Hi, I ran a General Ledger report, and it shows breakdowns on items like Sales and bank accounts / credit cards, but certain items only show the total instead of a breakdown. For example, Google Ads are placed in Bills and the credit card accounts shows Google Ads. When I scroll down to Advertising, there would be only a grand total without any lines displaying Google Ads. 1) Does anyone know how I can show the breakdown?2) Is there a way to show the Account Number for the accounts? I turned on Accounts Number in Advanced Settings. It shows in Chart of Accounts, but not the General Ledger. Thanks
I run a small business and trying to understand our reports a bit better. I can't seem to find the exact answer in the forum. Our business revenue has decreased recently after being very profitable during the pandemic. In July we had a Gross income of $120k with total expenses of about $115k giving us a net income of about $5k on our P/L. In addition to the expenses on our P/L my wife and I pull an owners draw (the company is an S-Corp) as well as have a few loans totally about $28k/month. We made the mistake of taking a shopify capital loan so are paying about $14k a month just for that.Our bank accounts don't seem to be decreasing at a rate of $23k a month so I'm confused how it affecting our overall viability. We have real fears we're missing something and will run out of money soon and go bankrupt.

I just discovered that, when in the item list, the Quantity on Hand number for some items is incorrect. If I do a quick report on the item, it shows the correct number. For example, one item had a vendor credit that reduced the quantity on hand. This is reflected correctly in the Quick Report of the item, but it is not reflected in the Quantity on Hand column of the Item List. It is also reflected incorrectly on the Physical Inventory Worksheet, which makes no sense to me and is obviously very problematic. I also just removed an item from a vendor bill that was on there by mistake. The Quantity on Hand for that item in the Item List is still showing the quantity that was on the invoice! The quick report of that item has the correct number. What on earth is going on here? If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate some help. I am the admin and have all the permissions and access. All of the dates are correct.

The documentation appears to be conflicting in a number of areas around the “Batch-import products & services NEW” as well as the “Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online” help article. 1. The “Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online” help article indicates upload of 1,000 rows of data, while the Batch-import products & services NEW process only allows 200 records per file.a. 200 records is a relatively small number of “batch” records in my opinion so I would like to be able to batch-import 1,000 records in ALL areas of the application. 2. My accounts receivable is now negative because the QuickBooks Desktop version that was doing monthly recurring charges did not transfer properly to QuickBooks online. How do I zero this out or apply the proper payments to those invoices? Without messing up balances

The "Connect to Square" app stopped importing transactions from Square to Quickbooks Online after March 18, 2025. There are no apparent ways to force an import or to troubleshoot the connection or the app. Is anyone else having issues with the Square app and connection being broken?
I front money for Customers and get reimbursed. Instead of categorizing these expenditures in an expense account, I tried to categorize it as a reimbursement account and it sad to assign it to a Customer, but if the customer isn't showing to go to Preferences, Vendors and Purchases and turn on Expense Tracking By Customer. I can't find Preferences or any of these settings and the AI assistant answers here are way off. Can anyone help me out?
Under our inventory item list a part shows 21k OH. When we run the Inventory Item Quick Report, the OH shows 5,600. A receiving we did yesterday is not showing up on the report, part ordered, paid by check. All other receiving's are showing for the year.
The price rules are set up with individually selected customers and products/services. However, when an invoice is created for one of these customers and the product/service has a price rule, the price doesn’t reflect the rule. Instead, it shows the default pricing for the product/service. This requires multiple people to review invoices for accurate pricing, which makes the price rules almost pointless. The users restart QuickBooks daily and check for updates weekly. Has anyone found a fix for this?
Hi! I am a new user and I am trying to figure out how to fix duplicate bank accounts/transactions. This is a rather lengthy post with the detailed info of how I got here, but if you scroll to the bottom you will see a summary. Thanks! Here's what happened: I was having issues linking my bank when I first created my account, so instead I downloaded the transactions and manually loaded them. Fast forward a week and I was able to link the account, but I selected the same start date as the file that I loaded, resulting in overlapping transactions for 4 months (I guess I thought it would know it was the same account, or give me that option, but that was my mistake). I was able to speak to QB support person, who told me to unlink the account. When I did that it is no longer showing in the Bank Transactions section, she told me since it hadn't been reconciled it was no longer there. Great! I figured I could just go back and link the account to the existing bank account that wa
