Currently using QBO Plus. I need to handle different units of measure and am unsure which QB product/upgrade or 3rd Party App may help. Essentially, I buy items in bulk to resell as 10pks, 5pks, singles, etc. And as it turns out, QBO Plus doesn't have the option for creating different units of measure (*thumbs down*, QuickBooks). I don't need the extra services that many 3rd party apps seems to offer. What are my options for managing inventory in this way? Do I need to upgrade to another level of QBO?
Hi, I went to complete a financial report for our township and my quickbooks crashed. I save a local backup about every week or so. I pulled that up but I last saved a backup on March 24th. Now, all of the checks and the deposits I've made since then are gone. How do I recover this? I have used the restore and verify to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, RL
Hello Quickbooks Community, I have a two part question and forgive me if this has been answered before, I’ve searched hours and can’t a similar question. If my intent is to use it for both personal and business use (let’s say 50/50). Would it be better purchase this through a business check or personal? And if done in either way what would be the way to track the asset. any insight would be appreciated thank you!
Is there a place to add inventory items like they were in QB desktop where you had the item then multiple items to make the new items tells you markup and margin? I know products and services replaced items but I not seeing where you can put the detail of inventory items in QBO like what was in Desktop. See attached.
To save time, when I invoice existing customers I usually start by copying an old invoice and make changes to it. Sometimes a customer will change their contact email and ask for all future invoices to be sent to the new email address. This becomes a problem when I copy an old invoice because it will also copy over the old email address. Is there a way to tell Quickbooks to always use the email address saved to the customer record when I copy an invoice? If not, is there a setting to leave the email field blank on copied invoices?
I received an email saying my Quickbooks Desktop is renewing and the new rate is $749 (almost double of what I paid last year). Not sure if this is legit-it came from-have to write it with spaces, as it won't post with the email address in it: intuit @ eq. intuit. comIf this is legit, QB can keep their product-I can't stand that they've inflated their prices and hijacked their clients. Anyone else have this issue?
QB recently did an update and now when I go into my accounts on QB MAC I get a message ACCESS DENIED Quickbooks doesn't have access to your Calendar events and reminds. I do not want to give it access. How can I get this to stop coming up. Thanks for any help you can give.
For drop ship orders, we create them from order entry but there is nothing on the order that reflects that a PO has been created. In fact, viewing the order in Fulfillment Worksheet, it looks like any other order which means there is a possibility that it could be double processed or even shipped from our own warehouse (in the case of items that could be drop shipped or stocked). I would like to find a way to make it easy to know that an order has had a drop-ship order created in any view or report. Any suggestions?
I want to add the sales order number to a customer credit memo for proper tracking of customer activity, but the SO # field is not an option on the credit memo template like it is on the customer invoice template. How do I solve this other than using a custom field?
Worked this morning. Not working this evening
Is there a way to split income and tag them separately in QuickBooks?Suggestions greatly appreciated, thanks.
Hello, We have a manufacturer changing their item id as they are implementing SAP.We intend to upload the new item list (with the new number) and merge with the old item so we can have the historical data. Is there any way we can do this in bulk? Also is there any way to delete items that never had transactions in bull? Thank you,
Hello We use Quickbooks Online. we have created a custom template for sending sales receipts, but we are unable to figure how to change the default template to be the custom. The work around is to switch the template to the custom one for every receipt before sending which we don't prefer. Thank you.
Can the Manager be notified when employees edit their timesheet? If yes, where can I turn on this feature?
I have a company showing up multiple times in the document management app. This makes it so much more difficult. The app is has no help in it. Please please please go back to being able to scan directly into desktop. You short cut is such a time suck. Not only do I have to sometimes scan to 3 companies to get the right one, it only scans one page a time. Most of my invoices and other support are multiple pages.
Just for my own information, when was QBO first introduced?
We have our American express account connected to our QuickBooks enterprise desktop; our previous AP left before showing me how they were doing this up until 3 weeks ago. I have reconciled the American express bank feed to the current statement period. When I finished the reconciliation of transactions it wanted to post a payment to the account, I selected yes for it to post a bill that I could pay using our bank account on QB for our records. My question now is are the reconciled transactions in QB, they do not look to be in QB on the Bill/Bill payment side. I am checking for these but am having no luck finding all of them. The account was 2 months behind, so I am in a pickle trying to fix this. Obviously, we want each transaction to hit the correct expense account and site/class for our business. I entered a few but want to make sure I am going about this the correct way before I get too far in. I understand the bank feed side now and reconciliation of the AMEX account, but previousl
Upon noticing an unapplied "credit" under a vendor account, I discovered that an earlier payment to this vendor had been applied with vendor early pay discounts to several invoices. In reality, this vendor does not offer any early pay discounts. What is the best way to journal the prepay discount out without deleting the original transaction (occurred in 2022) ? QB had automatically assumed and applied early pay discounts when the payment was applied, bringing down each applicable invoice by the discount amount, and thus leaving an open credit balance that doesn't exist. I would like to try to capture the amount back to each of the original invoices if possible.
I need to print the remittance slip and then scan it by email to the supplier. It would nb timely and cost efficient if this could be done directly from QBO.
After a recent automatic update to my QB Desktop Premier edition the "Close company/logon" menu option fails to clear all active files. When I try to login the next time I get an error message that the company is already open. I have to go into Task Manager and End Task for any QB files that are found before I can get back into QB. I contacted Intuit but their only solution was for me to purchase new versions of QuickBooks.Does anyone have a solutions for this problem?
How do I post A/R invoices for each of 12 coming months?I do not want recurring entries, as these do not post to A/R until the posting date;A/R should reflect income now to be collected in the future.
I upgraded from Desktop 2016 for Mac to 2020 for Mac. We have 2 computers we use to access Quickbooks so we use Quickbooks server. Since upgrading, several times I will open the company file and have all my work from that day gone. Friday I wrote 23 checks. Right before the end of the day, I opened the company file to tweak a deposit and all the checks were GONE. By that time, I had already mailed them, so i had to do my best to remember them and re enter them. I'm sure I missed a few. This is NOT a good way to do business. Today I found out that we paid a big bill twice because the first check disappeared and we thought it hadn't been paid. Now that account is overdrawn. I thought it had to do with opening the company file on the second mac using the QB server, but today I opened the file to find that all the checks (about 10) I entered yesterday are back in the "to be printed" status. No one has opened the file sinc

Just got email for annual QuickBooks Desktop fee but I’ve been using QB Essentials for years now. Do I need desktop when I’m only using QuickBooks online? I think I’ve been paying for something I’m not using.
