Quickbooks Premier 2020 Desktop I processed our monthly PST for April and yet, while I can manually close the report window, whenever I open the company file again, that same PST Tax Agency Report for April window opens automatically. This is new behaviour and has never happened before. Any insight as to how to reset the window or otherwise resolve this would be appreciated.
How do I record the employer portion of a DPSP during a 2 year vesting period. The monies are paid to the investment company on behalf of the employee but the employee does not actually receive the benefit until after a 2 year vesting period. Thanks for any help.
I am switching from Sage50 to QBO for our new fiscal year which has started this month. I planned to wait until I received closing entries from our accountant before importing the company to QBO from Sage50. However our accountant just informed me that it may take a couple of weeks as they are moving. Would you recommend I import the company without the closing entries, or is it much less complicated if I wait for closing entries first, and continue in Sage50 for now?
I purchased a product from a retail vendor and sold it to my customer. How do I recoup that tax money without overcharging my customer sales tax? or make sure Im not overpaying sales tax to state?
Why is quickbooks online adding my bills from one of my vendors togetherExample bill 1 is 5.13 bill 2 is 15.45 bill 3 is 1011.00 so when i go to pay say bill one it has all bills listed but I have put the bills into the system separately and the amount is 1031.58 but the original amount is not correct. I am confused
It looks like maybe a portion of sales transactions are being synched under Expenses, “Uncategorized Expense” as credits. This began last year and I only noticed now at tax time. Still occurring now. There have been no synching error notifications and my sales reports on QBO match Square reports, but this is throwing my accountant off. Help?

There is an official post stating that Quickbook Desktop is no longer being supported in UK in 2023 because they want to keep the software compliant (https://quickbooks.intuit.com/uk/desktop/)Would this be the same case with Quickbook Dekstop in Canada where they will phase the product out in the future because of the compliant issue? Is there any information on this or place where I can find this information?
I need a program that syncs with QB to have a particular QB file open for it to work. I can automate everything but I need a QB file open in QB for it to work. I don't want to have to sign in to the computer, open QB and then open the file ever time that system reboots. Is there a way to automatically open a QB file without opening QB and manually opening the file?
Good morning Guys, Please allow me to re-hash a question that I have seen asked a few times now but I'm hoping to confirm if I can handle this scenario in this fashion. I have a customer that was invoiced $72, they paid (via e-transfer) $74..giving them a $2 credit. This transaction has downloaded into QBO from the Bank and generally I would just match to existing invoice but the system obviously wants me to 'resolve' the difference. If I click on 'Resolve', an 'Add a Resolving Transaction' section opens. Can I use this, add the customer, class, etc. and choose 'accounts receivable' as the category? HiOur Visa gave us a credit in our Statement for $8.25However, when I enter it as a Credit Note, when I am reconciling the Credit Card, it shows up as a payment. I saw this post below.https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/other-questions/credit-balance-refund-from-credit-card-company/00/844197I followed it and entered it as a "Purchase/Charge", then I went back to my reconciliation, and looked only on the Credit / Payment side, and saw that the $8.25 is there. I was glad, and quickly clicked Reconcile now. I'm glad I was able to reconcile my Visa Statement.However, a $8.25 is still showing up on the left side (Payments/charges). Now, I don't know what to get rid of this. If I try to delete it says, Quickbooks does not like that, etc...So, I did a test, and apparently, when I created the same entry, I see that it shows up both on the left and right side of the reconciliation. Why is that so?I tried creating a "Credit Note", and that one only shows up on the left side (P
In QBO plus (global), when you attempt to create (say) 2nd & 3rd sales taxes (thru the regular tax set-up procedures) - the program insists on using the first agency for all three taxes! I've tried to edit this default during set-up (of the 2nd & 3rd), but the agency field doesn't allow changes. When you have to account to 3 different sales tax authorities, you need a payable & suspense GL account for each (i.e. a total of 6 accounts in your COA). And you need 3 separate reports (each filing period). Obviously I need to know if this is a fundamental flaw in the global edition. As, if I continue to help my client with this set-up, and they start entering live transactions - all their sales taxes will be merged into one report! If there's no simple solution in QBO, I'll need to recommend my client use QBDT instead (where setting-up multiple STs in quite easy). Mike
Quickbooks pro for Canadian 2019, all the VPN users are working properly, just VM users can not open the company file, the error shows quickbooks on server is fine, but quick on computer can not communicate to the company file, ans ask me to check firewall, I disable firewall, same error.All vpn users outside office and workstations in office are working, just Visual machines on the same server are now working. And on same server, it is running US 2018 quickbooks server, same error, just vm users could not open the company file.

I can't back up the company file. I now receive the warning message "Unable to back up company file" I've checked data integrity and no errors were found. What is causing this problem?

The first payroll we did after switching to QBO (a few months ago) looks like it is not posted anywhere, though it does show up under the payroll tab... Can I delete and redo without messing up source deductions, etc.?

We need the account names to print on the cheque stub in QuickBooks Online for all cheques issued. We use voucher style cheques. I see that similar requests have been made in the past. Has QuickBooks addressed it yet?
Hello, There any way that when I am entering a payment before customer invoice due date the discount automatically is creating and applying? I have only see two ways: - Apply manually the discount in the invoice when you receive the payment. Which is a problem if you receive the payment in the next month and the previous month when the invoice was issued is already closed. So, if you edit the invoice you are editing your sales in PL statement. - Or creating a journal entry or credit note for the discount. Thanks,
Hi, I want to pay an invoice supplier, send a remittance slip and another attached document to the payment. I tried but they only receive the remittance slip email with the attach remittance slip, but not the extra attach document. I would like in some cases that the vendor receives the remittance slip + another document of my preference. Is that possible?
