We have had QB Point of Sale for 16 years. How do I delete those customers that have not purchased from us for the last 10 years?
Hello All, When I run a Sales by Product/Service Summary, my last line item is "Not Specified". The "Not Specified Category" reflects a negative balance in the Quantity Column A Sales by Product/Service Detail on the Category "Not Specified" identifies with Line Items entered on Invoices (without quantities or amounts AND discounts given - which is entered in the Subtotal area of the Invoice via a Quickbooks originating field). This Detail Report lists totals that do not apply to the Column Headings. (see photo) Not hard to figure out; however, the first column which shows the total dollar figure of the invoice before tax, always shows a negative amount. Why is this, and can it or should it be corrected? Thanks!

Hi, I am sorry for the length of the following question but I don't know another way to detail it in a better way 🙂 We purchase a product [XYZ] from a supplier.When we receive [XYZ], we create a product [XYZ-a], the total quantity is received as stock (A), categorized 'A', and therefore, when it is sold, on the invoices assumes the name [A:XYZ-a] . We want to move some quantity of [XYZ-a] from Stock Asset (A) to a newly created Stock Asset (B), so that we can sell from either of the two Stock Assets.For this purpose we have created a new product called [XYZ-b] which is assigned category 'B'.The sales from Stock Asset (B) are displayed, in fact, as [B:XYZ-b]. Just to be clear, the physical product we purchase [XYZ] is the same, whether sold as [XYZ-a] or [XYZ-b]; the two products have the same initial purchase cost and the only differences between [XYZ-a] and [XYZ-b] may be 1) in the selling price, 2) the fact that [XYZ-b] is given in consignment to some Customers
In Quickbooks Online, when you change the price of a certain item (in Products and Services under Sales), 1) does QBO keep track of the changes? 2) does user have the ability to see the history of the price changes?3) does the change only applies to new invoices created after the change and does not impact past or existing invoices? If the history tracking is not available in QBO, is it offered in any of the other QB products?
When setting up a new company, we selected the FIFO inventory costing option, but Quickbooks seems to be costing items using the Average costing. Is there something else we need to click to have QB cost items using FIFO? Quickbooks is also using Average costing
I completed the online submission January 26th or January 29th and the contractors are stating they did not receive their 1099s in the mail. Please note that there was not an email address included for them.
We recently created a couple new companies and we now need to move all of the existing transactions for several customers from the current company they are in to one of the new companies. All of the transactions would include invoices, payments made on those invoices, any credit memos, bank transactions, estimates. Is there a tool that I can use to do this that won't cost us a fortune?
I was unaware that my customers could pay through here. I now see that one has paid my invoice via credit card and i have no idea where it went or how to process it. Please do not allow anymore cc payments though this platform. I also see that this one transaction cost me over $300 dollars for this transaction. Each month I categorize rent from a rental property in our LLC. However, the rent is net rent as the management company deducts things like cleaning, lawncare and supplies. How do I add these expenses when the net is automatically entered in my bank account and comes to QB to categorize as rent.Since the rent is net then I don't want to duplicate what the management company has already deducted
I have recurring transaction reminders for monthly bills. Searches indicate a skip option in the dropdown menu next to the individual reminders. The skip option is not in my menu. Is there a setting for this? How do I skip reminders to the next billing cycle?
I'm running QB Premier Plus desktop 2022 and have not been able to access Data Protect. I've tried troubleshooting steps to make sure the Windows & Norton firewalls aren't blocking it and all necessary items are in the trusted sites. When I try to access Data Protect, the login screen pops up but just keeps loading then finally disappears. I did access it in the past although now I can't. All updates to the QB software have been installed also.
I am running Quickbooks 2020 Desktop. I was using it on my Windows 10 laptop, but it broke and so I installed QB on my Desktop PC. QB ran fine on my laptop, but I am getting an Unrecoverable Error when trying to open my company file on my Desktop. I have tried everything. Here are the steps I have taken. After I was unable to use my Desktop 2020 I was talked into (by one of your team member)to switch to online version. I did it, reluctantly , now I regret. The problems started right after I upgraded my older desktop version 2020 to 2023 (which I didn't know about , I thought all desktop version were halted) I was exporting data from Desktop version to online version, after few times there is message on my email : We’re sorry. We couldn’t import your company file(TK Floors)into QuickBooks Online. That happened many times after I even tried to verified and restore data. So I called today... Very nice lady answered my call... She instructed me to do exactly what I was doing few last days... With no happy ending.. Maybe she was nice but I think I knew more than her about this process. After checking my company account she said that after exporting data so many times. I lost it.... Great. Thanks God I still have my Desktop 2023 version that I'm planning to keep.. This line version

How do I delete donation receipts after I have printed or emailed them? We I go to print a new batch all of the old ones are still there.

The legal address for our org was changed without my knowledge somewhere in the process of adding work locations (which I had never heard of, and don't know how or why it changed). I am the only person that has access.
I am having an issue with QBO (I recently migrated from the desktop). When I create an invoice for a customer, the customer gets the Invoice with the company name instead of the customer display name. I already tried changing it in the "custom form styles" field and I don't have any options there to change that the invoice should show up with the customer name instead of the company name. I can't seem to find any info on this... The QBDataServiceUser23 user account seems to be filling up with a large amount of seemingly temporary .dat files. The file path that these are stored at is c:\users\qbdataserviceuser23\appdata\local\temp. The filenames are all in this format: search_data.##########.dat. I'm not sure what these are for, so I'm hesitant to delete them, but they're consuming almost 30gb at this point. Does anyone know what these files are for/from? Thanks!
Online instructions are not helpful and there is no place in Quickbooks/Intuit to make a correction.
It gives "an unexpected error message has occurred" every time. I have tried multiple times on multiple days with the same result.
I'm creating checks in Quickbooks, but the info is not being automatically populated when reconcling bank transactions. I have to re-enter the vendor, category, etc. Can you help?
