office number (the number listed on my QuickBooks account) saying that my QuickBooks Online account is up for renewal but the credit card was declined. The voicemail gave a phone number to call and a person to ask for. I called the phone number, and all I got was a recording, in a synthetic-sounding voice, saying we're too busy now, please try again later. I tried this a couple of times and got the same thing. I left a message but didn't leave any PII, let alone a credit card number. Then I looked at my account online and found that a credit card payment had gone through successfully just yesterday. I verified this in my banking records. I also noticed that my phone operator (Google Voice) had tagged the call (from an 877 number) as possible spam. This is extremely suspicious. The call clearly came from a scammer, someone who knew that I have a QB account and knew my office phone number, they were hoping that I would leave a voice mail message

Our company does a lot of business with Home Depot. Recently they sent us a gift card to use. I do not know how to record the amount of the gift card into Quickbooks. I can expense things out to the gift card once I know how to enter it. I know the credit side which would be the gift card but what account do I debit?Thank youCheryl Miller
Hello, I hope you can help with the following: Current Situation:Customer A in Accounting has invoice that was converted from estimate (no payment yet)Customer B has estimates / invoices and payments Objective:For Customer A and Customer B to become Projects (names changed) under Customer A's Name What I have completed and tried:Created 2 projects under Customer A's nameAttempted to change name on invoice in Customer A to Project under the account but it then deletes everything off the invoice - therefore I do not save. What are the steps to simply move the transactions to projects?Thanks in advance!
I am new to QBOnline - just converted from QBDesktop. I would like to rearrange columns displayed on the lists of transactions on a customer's account. Is there any way to do this. Ex: I would like the Amount of a payment to display immediately next to the METHOD of payment - rather than be separated by the MEMO column

I've been using QB Desktop 2021 and have just migrated to QB Online. I receive customer payments by credit card, which I manually process with my payment provider. I need to be able to see the entire c/c number in order to do this, which was possible in QBDT 2021. I get it about data security, however it should still be possible to see those numbers - just password protect them. 100% preventing the QB user from seeing those numbers is self-defeating from a security aspect, because the user is instead going to enter the data on an un-encrypted field in the customer's QB account record. Or worse yet, keep a hard copy of the information in a drawer somewhere. What it appears like is that Intuit is doing everything possible to drive financial transactions through their own payment system. However they are greatly inconveniencing their customers in the process. Not a good look.
I am the QB Admin for my companies. We recently upgraded to Enterprise ver. 24. In the past when a user was in Single-user mode and I logged in QB would automatically switch the file to Multi-user mode and allow me to log in. However, since upgrading to ver. 24 I now have to contact the other user and request they switch to Multi-user mode. Is this an unintended consequence of changes made in ver. 24 compared to ver. 23?

I don't see an "actions" column that allows me save or "memorize" a report. I assume this is because the feature is hidden for basic Simple Start users.
Hello. I had my credit cards hacked and had to get new accounts. about a week ago, I linked the new accounts to quickbooks. They are still not showing up under bank transactions. These accounts were established back in October, so there are transactions to report. When I try to re-link them through my bank, it shows that they have already been linked. What do I do to make them show up in my Bank Transactions? Thanks, Pete
