This worked for QB2000 in a Feb 2023 updated Windows 10 installation. I have not found info to do this anywhere else that still works. You need to copy the install app from program files(x86) from your existing working version to do this. To install in new windows 10:install as usual in Win 10 and get "there was a problem accessing the fonts section of the registry" error. Install aborts but leaves a folder in prog files (x86).Copy full intuit folder from program files of an prior installation that works over on top of the new program files intuit folder.Set compatibility mode of QBW32.exe app to XP SP2. -not needed for me, though suggested by others.run QBW32.exe as normal. You're welcome.

Hello. Our business is looking to upgrade our Terminal Server, which is mostly just used for QuickBooks (desktop version). We want to spec it out for the best QB performance. What does QB benefit from the most: CPU clock speed, CPU cache, RAM capacity, RAM speeds, RAM CAS latencies, disk read/write speeds, or maybe something else? The company file will be hosted in this terminal server's disk so it won't have to use the network to read/write to/from it. Our budget for this upgrade is a decent size and our accountants have some performance frustrations with QB in our current server so I wanted to get some suggestions from you guys as to what to look for when building a server that'll be dedicated for QB desktop usage. I need to purge and restart my QBO account over from scratch due to the 'help' I received from OBO support reps. I've been reading tutorials and watching videos online but am terrified to make matters worse (I can still write checks). From online research, I see that to erase the data, I need to cancel my account and resubscribe as a new user. Some articles online claim I would need to pay again during the new set up? Is this correct or can I just choose the products for which I'm already paying? Also, the instructions state that QBO retains data for a year after deletion but I don't want my old data, I need to start over. Is there a way for me to avoid restoring the old data?

HiMy client is operating a non-profit organization. It receives foods, products as donation. The issue is how to record this physical goods, products in qbo to track the record of how much is left and how much is used. I have purchased a small publishing company and have print (physical) books as well as e-books (digital) in the inventory list. The cost of goods for the digital books is zero. The "Total Quantity On Hand" is negative in most cases- sometimes by 20,000 units or more because there isn't any physical inventory for these items....There's an infinite amount of those titles available. Is there another way to categorize these items so that I can still invoice for the sales and not have all that negative inventory?

is there a way to limit the amount of late fees charged per invoice. i am only allowed to charge a late fee of up to 1/2 the original invoice amount. I see where i can add $15 a day after the grace period but i don't see where i can limit the amount of fees per invoice. will it just keep charging $15 a day until it is paid?thank youkelli
I purchased new from Ebay Quickbooks Desktop Pro Plus 2021 Enhancement w/1year subscription in September, 2022 to be used starting 2023. I installed the software February 13, 2023. The activation code would not work. I called Intuit and they said that they could not give me an activation code. Why?
