Is there a way to create a time type that records the time entry to the project, but doesn't add the $$s to the project? But instead records that time type to overhead? Thx!
Is there a way to set up absent codes in Time off reports? The only "Time Off" code we have now is Vacations. What other codes should we have? Is there a way to distinguish between paid time off and undpaid time off? Thanks LDO
I have found the Tardies include Absence report, but I want an absence report that is absence only. I do not want to see tardies. Also I would like an unexcused and excused absent report. ThanksRE: absence absent report quickbooks time
Hello QuickBooks team and fellow users, I’d like to suggest a feature enhancement that could significantly improve workflow efficiency: the ability to easily convert an Expense transaction into a Bill Payment. It’s quite common—especially when working from the Banking feed—to mistakenly categorize a vendor payment as an Expense when it was actually meant to pay off a Bill. Currently, correcting this means deleting the Expense and re-entering it as a Bill Payment. While effective, it’s tedious and prone to oversight. This issue often arises when the Bill hasn’t been entered yet at the time the payment is categorized. QuickBooks understandably can't match it—but once the Bill is created, perhaps the system could recognize the potential link and prompt: “We found a recent Expense that may relate to this Bill. Would you like to reclassify it as a Bill Payment?” Also, if users could simply click “Edit” on an Expense and choose an option to convert it directly to a Bill Payment
I have an QuickBooks times administrator. As an administrator she has access to everything. However... her husband, like most of our employee's spouses check their workforce app weekly to see his paycheck. Can this administrator have two different email accounts? She needs to have two workforce idenities, one as an administrator and one as worker. Or maybe she needs two different workforce logins. Can i configure it so that she can login in as admin with a co email. [email address removed] and see everything but also log in under her gmail account and only see the stuff that only pertains to her? Another question: Is it possible for an QB times administrator or QB Times manager to not be a paid employee of our company? I think you can give priviledges to a CPA or accountant so that they can see your stuff. ThanksL
What is the proper way to handle Salaried employees on QuickBook Time? Should they have their on Shift?Even though the employee is on a salary their vacation is still limited.ThanksLDO
Hello, Is it possible to set a limit on how early an employee can clock in, and how late they can clock out. IE, 5 minutes early or 5 minutes late, without needing a supervisor to approve the punch? this for Tsheets Kiosk
when switching jobs, the crew no longer has to fill out all fields. Can that be changed?
We use a Lunch Punch in Time. Employees have a 30 minute lunch. We recently discovered that it is auto punching in at the 30 minute mark. We had an employee that was not back at the 30 minute mark but Time punched her back in automatically. What do I have to uncheck to get the employee to punch their time manually?
I have two accounts as an owner and employee. My primary account and employee accounts for timekeeping need to be synchronized for proper accounting in U.S. government DCAA standards. How can I do this? Thank you. R/Chris
I recently moved from QB Desktop to QB Online. I am the owner of the business and the only employee. I have the Simple Start Plan, and I can not find where to record my time in order to prepare an invoice and bill a customer. As I dig into QB support, it appears I am not able to do this with the Simple Start Plan, and will have to upgrade to the Essentials plan. Is this correct? If this is true, I am pretty upset. I will be dissolving my business in 4 months, and moved to QB online because it was significantly cheaper. I made it clear to the sales person I spoke to that I would still need to do everything i was able to do in Desktop, and was assured that would be possible. If I need to upgrade to Essentials, I will be looking at the same price as what I had for Desktop! If I am missing something, please let me know. Thank you.

S0, as I am WAITING for employees to complete their last week time cards through workforce.... I thought I would try a discussion for tips on a very and i Mean VERY costly issue, trying to get all those hours on an invoice from their time cards. I know the basics, hopefully everyone reading this does. Once you approve the hours (make sure the hours are billable) and submit to payroll, one can thus create an invoice. Simple right? Not really, firstly - i like to bill at the end of a job. I with-hold a week, so there's one week. My employees are always missing hours/ filling out days etc.... So, now two weeks after job is completed.... maybe now i can start billing..... and some how days still get missed that i see if i go to "SALES" then hover over and click "ALL SALES" . This is the Life Blood to gauge your ability to complete what was once a simple task, now convoluted with technical advances in apps that are meaning to help.
