I need to do my travel expenses as all expenses and not by mileage. I have contacted QB regarding this with no success. Please can anyone help.Thank you, Steve White, self employed.
When I receive a refund from one company I use, I pay the amount e.g £300 then receive a refund of £30 but then send me an invoice of the difference, for example £270. How do I then match the payment of £300 and the refund of £30 to the invoice of £270.

Hi,I have noticed on our VAT return that in the total VAT on sales section Box1, bills for our CIS subcontractors who are VAT registered are showing up in the sales section , they are also showing up in box 4. Their reverse charge vat total is showing in the total of the VAT due on sales.Is this correct, I thought sales vat was only taken from invoices as the payment of bills forms an expense.Many thanks in anticipation
Hi all, I am in a dispute over some overdue invoices and need to check the date that the invoices were sent out from the system (Quickbooks for Self-Employed). I have a 60 day payment term from the date the invoice is provided to a client, so the manually entered "invoice date" and "due date" are irrelevant - I need evidence that 60 days has passed since the invoices were actually emailed out, but I can't see any way to audit this. Help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I am a sole trader and I am trying to find a payment platform for my new business which 1) integrates to quickbooks accounting for free and which is nice n easy!2) if anyone knows this bit also: the payment platform needs to pay out to my business account automatically (not like paypal where you have to go in and manually get your money every month) Thanks Alison

QBO wish list changes from QBDT (UK)Having had to say goodbye to QBDT to QBO and read so many posts on here about wanting things changed only to be told to use the Feedback button that clearly seems to fall on deaf ears, how about use this post as a wish list for all those upset/angry UK customers in an attempt to win them back and make them feel a bit better with using QBO which to be honest needs a god dam revamp and some……..I’ll start with my wish/need list, please feel free to add to this in order to get someone to listen, maybe we might actually get heard and see some improvements..1) Too many mouse clicks to do a simple thing, example, creating an invoice or purchase order – One click to activate the Item/Description column, then another click to get items listed before you can even enter any text? – Pointless2) I’m using a 24” screen, yet 2/3rds of the screen for creating an invoice or purchase order is taken up with an annoying “Payment Options” and one hell of an annoying cons
I have followed the steps in the guides for QBO about how to send remittance advice (expenses -> filter for bill payments -> batch actions -> send remittance advice). However, that option simply doesn't exist in my account/for my access settings. Is there a setting somewhere I need to turn on to be able to do that? Or does paying bills via QBO automatically send remittance advice once the payment is initiated?
Hi Everyone, Please be aware of an issue which started at approximately 10am 06/04/2023 where invoices/ transactions which are sent from QuickBooks are not being received to clients emails. We have raised this as high priority to our engineering teams who are currently working to resolve this. Most of our customers have net monthly terms (30 days EOM) - does not appear to be an option in any drop down box. Can anyone advise please
Hi there, We made two purchases from a supplier, bills were created and payments was linked. Couple of days later we received a credit note for one of the purchases and funds was refunded. Question:Will I be able to link a deposit to the supplier credit to balance out the expenses or does this process only work on deposit with no supplier credit created? Apologies for what might seem to be a simple question. ThanksChris

Has any one found a way to migrate custom fields. I am using Desktop Pro and am looking at Online Advanced. I have managed to recreate the custom fields in the online version. I can export the relevant information using Zed Axis required to fill these fields but can't seem to find anyway to be able to map an import to bring the information across.
Exported List of Transactions to Excel - Credit Note information does not export correctly The numbers asscociated witht the credit note i.e the quantity price column all of the numbered information exports but i can't do anything with it in excel, Excel does not recognise it as a number. Invoices and payments export as normal. Can anyone help?
