Hi, I'm using classes to track funds for a charity this is year 2. I have added the balances brought forward from the prior year by journal. I debited Retained Earnings following the initial set up. This has caused retained earnings to show as zero and increased the surplus for the year. Is there a way to correct this?Thank you

Hi,I am trying to get rid of some duplicate credit notes for the previous financial year.What is the best way to do is withoout deleting them as the accounts have already been closed for that period ,and also i don't want to raise any bogus invoices for this year to off-set them as this will increase sales.Thank you.
At the end of every month for the best part of the year I’ve been sending my invoices to my clients as usual, and although they’re all marked as delivered, I’m having up to 10 clients (so far) not getting the email and I’m having to resend it manually when they tell me it’s not arrived. It’s never the same people, I’ve never had an issue with people not paying, it’s nothing like that, as I’ve even sent dummy invoices to myself and half the time they don’t come through. I’ve been using QB self employed for over a year now but half the time I’m having to have the embarrassing moment of asking clients if they’ve received their bills from me/QB. Anyone know what this issue is and how to resolve it? Or alternatively have a contact number for QB for me to ask someone there? The QB assistant that’s AI doesn’t help, I’ve tried several times to explain and it doesn’t understand the problem. Thanks
Logged in and invoices are gone
I have a credit card under banking tab. It is showing a payment received from my bank account. But the bank accont doesnt show the payment so i cant match it. Ive checked all excluded and catorgorised payments and its not there. I have checked my banking app, and the payment has gone out of the account. But its not showing on the banking tab for the bank account. Only showing in the credit card tab as received.
I can identify it in a P & L report but not within categorised Banking items.
I noticed an error on a CIS Invoice immediately after emailing it. No payment was made and the customer requested a Credit Note and the issue of a new CIS invoice. I created the credit note but it does not show ‘Less CIS Tax’ in line with the original invoice, so the credit note is more than the original invoice. How can this difference (CIS tax) be accounted for, I need to send an end of month Statement but that is also obviously showing the difference in figures. I’d have thought the Credit Memo would match the invoice?Karen
e.g. I posted a purchase invoice on 30 August with an invoice date of 31 May. The posting date was automatically set to 31 May so the cost hit the May accounts which is an issue as May has been closed. Another issue is that the cost isn't being picked up in the current VAT quarter June - August as it is has been posted in May. I don't want to manipulate the bill date to work around this. Can anyone help? Is there a setting to separate the posting date from the bill date? Thank you.

Payments being marked on invoices before there even sent
Hi, Earlier today I got a message via the QBSE mobile app that I needed to re-authorise the connection to my bank account. I did this, and momentarily there were two bank accounts listed on my connected accounts page – the same account was on there twice. It soon returned to just showing the account up once, but then I got a message saying I had more than 100 transactions to review. Upon checking these out I realised that they were all from the 2021/22 tax year and had already been imported into my QBSE account and categorised. I marked them all as Excluded as I couldn't see any other option. So I now have more than 100 transactions appearing twice on my 2021/22 list, which isn't helpful at all. How can I either hide or, ideally, delete these duplicates altogether? I didn't do anything to make them show up, they shouldn't have been imported on account re-authorisation, yet now they are in my QBSE list and getting in the way. Thanks.
We are a consultancy business that operates two sets of products; (i) hourly-rate advisory, (ii) a contingency-based fee with a fixed percentage of tax reclaims. We use QBO Advanced. ExampleWe reclaim £10,000.00 in overpaid tax and keep 10% as a fee.Therefore, we invoice the client for £1,000.00 QuestionIs there a correct way to structure the Estimate/Invoice for the contingency-based fee products? I am struggling with the imagination on how to make this work and the future permutations for this (for example, the Estimate is at 10,000.00 but we only get 8000.00 back in reclaims. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I get emails telling me that a bill has been issued, suggests clicking on the radio button in the email but nothing happens.
