Only the actual deposit shows as "cleared." It does not show up twice in my bank's register. If I delete the transaction listed as a payment (not cleared), it deletes both transactions.
I have a batch of customer payments from a few months ago that were already recorded, but I have duplicated of those payments under the 'pending for deposit' tab in the merchant service deposit. I tried deleting the first ones that were recorded but those instead also just showed up again in the pending tab. How can I get rid of these?
We have had automatic bill payments returned for NSF because we didn't have the money in our account to cover them. The bank information in the Banking tab shows the money being taken from our account, then there is a NSF charge, and then a deposit of the amount of the bill payment. How do I account for these transactions within QBO? Usually when I see the automatic bill payment, I add it either manually or with a rule, depending on the bill/vendor. I know what to do about the NSF bank fee, just not how to deal with the expense and the deposit. Thanks.
For example: I go to Lowe's regularly in a month. Each purchase is a different date.
Hey,I wrote a check for a vendor. The vendor did not receive it. I stopped the payment for te check, voided it in Quickbooks, and wrote a new check. For the voided check in Quickbooks, do I have to Debit bank and Credit the expense account originally used to put the money back? Thanks
Was helping a friend who hadn’t reconciled in almost a year. Quickbooks added an equity adjustment balance after trying to reconcile but I deleted it. Now it’s showing a major negative balance and I can’t fix it. Everything else is fine just this equity balance, was advised several options but it still not working. Help!!
our is a small business having few transactions each month. we can not afford a bookkeeper. I know personally all the transactions each month. I have a POS Point of Sale software for recording sales and payments. We use QuickBooks only for the purpose of preparing profit and loss accounts and filing HST. Can we add transactions in QuickBooks when we download them from bank instead of entering transactions through invoices and bills? if yes, what would be the disadvantages of applying this method?
I am unable to update my Nedbank account. Anyone else with the same problem?
why can i only see the first 4 months and the last two months of my checking
Client and I are both using the 2023 Desktop version. They sent me an accountants copy to make changes. However, when I go to Banking> Bank Feeds, the Bank Feed Center is grayed out. QuickBooks support got disconnected but they mentioned needing to change a setting or preference on my (Accountant version) side so I can get into Bank Feeds. Anyone came across this in Accountants copies?
I am working on year end for taxes and discovered that I entered incorrect check numbers on a couple of vendors. Can I go into the bank register and edit and enter the correct check numbers?
A large number of payments were deposited in the correct bank, however entered in the wrong (closed) bank account. I edited each payment and changed to the correct bank, however each is showing now as a payment rather than a deposit. I'm lost.
We are selling the business and don't know where to put the proceeds...the business account and then close that account or our personal? Thanks!
My bank was bought by another and I'm having problems 'capping' the previous account and opening the new account. The last reconcilation of the old acct was done on Jan 31, 2023. I no longer have access to the online February transactions. I created a new account for the Feb transactions but now my Stmt of Financial position still shows the Previous bank balances...any guidance on how to handle this matter?
Every time my bank account can not connect to online banking, my accountant is getting emails about "Urgent: Transaction info has stopped flowing into Quickbooks.Reconnect today." How do I change settings so they don't get them?