In Q4 of 2024 we migrated our company from QBDT (including Desktop Payroll) to QBO Advanced, where we are using the bookkeeping, Payroll Elite, QB Time Classic, and Live Expert Assisted products/services. In our business, we have employees whose duties shift across multiple Workers Compensation class codes. In QBDT, we were able to track this when we entered employees' time into QBDT. Now that we are in QBO, it appears we no longer have this capability -- to assign Workers Compensation class codes as we enter their hours into QB Time to produce verifiable time records for Workers Comp insurance. Has anyone else in the Community found this to be true? Or, (question for Intuit) which Intuit Support group should I be contacting to get a better understanding on this question, since it involves multiple QB products -- should I be contacting Priority Circle, QB Time, my QB "Account Exec" who upgraded us to the Online products, or some other group? If anyone in the communi

Does anyone know an expert quickbooks user to guide me through a new file
Is QB Time Tracking accepted by the IRS?
I am writing to request a detail of filing a W-2 C and W-3 C for the year 2023 and also I didn't run my payroll on QuickBooks any product the payroll run on a payroll service provide (ADP) so can I able to buy specific subscription of QuickBooks to just file W-2 C and W-3 C for the year 2023?
Why is the customer service so bad? I have been trying for two days to get a person on the phone becauseMY CREDIT CARD ACCOUNTS FOR THE PAST YEAR ARE MISSING. Today, I have been on hold for 40 minutes to check my ID. THURSDAY IT WAS 2 HOURS My DATA is missing, and I cannot get anyone with any expertise. RECORD YOU CALLS !!
We have the customer/job as required in our QuickBooks Time setup but have decided that it should not be required. How do we turn it off?
My client is being told that the only way to get QB Time Elite to sync with QB Enterprise is for them to upgrade from Gold to Diamond, at nearly triple the subscription. All they want to do is import the timesheets so they can have more accurate job data. They do not use QuickBooks as a payroll service and they only have manual payroll turned on to record after the fact payroll. I have other clients that do not use QB Time but can import other products' timesheets directly into Enterprise without an issue. How is it possible to QB Time Elite or otherwise does not integrate with Enterprise without an upsell?
We were with TSheets prior to Intuit buying them out. For the last couple years, the GPS went from spectacular with TSheets to absolute GARBAGE with Intuit. I cannot tell you how many times I've called or did the chat feature to figure out what is going on. Turns out Intuit decided to mess with TSheets, but didn't tell anyone they screwed it up. Rather they blame: The phone. The tower. The location. The server. The satellite. Absolutely anything and everything except themselves, where the TRUE blame lies. Intuit has made the GPS worthless. Last month I called and asked for a credit since half our employees are not showing, even after: verifying latest app. Device Logs. Uninstall. Reinstall. Verify phone settings. and on and on. I was told we'd see a credit for July. Shocker! No credit. Today 5 of 9 employees are not showing. Called QB Time (again) and was told by this person that they cannot offer credits and gave me a link for a form - but the QB Time is NOT an op
In Quickbooks online and Quickbooks time, I have edited my customers so that they are no longer assigned to all team members. I have chosen a few team members that can still see the customers. However, when I asked my employees to look under customers on the time tracker they are still visible. Am I doing something wrong? We have customers or "clients" that not all employees need to see.
How do I setup The Workforce Time Sheets app to identify holidays, and then map that to QBO Elite Payroll so hours worked on holidays flows into the QBO Payroll "Reg Holiday-Worked" column?
We have four employees that continually have problems clocking in. We fix it and then it happens again. While troubleshooting with one employee today, I looked at their permissions in QuickBooks payroll and they were not invited to Workforce and permission for Time was turned off. Is there a problem with Workforce and QuickBooks Time? We're using QuickBooks Plus.
