HiI have 2 suppliers who have paid money to us for which we didn't raise an invoice (as they are a supplier rather than a customer) What is the best way for me to write off these amounts?Thanks

I received a refund from a vendor to my debit card. It was not related to an existing bill and I recorded it as a deposit linked to Accounts Payable account. However, in the next step of the process, when I go to record a bill credit to the vendor, I have to select an account that I normally use for refunds. I don't have that refund account created yet in my chart of accounts. What type of account would the refund account be categorized under in chart of accounts? And what would the account's name be?

Hello I am currently using the Quickbooks Desktop Version Premier 2020 UK. We have two stores and I am looking to buy a server over which I can share the software and then staff from both stores can access it and use the same company file so the stocks and all details are simultaneously updates for both stores. I would like to know if the DELL T140 Server with lets say 16GB RAM AND 1TB HDD is enough for this requirement? It will only have Windows Server and QB installed. I do not intend to use it for anything else. Can anyone recommend any servers that should be suitable for this requirement? Lets say I have 5 users accessing it at the same time.
Hi there, A staff member of ours left our organisation in the last few months. We are a charity, and this person was the only one who had access to our QB trading subsidiary account. Is there any way to get access into this account - can anyone help? Our Finance team are stuck and need assistance before year end! Many thanks Niall

Hi, I've created multiple Direct Debits mandate requests from the 'Customer' area of Quickbooks.When I go to look at lists to check who has set them up some show as 'mandate request sent and awaiting customer' and some as 'approved by customer and currently processing'. A few show as Active. When I check with the equivalent in GoCardless I can see that lots of the 'mandate request sent and awaiting customer' and 'approved by customer and currently processing' ones I see in Quickbooks are actually completed and already active. Some by over a week. How can I get Quickbooks to catch up or properly sync with GoCardless and why are they just not showing up anyway? I'm a little confused.I had started to chase a few customers and embarrassed myself as some had blatantly filled them in. Any help appreciated.Bests Matthew
Hi, an employee left so I ran payroll on payday. I then marked as a leaver but quickbooks wouldn't allow me to put a date that was the payroll date or previous to payroll date. For example our payroll date is 5th, so after running payroll then went to mark as a leaver and I couldn't choose 5th or 4th only 6th! So he is still on the payroll for this month! 🤔 I need to issue his p45 but I can't till his final payroll is run! But obviously it has been. I have worked out I should have marked him as a leaver before that payroll but I didn't. My question is how do I now deal with this please? Using quickbooks online standard. Thank you.
I was trying to change details of a sales receipt I had already deposited and I accidentally clicked on the 'revert' button. Is there a way that it can be undone because it created a journal entry which I was trying to avoid.
i have a control credit card and then cards that are linked to it. payments usually only show in the sub accounts but i have the same transactions going out of the control account
when going to set cutomer reminder the file kept hanging so closed file then tried to get back in but wouldnt accept pasward
Hi there I have only recently started using QB Self Employed and want to input invoices for this financial year into the system. I have successfully used it to create and send recent invoices but I cannot find a way of inputting invoices for earlier this year that I have already been paid for without it wanting to send the invoice to the client. Is there a way around this as I want to be able to track all income this year for tax purposes? Thanks in advance
I’m having problems with cis I have enabled cis and inputted my office account ref number and so on which is fine but when I enter my UTR number and press save and done then leave the page then re-enter my cis page it seems that the UTR that I entered previously has not saved also if I press to add contractors or subcontractor button nothing happens …this is very strange as I’ve tried this on my Mac and PC … anyone got a clue on what’s going ? Any help would be much appreciated
