Please pass this onto the executive board especially [PII Removed]. I have been in touch daily with QBooks for help -- several call backs, several emails but still no resolution to my problem. We had a "hold" put on our payroll due to a BANK error on 9/11 -- I know everyone says bank error but all of my ACH's were rejected but the ONLY one that went through QBooks was a direct deposit. I immediately wired the amount over so that our "hold" could be released and received an email confirming that it had however, I cannot process direct deposit due to a "payroll hold." I have talked to two customer service personnel and unable to understand them and they probably cannot understand me. I was sent a list of ACH codes to be sent to my bank but the bank does not know what to do with the codes -- no instructions. What is going on and why is the hold still there 5 days after confirmation of receipt of wire transfer. The ba
I do my own payroll (I do not use the payroll subscription). I currently hand-write the checks. I am working on ordering the printed checks from Intuit, which is the check and two vouchers. If I use them for my payroll checks will their paystub actually print out as the stub? (Their taxes withheld and such).

Please help. Can someone explain to me in basic accounting terms what happens *after* initial Pay Day transactions. I have tried twice to get some of these answers from the QBO reps when I contacted them for help. Unfortunately, I had no luck. When I “Run Payroll”, here is what I think happens: Gross wages are recorded as a debit to the expense account; net wages (as paid to the employee) are credited to cash; taxes withheld from the employee (disability insurance, social security, et) are credited to a liability account. Taxes to be paid by the employer (e.g. social security, Medicare, etc) are recorded as a debit to expense and a credit to a liability account. Is that right? When Paying the Payroll Taxes to State/Fed(I pay my taxes through EFTPS and State website) Specific Questions: 1. In QBO, when I go to Payroll Taxes>Payroll Tax Center>Payments>”Record tax payments (prior tax history”), at the
Does QuickBooks have prepaid payroll debit card program for small business? Speaking from the employer side, how can I apply to one for our employees?
I have employees who get both a salary and hourly wages for different work. How can I set that up in QB online? In Desktop, it's not an issue.
The account set up for payroll taxes paid was accidently set as a liability and not an expense.
How do I get into or log in to QuickBooks Intuit as an employee

Payroll summary report needs company name on it
Intuit QuickBooks has severely disrupted my business by placing an unjust five-day hold on my payroll services due to a first-time minor overdraft, which was resolved the same day. This delay has left my company unable to pay employees, causing devastating strain on my business relationships. Despite resolving the issue, QuickBooks continues to impose unfair fees and delays, showing a complete disregard for the real-world impact on their users—acting heartlessly and driven by greed (SICK!).Regardless: We are in the process of dropping them like the terrible, expensive habit they are! This is not an isolated case. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recently ruled Intuit guilty of deceptive advertising regarding its "free" tax products, damaging its reputation further. Intuit must fix these practices and improve customer service to prevent future disruptions.Does anyone else have similar experiences with QuickBooks? How have you dealt with these issues? They need a strong message...who is
How do I import payroll data from ADP into QuickBooks Online?
So, logical question. Why can't you edit the bank account a tax payment came out of if the tax payment was made outside of payroll? We have a couple clients that had payroll setup to come from one bank account, which has now change. They made the tax payments but either an incorrect bank account was recorded, or no bank account captured at all. When this happened, we couldn't edit that tax payment to point at the correct bank account and had to write journal entries to properly record the money flowing out of the bank account.
I have a situation where an S Corp owner's health insurance was being recorded as other the other employees with pre-tax deductions. I'm trying to correct this to get the medicare/social security paid in on the "pre-tax" amounts already paid for the year. My first thought is to create a paycheck that reverses the insurance deductions (postive amount for the pretax item) but I'm not sure what other item I would use to zero out the check. The s corp owner obviously already received these wages, they just weren't taxed properly so it should be a net zero check. Any help or other suggestions greatly appreciated.
