When I try and pull-up my bank feeds center on Quickbooks desktop, all I get is a big ⚫️ dot. I’ve restarted desktop and restarted my computer. Any ideas?
Looks like there was a function added recently that predicts and categorizes transactions once confirmed. Is there a way to turn this off?
Our company has thousands of credit card banking transactions every month and rules help to automatically add those transactions to the right vendors. I have hit 2000 rules and it now states that "Something’s not quite right You have reached the maximum limit for creating rules. Please delete some unused rules, to add a new rule." Is there really a limit on the number of rules you can create?....how can I resolve this? Manually adding transactions in our account would be very time consuming.
Quickbooks only allows me to download the connect app once
Hi!The previous credit card reconciliations were undone for 2023 and 2022 by the bookkeeper before me(no idea why). I have since reconciled to date. The problem is that there are now outstanding bills for the credit card, but they were already paid with the bank account, reconciled and cleared. I would like to clean this up properly and not just delete the bills. I would appreciate any suggestions! Thank you! Adrian
I reconcile my bank accounts each month in Quickbooks. For some reason, on the Accountant Center screen, the "current balance" shown for my main checking account is incorrect (in the reconciliation section). Do you know why? How can I change it to be correct?
A client filed a chargeback before I could review it and refund the client. The client had asked for a credit and that was immediately given. Then they proceeded with a chargeback to their bank before they provided me with the documentation to support that the item was damaged when it arrived. The chargeback has gone through the day that I received the photos of the damage and the chargeback is for more than the product in question since multiple items are on the same invoice. There were two chargebacks done and 2 fees associated with it and I never had a chance to resolve the issue. I had no problem giving them a refund, but they had asked for a credit and said they could select another product. Then after telling them they had the credit, which was issued the day they told me about the damage, they said they meant refund. At that point, the chargeback was already in process and we didn't have a chance to even offer a refund. Now I have a chargeback, 2 chargeback fees and a chargeback
Hello can someone assist. I am in the process of reconciling my bank accounts and tried to match the payment against a foregn currency bill. My problem is those "unpaid foreign bill" are not appearing on the list of Open invoices that is why I am unable to match against bank payment. Can someone assist?
I periodically have long periods where I can’t force Citi cards to update and get vague errors like “ We are having temporary problems accessing your account. Please wait a few hours and try again.” There is no way on mobile Safari or the mobile app to re-authenticate or refresh the connection. Nothing is wrong with the Citibank website. Currently it’s been 9 days in Dec 2022 since the cards have properly updated in QBSE and five days in Mint (for the same credit cards). mint also gives a vague error “data can’t refresh right now.”
I am the 4th manager of our QuickBooks, we have 3 sub-accounts below our main operating account. As long as I have been here, the sub-account balance total is always higher than the main operating account balance (Main Ops account balance is $31,589.55 with Sub-Account balances totaling $33,677.45. I cannot figure out a way to find this error and move it to the correct sub-account. However, I cannot figure out a way to locate the entry or entries that is causing this balance discrepancy. Thank you in advance.
For years now Quickbooks Online has successfully matched imported banking deposit transactions to existing Received Payment transactions. Often it will match them automatically or, if not, I have been able to match them manually. (Once I learned that I Quickbooks required me to change my workflow -- to process payments before importing banking records -- I've had no problem with it.) It is no longer working. I have two deposit transactions for the same client/project. I processed the two payments on the two invoices and have Received Payment transactions. Quickbooks did not automatically match them. When I try to manually match them, Quickbooks forces a search for the wrong client/project. (For some unknown reason, it is searching for the right client, but it is not searching for any project.) Of course, searching only for the client without a project, it cannot find the existing payment transactions. There is no way I can see for me to change the search that Quickb
I have two checking accounts. When I click on Banking and either of the accounts, the "For Review" items belong to the account I clicked. However, when I click on "Go to Register", I get the register for the other account. I don't know how to fix the flip.
I have a client who discovered some fraudulent charges with their bank account. The end result was that they closed the main checking account. Prior to getting online access to their account business had to continue so I created an additional bank account in the chart of accounts. They paid bills, did all the normal business stuff. The bank took a couple of weeks to get access setup and when I went in to link the new account the only option it gave me was to add another account. I needed the system bank feed to work so I had to follow suit. Now that it is done I went in and see that they system created entries for the beginning balance and the account is now off by over $150k. I contacted support and wasted almost an hour with someone who had no clue what to do. I need to know how to fix this mess that was made by someone who actually understands what they are doing

How does the credit card reconciliation process work within QB desktop? Currently, we accumulate receipts in a folder for the month by the employee and reconcile each line item against the AmEx credit card statement after the month closes. Then import each of those line items into QB all under "American Express" as a Vendor and pay via ACH. It's a very time-consuming and manual process. I'm wondering if it would be more efficient to utilize the credit card functions within QB to record each transaction as we go. Any advice here or demo/examples would be much appreciated.
I would like an explanation of when to use the following five entries: Write CheckUse RegisterMake DepositTransfer FundsJournal EntryIn some cases, all five of those functions can work in showing the same result. If anyone can clarify when to use one over another, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
