The problem(s):We have transaction totals with no details showing on the QBO ledger for a bank account. We have detail level transactions imported through the bank connection. We can not make them match/clear properly. The situation:We are a staffing/recruiting company. Our operational software processes all payroll and invoicing for the company but has no G/L or A/P capabilities. So we use QBO for all other accounting tasks. We import a feed each week into QBO for maintaining our books using the SaasAnt importer. This import pulls in data at a group level and individual items are not available for import. A sample imported Journal Entry is:Journal DateMemoAmount (Credit or Debit)Account8/23/2020--Net Check Amount-9273.901007-008/23/2020Federal Income Tax--Withheld Taxes Payable-549.962049-008/23/2020NC: NC WH--Withheld Taxes Payable-333.002061-008/23/2020FICA EE--Withheld Taxes Payable-723.722150-008/23/2020MED EE--Withheld Taxes Payable-169.292151-008
While trying to reconcile a bank statement in my QB Desktop, there is a deposit on my bank statement but it’s not showing in QB. Is this Undeposited Funds and how do I fix it?
I need to be able to edit the "amount" column in transactions so that they read like debits vs. credits.
Good Afternoon, I wrote out a check for $1,000.00, but the bank mistakenly logged the check in as $1,800.00. When notified, they created a adjustment credit in the amount of -$800.00. How do I make the $1,800.00 and credit of -$800.00 match up to my $1,000.00 check? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Lisa
Hello: Recently, one of our employees made a mobile deposit for us. The deposit was in the amount of $14400.00 however, when they entered the amount, they put it in as $1440.00. The bank made the adjustment after seeing the mistake. Currently, I have two entries in my banking section (see image). This was one check, covering multiple invoices. I have no clue how to fix this with matching, etc. Can someone help me with how to fix this? Thanks,Sarah
QuickBooks suddenly stopped linking to my bank. I've checked my online bank access and it is fine. I even changed my bank password (as QuickBooks suggested) and used the correct bank username and password in QuickBooks, but I continue to get this error: Looks like your CENTENNIAL BANK password expired.Update it at the bank site first, then return here and try connecting again. I have manually uploaded my bank accounts and have luck with seeing the bank register and reconciling up until today. The bank register acts like it won't load any of my accounts.
I want to make sure I am correct. YES, setting up bank feeds correctly is important to having bank feeds work and connect properly.I am using Quick-books Desktop 2021 Pro version. These instructions describe the setup of automatic connecting and downloading of transactions from financial institutions. MAKE A BACKUP OF THE COMPANY DATA each time a new bank feed is made.A new backup keeps you from losing data because the bank feed connecting process requires your QB program to initiate a web connection to a different computer or server which may or may not have similar capabilities. Also, the bank feed process requires many parts of information working together to have success. I experienced many instances during the bank feed connecting process where my company file was compromised and spent many hours repairing and rebuilding files. Then, I had to spend many more hours searching for answers that were convoluted, beyond my capabilities, and simply not good enough. Make sure yo
I noticed in a check register (Account B) that a check written from one account (Account B) to another (Account A) had been entered twice. Same amount, same date. This was back in July. I deleted one of them. I'm pretty sure that the one I deleted had not cleared, so I thought I was OK.When I went to finish up reconciling Account A for December 2020, my beginning balance was off by the exact amount of that check.I really don't want to undo any reconciliations. Is there a better solution to this?
I have two bank registers on my Quickbooks desktop. I thought I changed everything to the new bank account. Unfortunately, when I enter a NSF check, it is posting it in the old bank account. I cannot close the older one yet and I cannot find where to change this in prefrences. Can anyone help!
