I just upgraded from QB 2017 to QB 2022. I went from 2017 to 2019, then from 2019 to 2022. Everything was working fine, and it's still working fine on my local PC, where I did the install. Once I had updated my company file and tested it, I move the data to my server and started there. On the server, I installed the 2022 version and opened my company file and it worked as expected. Next, I got a popup that QB needed some updates and I ran them. Once the updates were completed, I am now getting the "Something's not right..." error. Any ideas? PS: Just to review. QB2022 is installed on my local PC and it's working great with the company file I upgraded. All I have done is copy the company file to my server and try to open it on the server and that's where I'm getting the "Something isn't right..." error.
Hello All,I wanted to run an entry past you guys to ensure I have accounted for it properly on the books and for taxes. All input is appreciated. 2022 S-Corp 100% owner purchases a business vehicle for S-Corp that they will also be used to some extent in another wholly owned company of theirs but will be 100% business use between the two companies. Owner wanted to trade personal vehicle toward purchase. Prior years the companies paid mileage to owner for business use (as entry to expense and reduction of draws). S corp purchased vehicle from owner at the trade in value and then traded it for business vehicle with GVWR of 6035-6300lbs. No depreciation had been taken in prior years on the personal vehicle for which mileage was paid. I do not know if the "mileage" was reported as income on the personal return (should it have been?). Vehicle Price $61,000.001 Yr connect &
If I receive a refund, do I exclude both the income and expense transactions? Is there a better way of doing this? I've also excluded a partial refund from a bigger purchase, but it doesn't lower my business spending amount. Should I not exclude it and leave it as income? Thank you.
Whenever I create an invoice, I receive a popup bubble to "Pull details in from Google". I would like to disable this popup as it obstructs the view of the invoice. I do utilize the app but would like to disable this reminder especially since it's not used by all employees of my business. Is there any way to do so without disconnecting/reconnecting the app every time?
We recently upgraded to QB Enterprise ver. 23 running on Right Networks remote hosting. We are a small organization with only 2 users and 6 employees. QB has started exiting the program when I try to go to single user mode so I can import a payroll .iff file on a random basis. Some times it can take 2-3 attempts to successfully go to single user mode without QB shutting down. Then, once the file import is complete QB once again shuts down.
I have a question to ask. We have been using QuickBooks Desktop 2020 Pro for some time. We have used and relied frequently on the Vendor Center functions. Has Intuit removed the previous Vendor Center from QB Desktop? If so, the current skeletal replacement is a major step down from what the past versions of QuickBooks Desktop have offered. Thanks John
I've looked in my account info and typed it as it says and still have a problem
I am trying to migrate from one online instance to another. There doesn't seem to be a clean option for this. I have exported my data from the existing instance but to import in the new instance is proving difficult. Anyone successfully done this?
I am a dump truck broker. I pay sub haulers for work on hwy projects. Some of the haulers rent their dump trailers from me. I would like to deduct a trailer rental fee from their payout and put it in an income account to track the amount coming in for trailer rental fees. I don't know how to set up the deduction from their bill pay and put it in the income account. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Is there a way to have a supplier discount lower the cost of the items on the bill that is receiving the discount? Sort the way a landed cost increases the cost of the items on a bill, but this would lower each item’s cost. example: I buy different sized bags of dog food from my supplier and then receive 2% off if I pay in 10 days. Is there a way to have my cost of each dog food bag lower because I took the discount? We currently have Quickbooks Enterprise Platinum 2023.
I have a QB server running QB 2017 Desktop Pro. There are four users who access the data from their PCs and the server just hosts the data. I am now upgrading to Enterprise 2022 and it's giving me some grief. I installed QB 2022 on the server and it went off with no issues. Next, I logged into one of the workstations and installed QB 2022 onto the workstation. When I try to open the company file, I am expecting to see the prompt to upgrade, but I do not. I get an error -6902 telling me there is a problem opening the company file and it kicks me back to the home screen. Anyone got any ideas on this? Perhaps I'm jumping from 2017 to 2022 and that's not supported?
I tried to help a friend to set up some reports in QuickBooks Online. He gave me full access as an Administrator to his QuickBooks online. After I finished with all the tasks and the reports, he removed me from the primary admin's access. When I log into my Intuit account under "Payment Methods", I see the company payment info Credit Card and Checking account. I tried to delete or remove them but unfortunately, it doesn't let me do it. If I use "Data Privacy" to delete the company QuickBooks Online Plus, I just want to make sure this will not have any effect on their online operation with QB.I appreciate your help

My customer pays me through direct deposit, however there are charges they automatically deduct from my invoice for the use of their equipment and for parking. When the direct deposit comes through the amount already reflects the deductions they made, but how do I properly process that on quickbooks online. My invoice no longer can be matched to my transactions without adjusting the invoice and how do I track the deductions as they technically never come out of my bank account.
I would like to just copy the name and address of customers.
Recently bought a rental property management business and I have to send monthly invoices to the tenants, send statements and income to the different owners of the properties as well as account for my own business expenses and fees. Can this all be done with one QBO?
Hello QuickBooks Community, I'm currently using AccountEdge Pro and am considering migrating to QuickBooks Desktop MAC. Has anyone here undergone a similar migration? I'd appreciate any insights, potential challenges, or tips you might have. Thank you in advance for your assistance! Warm regards

If I manually upload a csv file to add missing transactions will they automatically go in date order?
Hello, I am trying to figure out how to grant a user access to the Accounting Tools on Enterprise that I myself am able to use - specifically "fix unapplied vendor payments and credits". I have tried giving her full access, and I have tried giving her Accountant access, and still she cannot use. Is it only the primary Admin on the account that is able to utilize these tools? It doesn't seem like that could be right. Thank you in advance!
