I've tried on different browsers. I also had a look on the app but cannot see a payroll function on there.
I changed to QBs standard payroll in Feb 20 and set up entitlement to employment allowance. However QBs showed that I had claimed employment allowance in Feb and March which I had not. I claimed employment allowance at the beginning of the 2020/21 tax year although accounts and settings did not show the correct amount.A QBs accountant subsequently told me to turn off employment allowance in Dec 20 and send an EPS to show this. This month (March) HMRC showed that I owed £4000 (which I did not) so I reset entitlement to employment allowance which has cleared the debt with HMRC.So my question is - will QBs automatically assume that I will claim employment allowance when I run the March payroll?
Newish to Quickbooks and looking to find out how I can auto add a note on the earnings line. I can do this on an added line set up through payrate under the employee but want a way to set up so there is a description of the hourly pay. Essentially I have 2 pay rates Basic and Weekend. The weekend is added on so I can automatically add a note as description however when they both appear the one set up first (Basic) does not come with a note of which I'd be wanting it to say Basic so the employee knows it's basic rate.
I recently took on an employee, when I set him up in payroll I entered his previous pay from another employer into the box for previous employment with us, I have been paying him weekly since then with FPS going to HMRC. I do not seem able to correct this error as I have paid him, HMRC say that they can't correct it and his family have lost all their benefits as a result and can't pay their bills. Does anyone know what I can do to correct this???
Hi. I have employees that are paid every 12 days. Could I use the scheduled payroll option and modify when the pay period ends? I have Enhanced Payroll.
I have 2 employees both with the same sickness dates for SSP, all dates have been entered in QB and 2 weekly payrolls run. Both employees had SSP on week 1 payslip but only one employee has SSP on the 2nd weeks payslip. Is this correct?Where can I view the sickness dates per employee? Thanks
BR code deducting deducting 50% tax in QB - support not any help. Anyone have any advice?
I could access it fine yesterday.
I am using Online Advanced Payroll and have a query regarding how SSP is worked out on the payrun. As a test, I have set up a week of sick leave (3 waiting days and 1 qualifying), as a Statutory Payment under my employee record. I have then started a new pay run with only myself added so that I could check the figures. I have set up the Statutory payment to reduce my salary - but it has only ben reduced by the amount of SSP that I receive - therefore no reduction at all in my salary. I would have expected to have a reduction by the full amount for the day, and then SSP as a lower amount being added in. My hours are set up as 6 hours per day, Tuesday to Friday. I would have expected to see a deduction of 6 x £11.43 (£68.58), and then SSP paid at £23.97 for the same day. Instead my salary is only reduced by £23.97, and then SSP is paid at the same amount, meaning no loss of earnings. If I set up the Statutory payment as "do not pay basic pay" I get none of my salary,
