I can pull up a list of Sales Orders using the "Open Sales Order by Customer" or "Open Sales Order by Item", but when I click on any of the Sales Orders listed, nothing happens.
cc accts I no longer need to reference for tax i want to delete, it won't let me; why? It only lets you delete all the cc's in one bulk delete...QB doesn't need info I don't want used, so why the lockdown?
We seldom use this card anymore and are waiting for a refund. In the meantime, how do I reconcile it in QBS online? We have been waiting 6 months for the refund and QB's won't let me reconcile any statements. Error message says the account isn't ready to reconcile yet. The beginning balance off by the amount of the credit.

I linked my account and it was automatically organized wrong. To fix this is a complete pain. I need to just remove everything and add my income manually.
Can I undo the last 2 bank reconciliations? Or can I only undo the most recent reconciliation?
Help?We run the Invoice List standard report usually once a week or more to cross check current and compare previous time periods. Today the data is literally not there. It now reads "Your selection doesn’t have any info. Change your selection or start a new search." Nothing has been changed, no changes to filters, or anything else has been done. HELP?
I'm using the test site - trying to toggle Enable account numbers and check Show account numbers - but keep getting the same error message. I've cleared my cache and history, and even waited 2 hours. Still the same error message
I am the bookkeeper for 2 sister centers. Sometimes our clients pay the "wrong/opposite" center so we have to transfer the funds to the "correct"/other center. Further, there are loans between the centers, as well as loans from the owners. So I was directed to start an "Other Liability" account called "Loan From", with subaccounts to distinguish between the two. Some of the funds are dedicated to a Customer but sitting in the Loan From. I can & do invoice the customer as per normal but currently the dedicated funds are still in Loan From. Is there a way to credit the customer directly from Loan From (preferred) account? Or, if not, what is the best way to account for the payment into income, but also pull the amount FROM the Loan From account? How to do this w/o unduly crediting/debiting the wrong accounts? Is this even possible or should i set up the Loan From account differently? Thanks so much!!!! WendiK
I manage the money for student clubs at my school and am looking for a better way of letting the advisors know what transactions have cleared and what the account balance is. I would like a report that shows all the transactions for the fiscal year and the running account balance but does NOT show the “total” of the difference between credits and debits. The closest I’ve gotten to this is the Balance Sheet, but at the bottom it shows the total. The total just causes confusion, especially when the total is negative, as the advisors think that’s the account balance. I really wish I could make a report look something like a bank statement, with beginning balance, transactions, and ending balance. Is there a better report I should be using? Or is there a way to not show the total on the Balance Sheet?
invoice included a tip, so I am wanting to see how this works. Restaurant business - new to this type of company accounting
I billed my customer and then had to revise the invoice. They paid the original invoice in full. Now I have this unapplied payment just sitting there because I had to issue a credit. How can I apply both?
I have used QuickBooks for many years and used the online version now for quite some time. Probably around 3 years ago, reminders on the Reminders List stopped reflecting when they were fulfilled or ever showing they are fulfilled at all. I have chatted with QuickBooks reps via the chat feature, spoken with them on the phone, and exchanged emails regarding this issue. In all of this time, they have never helped me or fixed the problem. This makes the Reminders List nearly useless. I used to be able to actually look at this list and see if I missed receiving a bill that month or missed recording a payment to a credit card, etc. Now, I have 173 pages of reminders showing on my Reminders List, and most have been fulfilled. I would have many more pages if I didn't manually go through occasionally and tell QB to "skip" some of the dates that called for action. It is very annoying that something that once worked so well is somehow not being fixed. Do other business not utilize the Reminders
Hi there, I'm not up to date on the latest features QB offers to streamline/automate this process but I have to think there's some features that provide these solutions. It seems as if this reporting hasn't changed in roughly 30 years and everything is done through manual excel entry. Are there QB functions we're missing out on that I should be aware of?
I need add some accounts in QBO, but there is no accounting tab here. I tried to add from Chart of Account, but it doesn't work.
Hi - I have a few clients that use QBO payroll. They are required to remit certain payroll/employee information with each payroll to their 401k record keeper. Currently it's a very manual process as the information is on a couple of different reports. Manual processes tend to lead to errors :(. Does anyone have experience in building custom reports? This is the information needed by the 401k record keeper. What is the best approach to replace a stale dated check in QBO? The stale dated check was dated April 2024 and is outstanding as of December 2024. Replacing this stale dated check this month of March 2025? Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Is anyone aware of a labor distribution report in QB Online? With each pay period end, I would like to have a report that lists each employee and how the pay dollars were posted to the general ledger by account. This will help me monitor labor allocations and make necessary reclasses.
Has anyone successfully used any scripts in their browser configuration to automatically clear your cache throughout the day while using QBOA? It is loading a monstrous amount of data into cache for tracking and other purposes and makes the system unstable by around midday. Going in and manually deleting the cached files is burdensome and sometimes ill-timed when you are typing and the system starts getting sluggish and unstable. (or it cannot save your work). Here is what I've tried:-I run QBOA only in Firefox, which I don't use for anything else.-I set Firefox to clear all cached files and cookies when it is closed to be sure that day-over-day use isn't building up.-I cleared the cache, checked it confirmed it had cleared in "about:cache"-I logged back into QBOA fresh and then checked cache again. It is putting enormous amounts of data into cache immediately at logging in and bogs down the system rapidly as it adds more and more tracking data while in use.So, because I don't have hour
QuickBooks is breaking up the New Mexico Tax into State Tax, County Tax, and City Tax. When I pay sales tax in NM the entire rate goes to the ONE specific tax location, it is not broken up into three, which means the sales tax report it worthless when trying to calculate and pay my sales taxes. Also, QuickBooks never pulls a straight county tax, so it appears it only pulls on the zip code which pulls the higher city tax rate, however, most of our work is in rural county tax code areas. Does this mean that I need to do my NM sales tax manually and enter and correct my own rates? Is QuickBooks going to fix this issue for the State of NM for their automated tax rates?
