I have cheques written in Sage at the end of a fiscal year, the chques have now cleared in the first month of the fiscal year in QB. How do I record this entry?
Original commenter did not share additional details
Most programs used to have pre made charts of accounts, you entered the type of business and could modify to suit you needs. Is that not available in QB online?
When preparing to do my quarterly HST report, I noticed my selector did not include Receiver General. All other tax agencies were listed, just not the HST. Therefore not able to run a sales tax summary or detail for the quarterly HST report period. Receiver General as a vendor, has a box to tick if this is considered a sales tax agency, which it is. It was always there in the past, but someone or something has unticked this box, which is why I no longer can get a report for this tax agency. QB desktop is telling me the only way to correct this is to set up new account codes for GST/HST and then re-tick the box as a sales tax agency. QB does not allow me to select adding as a sales tax agency, and use the old chart of account codes. Has anyone else ever experienced this? I am a long time user, so this is not making any sense.
I need to look up my bank account transactions to see if anything was posted there in error.
The only information available is the year-end financial statements of the company. How do I record the yearly financial statements? Should I use opening balance or through journal entry?
This was a payment sent by etransfer, no idea why or how it went into this account
Both reports are in accrual basis. This is my first year to use the QB hence I enter all the amounts of the previous year's Trial Balance when I first created the company account in QB.
the Accounts receivable account shows the wrong amount as some of those transactions were paid in the tax year and as such the chequing account is showing wrong numbers. When I click on the amount on AR all the transactions in it are greyed out but the total shows 0 there even though on the main screen it is showing a number
I have done every browser troubleshooting suggestion, and this error continues when I change a date in my report.
QBO Tax Module > Exception Report: Across Multiple Client's we are seeing that the Exception Report is not displaying properly? The Exception Report does not match the "Prepare Return" Exception Column numbers and the report will show some items but is missing other, they all show a line that says "Unexpected Internal Error (-30000)". Any ideas to solve this? Is this an QBO Internal Error maybe? Thanks for any thoughts.
what is limit on chart of accounts
I need 100 more lines in chart of accounts
Square prints a great report that shows total sales, and total money received by payment method. I use this to create a single journal entry in QBO, and then allocate the payments according to their clearing accounts. I can not find a similar report in Quickbooks Desktop. Or is there a better way to do this?
I am using quickbooks for my sole proprietorship. I incorporated and need to set up quickbooks for the incorporated company. Any hints how to do this in Quickbooks?
