I have not cleared the transactions thru the bank feed yet so is there an uncomplicated way to clear this up.
How do I add a new filter to the dropdown menu in Reports? I need to filter by Source Name and that is not an option.
After adding time entries for contractors the last pay period, exiting time entries to a different screen, e.g., dashboards or other, then re-entering the time entries screen and selecting a date range for the last pay period, with display by set to contractors or all team members - the contractors do not appear. However, if I put in the date range using Custom then the contractors show up. Shouldn't they always show up. If I put in a date range of this month or last month, contractors do appear.
I just realized that when I make an address change to an invoice in our 2013 QB desktop version, that ALL the invoices for that company change. How do I prevent that from happening so the change stay to that one invoice.
Want to be sure that all transactions are properly documented (with an attachment that represents the supporting source document). Was hoping I can pull a transaction detail report (for any date range) and add a column that shows an attachment was tagged to a particular transactions.
Every time I open an invoice to edit it, the columns revert back to different (random) sizes than what I set them at when I last saved the invoice. For example, the due date column reverts back to very wide (more than needed for a date) and the description column reverts back to very narrow making it difficult to read the contents. This happens EVERY time I reopen a previously saved invoice and I have to readjust ALL of the columns AGAIN so I can see the contents the way they should appear. I have 'Custom Invoice' checked in Customize, but the editing version of the invoice doesn't keep the column sizes I set or the way they are in the Custom Invoice template. The editing version even shows a Service Date column which is not on my template or needed for our invoices. How do I get the columns to stay at the size I put them at when creating and saving the invoice?
I am a former CPA and I understand accrual accounting, but I can't figure out why Quickbooks is counting my deferred revenue as sales. I am using a retainer model where the "item" on the invoice is linked to a liability account (and is appropriately flowing to the balance sheet as deferred revenue). However when I run any variation of the sales reports, the deferred revenue keeps showing up. How can I get these sales reports to exclude the deferred revenue?
I can not get the new update to invoices. When I click on "UPDATE LAYOUT" it goes to the new layout for a few seconds and then goes back to the old layout.
I am trying to run a report showing where we are financially on specific jobs. I've run the Job Estimates Vs Actuals Detail which is basically all we're looking to see, however, I want it to include the committed costs. I ran the Unbilled Costs by Job report as well, but noticed that some of those unbilled costs are actually already accounted for in the Actuals report.Why would some of the unbilled be captured in that report, but others not? I need something to show the overview of the job, but very simply. Any ideas?

So pretty simple but for some reason Im hearing so many different ways to do this.. I had a bill created for insurance expense.. I paid the insurance expense and in Quickbooks logged the bill and payment.. Then vendor sent back the payment as the policy was complete and didnt owe any more money.. How should this be handled the majorityof the time knowing I have a BILL, PAID BILL, And money deposited back into my account?Thanks

I am trying to email a report from QB’s and after inputting the email password, I am getting the following: Incorrect credentials or Gmail settings. I have done all of the verifications but I continue to get this message. Our email is through AT&T Yahoo, so I am not sure why the error is mentioning gmail. Also, I am using QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2019 on a desktop with a computer tower, running Windows 10, not on a cell phone or a tablet. When I was last here, this was not happening, so it is something that had to take place during the last month.
Hi, I am trying to export to Excel a report which contains a summerry of all the invoices issued, with the full contents of the descriptions. ( "memo" field ),When I try this it just shows the product description for the products in the memo field, but other details in the memo are not shown.I am on QB Premier 2021 DesktopRegards
I cannot do anything when the app does this and am forced to close the app. Are there any solutions to combat this bug?
