After months, we still cannot get the payroll system to point advance repayments to the current other asset account called Employee Advances. QBO support today, refused to open an escalated case! This is payroll 101. Anyone have any out of the box ideas?
When I go into my payroll settings to change Email Notifications, there is no option to change the preference from "Send to me and my accountant(s)" to just "Send to me".

How do I run a report to see how much I've paid myself for a specific time period? The company is a sole proprietor so I don't have any other employees. For that reason, I don't have payroll function set up. Thanks in advance!

I need to obtain payroll numbers for the state of TN, I understand there are no withholding taxes, but there is unemployment. I started setting it up through Intuit, and I was referred to CorpNet. What is CorpNet? Do they help with obtaining the numbers instantly (as opposed to waiting with the state)? It looks like Intuit allows me to start running payroll without obtaining the TN numbers - what issues does that pose with the state specifically? Will it still calculate the accrued unemployment taxes? Just curious how the process works overall.
Are payroll payouts delayed by Holidays?
At my place of employment, the last several semimonthly pay periods have been paid by paper check because "Intuit is not working." For example, I received this notification for our last pay period: "Intuit's Direct Deposit system is not currently working so your paycheck is being issued in paper form and will be available for pickup at the front desk this afternoon." Since this is supposedly a recurring issue, I'm wondering if Intuit really is not working for each pay period, or if they are just trying to stall paying us so they float the money longer (by mailing a check a day or two after payday they delay people being paid for 4-6 days). ** Other "reasons" given for late payroll: -- "Intuit Payroll Service is down once again" -- "Due to communication issues between Intuit Payroll Service and our bank, Intuit was not able to direct deposit your paycheck" -- "Due to Intuit Payroll servic
I just imported my data from desktop into online advanced. We are a church. Some of the data came in as "Allowance". How can I rename it?How can I tell if the item in payroll is setup as taxable or nontaxable?

I have the time sheets approved every other Friday, but one employee works every Friday, and is unable to clock in half the time. How can I make it so they can have those hours recorded? one employee not showing up on quickbooks time kiosk. All others are showing up so they cab clock in/out. the employee that is not showing up is properly entered in the quickbooks payroll page along with a pay wage etc. What am I doing wrong?

Suddenly finding this listing in my vehicles. I did not add it, no one else has access to my account (or should anyway), and I cannot erase it. Is this some known glitch of default vehicles etc, or should I be concerned my account has been compromised?
Under CARES, an employer can now make tax free contributions to an employee's student loans, up to $5,250 a year. I would like to input this in quickbooks online but it does not appear possible.The only screens on the deduction/contribution screen, that allow for employer contribution, are those that are pre-assigned by Intuit, like 401k. If you go to other contributions/deductions, for "other," it will only allow deductions from the employee payroll. I would like to make the contribution on behalf of the employee, we are not trying to have it deducted from their bi-weekly pay. Are there any suggestions on how to get this done, or is Intuit going to be adding Student Loans as a contribution option?
