Running QuickBooks 2019 desktop on macOS Big Sur (beta 1 and 2) and not able to see the "Download" buttons on the Banking->Downloaded Transactions... screen. Is there a keyboard shortcut I can use to initiate the download for all accounts that are setup for downloads? Any other suggestions/workaround?

Company A's credit card was paid from Company B's checking account. What's the best way to record this? I have created a Due to/from in both QBD Mac files.
I've just joined QBO and have multiple bank accounts. I've attached them all and downloaded transactions going back to the 1st of the year. When I look at TRANSACTIONS / BANKING and select the Paypal bank I see all the transactions but the DESCRIPTION field for more than 80% of them is blank. The remaining 20% are normal and say Uber or Airbnb or Google. And when I click the gear and add Payee or Show Detail I get Paypal for all of them and the detail is always a long transaction ID like: Transaction ID: 3YS86149WH5095338https://www.paypal.com/activity/payment/3YB8614FFS5095338 I have to literally click every one of these transactions to be taken to Paypal to see it says something like: Seller: KEY FOOD GROCERY STORE etc. This should be in the description fields so I can make rules and easily identify the purchase but this is nowhere to be found in these 80% of the transactions. Did I import them improperly in the initial bank setup of QBO? Should I be seeing these sell
I had previously used Autoentry to capture receipts for syncing with Quickbooks, but was happy to learn of the new Receipt Capture tools in QBO. I switched over to using that tool, and am now going through and verifying/entering receipts as expenses. However, there seem to be a few limitations - am I missing something? First, I see no way to split transactions into multiple expense categories. I have several vendors that sell a range of products that do not all fall in the same category. This is easy to do when entering regular expense, but it doesn't seem possible in the Receipt tool. Second, while it does a good job of capturing the amount and date of the receipt, I'm surprised it doesn't capture the Vendor, and learn accounts for those vendors. I have to manually select a vendor. category, and bank account for each receipt, which is something Autoentry does automatically. Third, after saving the receipt details, it searches for potential matches, but never finds any,
In the past when I've spent all these hours fixing things, the next day it was messed up again. I really need to be able to reconcile from the point the account got messed up. Today I spent time in the register and it looks close to perfect. I'm afraid to go to sleep and see 8 hours of work undone.
For some reason, every bank deposit shows as a payment AND as a deposit as a separate line item in the ledger.
for a company that is connecting sellers to buyers, and taking a commission for every sale, like etsy, how do you separate the incoming balance? what is the journal entry, etc, Sales Receipt:$50 Product$2.25 Tax$10.00 Tip Breakdown:10% subtotal (minus tax/tip) goes to our company: $5$2.25 collect/remit tax$55 held for seller until they withdraw from their account
I am trying to go back to reconcile a significant period of bank statements and have numerous transactions that have not/will not match. Examples (ACH that automatically creates an expense item, but the expense was added as an upcoming expense when the bill was received - so my statement shows 2 expenses that are duplicates. Checks issued that match to deposit transfers but aren't matched for some reason leaving 2 payments on the register). Is there a way to "match" a manually entered transaction to a downloaded transaction if there is no "match" link to click? How do I link 2 transactions so they are only in the register once without deleting validly entered transactions?
I just updated a client from QB Accountant Desktop 2018 to 2021. I downloaded the monthly bank activity from the bank into a folder, then I go back and do the work. Well now the rules list is gone and to add a new vendor from the unrecognized list doesn't instantly add a new rule list. What used to take 15 minutes now looks to take hours. Why can't Intuit leave things alone??? They shut off bank feeds in 2018 and now change everything and just creating way more work for me. I am beyond ticked off...
Does anyone see a problem or know if there will be anything that is presented wrong if I wait to finalize each month’s bank reconciliations until year end? I have coded & added everything to the register (and balanced each month through current date to match the monthly bank balance). I just don’t want to have to go to the trouble of undoing recons if I find later that something was coded incorrectly or a payment wasn’t applied appropriately. Will any aspect of reporting be ill-affected by this? Thanks for any information.
Hello, QB Desktop Pro 2021 We have never used bank feeds in the past and have never set them up (we are not interested in using this feature). The problem is when I switch to Single User mode QB says I cannot switch because someone just began using bank feeds. Then QB freezes and I have kill the process in task manager and relaunch QB. I checked all of our accounts, none of the bank feeds are set up so of course there is no bank feed tab that is mentioned in other posts. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Under my banking page no transactions appear for review. I have tried everything to correct this with no luck. This has been an issue for a week. I do not know where to find the answers I need
Hi, I know there is an addon for square, but I want to know how I can propertly record an square transaction with an invoice. Let says the invoice is 200$ and square takes 2% for processing fee. In total I get 196$ in my bank account. How I can resolve the gap? How I can say the 4$ is a square expense. Thank you
