Hello - I'm a single person business owner (S Corp) with a consulting business. I'm reconciling my credit card and bank statements in one big batch today (January-July) and just discovered that back in January, I paid an invoice for outside/third-party services using my personal credit card instead of my business credit card (to the tune of almost $6K). This was an OOP expense that was then passed along to my client as a pass-through cost on their project. I billed the client back in January/February and they have paid in full. So in QB, it looks like that project is closed out and everything is accounted for. But, of course, because I indicated in QB that I had paid for it with a business credit card, I'm now I'm looking at a line item in that account that isn't reconcilable because it wasn't actually paid for out of that account (nor out any of my business accounts). And I'm realizing that I paid off that personal card out of my personal funds, not my business' funds. I'm trying to f
Hello, My question is…I entered a bill and it was converted into a bill payment and the check was about to be mailed. Then it was decided to pay this vendor with a credit card. Anyways- I then voided the bill payment but the bill is now in the pay bills . I don’t want it there, can I just void the bill as well to get it gone from the pay bills? Or will that mess something else up?
We have one company card for two separate entities. Majority of the charges are through one account, and I have been receiving payments from the company that has lesser of the charges. How do I record the payments from the other company to the one that is accruing the balance? What is the best way to reconcile an account like this?
Money received via payment links are being automatically categorized as sales income when we would like them to be counted as payments on customer accounts. Is there a way to change how the received payments are recorded automatically?
What if I put in a bill with X for the Class - and then I put in a Check with the Account being Accounts Payable, and Y for the Class, and then apply this Check Credit to the Bill.Which Class will QB use for reporting? X or Y? the one from the Bill or the one from the Check? Will it make a difference whether I run a Accrual Report or a Cash Report? Will it make a difference at all?
Occasionally I will make only a partial payment on my credit card instead of paying the whole amount. In the pay bills screen, I click the bill for the credit card and enter $2,000 on the right hand amount to pay column. When I reconcile the credit card the following month the $2,000 doesn't show up on my reconcile screen so it shows I'm $2,000 off. What am I doing wrong?

Where do I start??? I wonder what island the Intuit CEO is buying this year! What do I have to do to get paid through your (cough) service???
I am new to Quickbooks and was testing a setting called "progress invoicing". After I enabled this setting it prompted me that this would change the template(s). I clicked ok. What ended up happening that I really don't like is it changed the user interface, and removed some features I previously had. I believe what happened was it switched me to the "old estimates experience", and I'd like to know how to switch back to the new one. This Is what my user interface originally looked like:I had the ability to create a deposit amount (I still have this enabled in settings). I was also able to save and copy a link to my estimate. Now the estimate page looks like this: Any help would be very appreciated! Thank you.
In workflow how do you stop the admin entering bills from automatically being approved?
We are a manufactering rep and receive commissions from our vendors when our customers order direct from our vendors; what is the proper way to record that in qbd? We also recieve buy/resell orders as well and track inventory.
We are moving to use Quickbooks as our main invoicing platform and we will be creating most invoices via the mobile app. We have both ACH and Credit Card payments turned on in the settings. When I create an invoice via my laptop the payment types are both online payment options are on. When we create an invoice via the mobile app they are both off and we need to turn them on every time. Is this a bug? Seems like it should be the same across the board and that we shouldn't require our team in the field to click these every time.
I use QB desktop with QB payments. Is there a way to assign a default class to the batch fees?
I will be on vacation when I normally process payment for a few customers. Is there a way to receive payment today but it not charge them until the 3rd?
We have QB Enterprise 2022 and certain stations drag when processing credit cards. Literally some stations are lightening fast while others take 2-4 minutes for a CC to process. We have changed ethernet cables, we have replaced the PCs with new and more memory. The issue persists! We have no other connectivity issues for any other programs we use in the office. It is ONLY QB and processing payments. Anyone have any clue?
We pay our contractors through a third party company called Openforce. We fund Openforce for our contractor wages through direct deposit and they send the payments to them. We deduct from each contractor a small technology fee. When we get the bill in we pay it but how do we show the deduction on the funding for Openforce? What account do we use? When we pay the bill we record it in the Recruiting account. Do we use the same account when we show the deduction on the contractor funding?
I had to void a lost check by deposit for 3 bills but had to pay by credit card for those 3 bills. Do I have to reenter those bills again? Its shows they are paid in QB but I need to process CC transaction.
I have a vendor whose payment terms are:For an example invoice dated 7/01/2022, with a total due of 1,200.00, the payments are due:1st Payment due on 9/25/2022 for one-third of the total or 300.002nd Payment due on 10/25/2022 for one-third of the total or 300.003rd Payment due on 11/25/2022 for the final third of the total or 300.00 I have encountered these terms, in other applications called Multi Term PROX. The terms include a number of months to add tot he Invoice Date, then the day of the month Due. PROX 2, 25 would indicate any shipment in July would be payable on the 25th of the 2nd Proximate month, on the 25th day.Multiple PROX would take the Invoice Total divided by the number of Payments and assign due dates to each partial payment, as follows:PO Amount $1,200.00 shipped on 7/1/2022 under Multiple (in this example) 3 PROX Payment Terms of 2, 25; 3, 25; 4, 25 would become due:$ 400.00 on 9/25$400.00 on 10/25and $400 on 11/25.I have also encountered functionality calle
Currently each time we make a payment via contract payroll- the bank statement only shows it as Payroll/Payroll and no indication as to which contractor received that amount. Is there a way to ensure the bank statement has the contractors name?
How do I wire a payment to vendor?
I am working on creating invoices for the first time in QBs. Our address in the upper left hand corner is just has our company name and the city state and zip but seems to be missing the line that shows our street address. When I try to edit it, it says I need to update our legal address but it is correct for our legal address. How can I fix this? I figured it out, I had to hit no to update the legal address and make the changes in the original page for it to stick.
I received email that a payment has been received. It has been more that 3 business days and this payment has not been deposited into my bank. (I have received other payments after this one that have already been deposited into my bank. I checked to see if is pending but it isn't listed. What should I do to figure out where this payment is?
I have been unable to get clear answers about Pro Advisor rates for QuickBooks Payments. Merchant Services sends me to Online Support and they send me back to Merchant Services. I have been riding this ping pong ball for days. Today I was directed to Quickbooks Accountants website and spoke with Sales, who could not help me because I was not a new customer, already having a merchant account. My clients who use QuickBooks Payments have a similar complaint when they try to get support. We need one landing place!
Hello: I'm looking for suggestions related to the multicurrency feature in QuickBooks Online. Here's the situation I'm dealing with: I live in the US and have multiple customers in Canada who I bill in Canadian dollars. They pay by wire transfer into my US bank account, and the amounts are automatically converted into US dollars. To complicate things, sometimes this client pays multiple invoices at once, and sometimes they deduct their wire transfer fees from the payments. I (and my bookkeeper) can't figure out how to mark these invoices as paid in QBO because the amounts received in USD are always different and never match the exchange rate stated in QBO. Has anyone found a way to handle this other than retroactively creating new invoices that match the payment received in USD? Thanks!Corinne
I paid a vendor using an automatic bank draft which is showing up in my bank feed in QBO. What is the best method to clear this from my bank feed and apply it to multiple unpaid bills?
