According to the descriptions of QBO Essentials and Plus, both offer "time tracking billable hours by customer." Plus adds inventory management and a few other features that I do not need. However, when I proceed to downgrade my plan to Essentials, QBO warns me that I will lose "time tracking billable hours by customer" as well as "create and track projects"!!! What?! Did the plans change and only Intuit provisioning knows about it? I'm afraid to try completing the downgrade for fear of losing hours entered for billing and invoices. Might I also lose invoices and payments history?
We I create a sales receipt and try to export or email it to a customer I’m not seeing the relevant information in the description or company’s name, all I’m seeing is the amount paid and balanced due. What can be the cause of this?

Why won't "account balance" amount show up on Premier customer invoice? I am able to add the box at the bottom of the invoice, but no amount appears. Also, many of the options on the footer tab for view on screen of template customization are grayed out, including account balance.
Hi,I just learned the hard way that there are limitations when running QBD on a virtual machine.I run QBD 2020 Prem on W11 Pro since it came out on a Parallels VM. I installed the various patches up to R14 and everything is running fine.After I wanted to download Capital One credit card transactions I was forced to install the latest patches (i.e. R15), but I ran into the problem that as soon as the company file desktop was displayed QB shutdown without warning nor error message. Happened 9 out of 10 times.Going back to R14 everything works correctly but I could not download the Capital One CC transactions any longer.I contacted QB support but after several "unfruitful" sessions it was determined that QBD should not be run on a VM. According to support running it on a VM is not supported. To my surprise, there are no trace tools build in or can be run that collects data for analysis to find out where exactly and why QB just shuts down.I ran the various test programs from QB Tools

Intuit,I am going to start use Desktop Warehouse Manager APP (v1.3.0.451) with TC20 (US Version). But One thing very confused me. My company has a lot products come with ITF-14 barcode. How to setup my TC20 to work with the app? With TC20 build-in scanner,When I do pick/receive, if barcode format is ITF-14, TC20 never beep. Just like it never exist. If product with UPC code, will beep. I already turned on interleaved 2of5 setting as Zebra ITF-14 requirement and used DWDemo to test it, TC20 works fine. With a BT scanner connect to TC20, your app works perfectly. So, your app can not work with TC20 build-in scanner (default setting but turn on interleaved 2of5). How to config it? This is my situation.
Hello, Is it possible to convert QB 2006 data to the new version of Quickbooks Desktop?
Saw an old topic of turning off the auto numbering feature but being able to keep the field blank so we can type in our custom invoice/job #. Back in 2020, it was not an option. Checking to see if there is another workaround. Anyone have this issue? With QBO's last update, they broke something that has changed the number sequence it is now using.

We have a warehouse distribution business and some of our products that arrive in cases that are stamped with a bar code type not recognized by QB. We want to use the barcode that comes printed on the box. We don't want to create labels and we do not have enough influence with vendors to have them change their process for barcoding product. Does the MC40 scanner, or any other scanner, have the ability to scan the barcode on the box, convert it to an EAN or Code 128 barcode type, and pass it to the Quickbooks Warehouse App allowing us to send counts to QB?
Hi all, I'm a part of a small team of developers working on an AI product for QuickBooks. It's like a Google search bar for your QB data, based on GPT technology. Right now, we can answer questions like "Show me my best customers and how many times they've shopped with me" or "How much have I invoiced by zip code this year?" without any user setup or data export (just have to log in). We're looking for some test users to try this out as we go along and tell us how we could make it more valuable to them. This is not a solicitation (we're not even close to charging for this!). But there's the beginning of a useful product here (we think). We do have a 3-minute video of our demo on YouTube, if you just want to see what I'm talking about. We'd love to get some honest opinions from folks who use QB a lot. Please share any constructive feedback here or, even better, submit it to us privately on the demo site after playing with it. How can I disable the Covid-19 Resources and other advertising in the bottom left corner of QB Desktop
In the customer center there are Available Columns and Chosen Columns. One of them is ship date which is great for sales receipts and sales orders and invoices. But Estimates generate an arbitrary date which can not be accessed on the Estimate template. Even if you choose "other" and add ship date, the date is not reflected in the Chosen Columns. How do I make the ship date column reflect a valid date?
Hi. Almost 10 days ago, I paid my subscription money for the first time. For some reason, my account was locked. They told me there was some verification problem with payment. However, payment was authorized. I have been in contact with QBO care and for the last 9 days they are telling me to wait for email from activation account of QBO. I have not received any email yet and time is being wasted. Kindly someone help me out. Its annoying. I cant access my account.
I have a client with a loan on the books. Sometimes, he pays it off with cash from his checking account and sometimes he incurs expenses on behalf of the loaner, to pay it off. I can't create a journal entry to credit the loan because it doubles the expense amount.How do I account for these expenses against the loan?Thanks,Lisa J.
Hi all,we are working with quickbooks online and would like our maintenance employees to enter their time sheets in quickbooks online. Now I am testing the functionality, yet get stuck.I have created the employee and "track time only" account in quickbooks. The employee is able to log in and add hours. However whenever the employee goes to the "view time" overview, the data keeps on loading, but is never displayed. Going back to "add time", we can see however the hours are in the list.For myself I have a company admin account. When going to "Time", I get the error message "There was a problem fetching timesheet data'. The overview shows "no time for these dates". However when I select "add time for", I can see the hours the employee has entered.I have tried to use another browser, however I get the same issue. Hope somebody can be of help. Many thanks!
We sell soap that comes in a kit. We buy the kit then mix with water to get the final product. One kit will make about 180 gallons of soap. We sell it by the gallon. How do I use an assembly in Point of sale to build 1 kit into 180 gallons. Point of sale will not let me enter a fraction into the Qty/Units in an assembly to build the final product.
Quickbooks Online - I need to add custom fields to my products and services line items like "manufacturer", "catalog number", "color", etc. that can be used to search products and will appear on the purchase order line item. Does this capability exist or has anyone found a work around?
