When I Print a Check to a Certain person it keeps printing my name in the "Pay to the Order of" spot on the checks instead of the person i am trying to pay. It lists the persons name and address beneath the money line but not in the Pay to the Order of spot. I can't find a fix for this. Any help?
How do I add an expense along the lines of 'cables' or just an item purchased related to my business?

I added another company to my account. I tried linking the bank to it and it's giving me the message "You're already sharing data from these accounts". I went through all my other companies and this one has never been linked to another company how do I figure out how to cure that error so that I can link it to this company
Was working away getting caught up on my bookkeeping. Getting things reconciled. No issues yesterday or for an hour today. Suddenly when I try to go to bank/reconciliation, either the initial screen is greyed out & won't let me update the ending balance or if I can hit continue it crashes. WTF? I'm about ready to move to quicken. And every time I try to post a question here, if I have to make corrections for highlighted items, it won't let me post for awhile cause it say I'm "flooding" sigh.
We set up our business about 6 months ago. We linked a subordinate credit card as the main card for the primary sales and installation person. The main card is assigned to another person who is going to start selling and installing. When I set up that main parent card it pulls in all of the transactions that have occurred to date. We want to be able to track activity by card and in total. How should I reconcile this and set it up so its useable going forward? Do I unlink the original card from the bank account? How do I account for the over 200 transactions that have been reconciled on the subordinate card? Thanks in advance

I have recently started with QB online and successfully connected all my accounts but capital one credit card. It seems it's history is limited to 90 days (I suspect it's the limitation of the interface, as I can see all history in capital one app)How do I import the rest?Thanks
Is anyone else having a problem choosing a Category while splitting a transaction? I am only able to choose one category per split transaction. I'm wondering if there is an error within QBs. Any info would be helpful? Thanks!

There was an error made with this bill & should not be part of this business account & I need to remove / delete it, but keep my previous reconciliation correct. Thoughts?
Here are some basics. I upload my bank feed from my bank. I do not create invoices from QuickBooks. Our office just got QuickBooks in January and this is the first time I have been in charge of the company's banking/accounting. We just use QuickBooks for balancing a checkbook, basically. There are several deposits, some ACH, some were checks I deposited at the bank. On the check register page, the "From Account" is populating with UNDEPOSITED FUNDS. It will not let me change the account to the correct account and gives me the message "You cannot edit payment information in a deposit transaction. 1. Delete the payment from the deposit 2. Go to the original payment transaction to edit 3. Redeposit the payment." I am a novice at quickbooks....I have never used accounting software before. This makes no sense to me. I can't QB to link to my Zions Bank checking account. Has anyone else encountered this?
Something happened in my settings where the transactions are normally automatically matched with invoices, they are now unmatched, without "record found" suggestion, showing multiple transactions using same customer name. When I figured out which customer each transaction was for, I have noticed the bank account QuickBooks is "depositing" into is QuickBooks checking account. I don't use that account. When I manually change the bank account into my actual bank account, then the transaction matches again. How can I fix it to make it automatically deposit into my checking account instead of QuickBooks checking?
Recently my bank was bought by another bank. Had no trouble downloading from the bank to QB for Mac desktop until the change. Although other accounts show up in the account association, the one I need does not & it wants me to setup a new bank account. Don't want to do that as I have history for years in the previous account. yes, online access is set on for the account in question.

Seems this whole Express Web Connect thing is busted for Chase. Doesn't seem to be a fix out there as apparently updates folks have made don't work either. Lots of old posts on how to refresh for this exact service which is what we were all told to move to. Now it's broken with no apparent fix. Going to blame Chase now or what? Any resolution forthcoming? So what's the deal?
I have several credit cards that have not updated since 12-19-22 and today is 12-23-22.I have updated and have tried incognito and yes, I know how to manually upload transactions. Fact is the accounts are not updating and even if I can manually upload, it does not change the Bank Balance.I need the links to work.
