QuickBooks Q&A

I have everything checked off properly with what QB Help says to NOT auto send them the invoice, however it still does!
I did not choose a payment method for the customers, but I have a large deposit pending for my employer. I thought that I was doing him a favor and that there were pending payments to be received per the video that I came across. But I'm finding that I may be incorrect. This account needs a lot of help and I'm wiggling my way through.

I am working on ProAdvisor Academy training and am on the second module about tracking inventory etc. The problem I ran into in the first module and now in this one is that the answers I give some time are correct, but the program marks them wrong, even though my answers match the correct ones exactly. Has anyone else run into this?
i wan t to add additional amount
Almost feel silly asking this ... I have some minor ... really minor ... amounts in local payroll tax liabilities, and I've been looking around trying to use adjust payroll liabilities to clear them. Without success. Seems like the terms I use to seek information is not at all the terms QB uses. I was assuming that if I entered an adjustment for a specific liability in the opposite direction of the liability balance the liability would be cleared, but that doesn't seem to be happening. Let's say that a liability has a $.01 balance and should be zero. Since that is a liability, I assume it is a credit balance. So if I enter a debit .01 it should net to zero ... no? It then says $.02, so I modify the adjustment to a credit, and then it says $.01 again. What am I missing? What is the secret to this? It's almost as if I've been drinking too much without any of the benefit of getting hammered!!!
Can someone help me, I'm trying to set up a checking account on QuickBooks but when I get to the screen with the design your own card that's as far as I can go. It won't let me move to the next step
Payroll update required before I pay my payroll liabilities. I ran update for tax table version 22506, payroll version 02232344 and it still will not let me pay the liabilities. I am using QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus 2024.Help please!
I have one person shown in my 1099 list who only have 1 out of 2 payments I made to this person.
I have Accountant Desktop Plus 2024. Just did latest update release and now my memorized reports are messed up in my clients' files. What's going on? Was on phone 2 1/2 hours with excellent QB Tech and he went up the ladder for solutions and feedback. We did the Tool Hub, reloaded a company file, and a few other procedures. Nothing fixed the problem. Only thing they can figure out is that when I did the update, it "broke" my memorized reports. Now I have to process/tweak several reports in 40 different client files now. What a time consuming process we have ahead of us. I'm not happy at all.Examples: Memorized Checking Account Register - columns I had were: Type, Date, Number, Name, Memo, Debit, Credit, Balance. The update changed them to: Type, Date, Name, Split, Cost, Sales Price, Act. Sales PriceState Unemployment Quarterly Report: I had Source Name, Date, Payroll Item, Income Subject to Tax, Wage Base, Am
Been working fine for over a year. Now, no transactions are imported and/or shown for matching. I've tried qbo, ofx & csv; all fail to import, yet webapp screen indicated import complete. I opened qbo file with text editor and full of data. Any ideas? Thanks.
We are a small Non-Profit with only about 130 members. Essentially all A/R is from Pledging, so our A/R Account will simply be Pledges.Of those who pledge, about 10 "Pledge Units" are couples. There are two ways to set this up: Family Name with each person being a Subdonor; or Each person is a Donor. Each has its pros and cons. The dilemmas include - how to adjust the account if one person dies; if the couple separates. So the real question is - which of the above approaches minimizes hassle in the event of relationship changes? Thanks.
I'm trying to use the bounced check function but it is greyed out. I have checked that the customer payment method is set to check. The payment has been deposited to the bank account and payment screen shows "cleared". I've looked at every check for the past few months and every one has the bounced check icon greyed out. Any ideas as to how to turn this functionality on? Thank you.
QBO only allows you to accrue the 40 hours of yearly sick time (per hour or per pay period) over the course of the whole year. CA law now requires you to accrue it at a rate of no less than 1 hr of sick time per 30 hrs worked. QBO has no way of specifying this. Their only option that complies with State law is to give them the 40 hrs up front which most employers do not want to do. Is QBO payroll going to the sick pay accrual options to comply with CA State law?
Using the very expensive QB Desktop Pro Plus 2024. Each month, I've been manually downloading statement transactions from the bank and importing them into QB for account reconciliation. Suddenly, QB has stopped importing the transactions. When I try to do so, I get a "Select Bank Account" popup saying that QB "does not have an online account to handle these transactions" with 2 radio buttons: "Use an existing QB account" and"Create a new QB account." When I select "use an existing" (because these accounts have existed in QB without problems for years), no accounts show as existing. How can I fix this, please? I repeat that I'm using manual downloading, NOT bank feeds that connect directly to our bank. I wangled a tech support phone number from a reluctant QB employee, only to spend an hour listening to a very nice lady reading all the QB fixit articles I've already read and that do no apply to my issue. So Intuit will not help me.
Someone who didn't understand Square and Quickbooks integration set up a new item in Square that wasn't correctly configured. I should be able to assign the right account in the App Transactions interface with Square, but the dialog box will not display the correct Quickbooks Account for me to use. This used to work correctly for me, but now the details screen for Square transactions in Quickbooks is not supporting the things I need to do for our books to be correct. Assigning the correct customer and the correct revenue account is often completely impossible.
How do you obtain a discount code for check reordering?
QB self employed will no longer connect with my bank and all of my past years data is gone
I made a reimbursable expense transaction on 12/30 via on-line banking. i initiated the transfer through my personal account drawing from my business account. I completed the transfer on 12/30 and the money was deposited into my personal account on 12/30, however the money was not withdrawn from my business account until 1/2/24. so now that expense is showing up in 2024 instead of 2023 where i need it. Is it possible to change this? If so how? I use QB online
Investing in another business that does not do the same work(cleaning services) as what we are doing now(HVAC) Can I sell the license to an older version that we do not use anymore for that business? or will QB in their almighty greediness put a kabosh on it.
Hello, I have recently purchased a Self-Service Kiosk that processes transactions at my facility. I want to be able to post the payments made on the kiosk to Quickbooks using APIs (https://developer.intuit.com/app/developer/qbo/docs/get-started). What is APIs are required and can someone point me in the direction of more resources to complete this. Currently, I process all transactions on my desktop.
Dont know how this happened.
