I am a new QBO user. When setting up the Chart of Accounts I used the Opening Balance Equity account to transfer starting equity from our bank balances, inventory, and to do the first reconciliation in January (followed all the steps outlined in QBO).How do I correctly clear the Opening Balance Equity account to zero? It is my understanding that it should be cleared out and it's only used for set up. I have a sole prop.
If a charity receives a receipt from a donor for rental space that is donated, how do I record it since it doesn't go through the bank account.
Can we set up a PAD (Pre-authorized debit) for one of our clients? They plan to pay x over 3 - 6 months. We would both like to automate the payments.
We just started a company last July (2 of us) and I needed to borrow money from the company. I entered it as an expense (from my credit card) and made the category as 'My shareholders loan' and did 'exempt' for taxes. So for example I have $5000 in my shareholders loan, when do I have to pay it back? Someone told me I only have a year to pay it back?Could someone explain how this works. Thanks
I just wanted to say HI to the community and thank everyone for the great help I have received on this community.
Hi Everyone - glad to be part of this community. I would really appreciate your help, suggestions with the following issue:My organization has used QB Premier 2004-Association (Canadian Version) until 2010. Then we switched to the QB Premier Non Profit - American version (currently using 2019 Edition). We have lost the setup for the QB Premier 2004 and we don't have it installed on any of our computers, but we have the latest back up of the company file. We want to have access to the old data (before 2010), and we have been searching on the web if we can find the set up to install it on one of our computers but we can't find it.Thank you.
