I have reconciled my USD bank account to nil as per the statement but when I run a transaction report, QB shows that there is a balance. Yet if I go to run the next reconciliation, the brought forward is nil. What is wrong and how can I fix this please? Thanks.
When we receive invoice payments online, the transaction shows up under our Quickbooks Checking account for review and categorization. However, when we go to the bank register, the deposit is added to a different bank account (our primary offline bank account), even though the deposit transaction shows as coming from Quickbooks Payments. We actually have to open each deposit and change the account to Quickbooks Checking, otherwise both balances are wrong.
If credit card payments are made from business account, but includes personal transactions, is it better to create journal entries to add expense and credit equity for business purchases or debit petty cash and credit the business checking for the card payment then credit petty cash and debit expense? Whatever is left in petty cash I can do a withdrawal or deposit to clear it. I want to leave a good audit trail of the transactions.

How do I void a check from a customer when it gets returned by the bank?
My wife and I have separate bank accounts. She occasionally Zelles me money. How should I account for these personal transfers in Quickbooks? Are they condsidered income?
Hi All, I'm hoping to get some help with my current bank feed issues. I recently purchased the Quickbooks Desktop 2024 Mac Edition after being told that my 2021 version will no longer work properly after May 2024. After the purchase I proceeded to install and upgrade all of my files to the 2024 version. Initially after I upgraded the files, the download bank feed feature worked just fine, but it stopped working when I swapped to a different account to try to download the feed. Now nothing will download and the message I'm getting is "There were problems with the account(s) at your financial institution." I spoke to my bank (Chase Bank) and they found no issues on their end. Additionally I reopened my 2021 file and tried to do the download and it WORKED. So it seems like the issue is with he 2024 version. I have also tried to disconnect the accounts from the bank feed and reapplying the connection, but it wont reconnect. When I try to reapply the connection, it just
I have scheduled for a bill payment through online QB and I states that in can cancel the payment up to a pacific date. It doesn't give the options to edit, so does that mean if I need to make any adjustments I have to cancel this payment and re-enter it in or is there an edit option?
I have downloaded Amex credit card transactions that I want to add into QuickBooks. Can I get the "Downloaded As" payee name to appear in the memo section that is visible in the credit card register? What appears now is the Bank Memo, which is the same for every transaction. I have over 150 transactions each month and I need to know what the transaction is when I look at the register. I am using QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus 2024.
Talked to Joy and Maura Thursday and Friday who said they would get fraud to straighten out. Beyond frustrating.
As of 7.19 my Home Depot is no longer updating and now completely disconnected.I am unable to reconnect. It doesn't give an error code.....
I have a client whose bank activity hasn’t been reconciled since 2019. I want to get the client caught up for 2023-2024. The ending balance doesn’t match the bank statement as of 12/31/22. Should I make a journal entry to the checking account and offset it against retained earnings as of 1/1/23 to match the bank balance in order to start reconciling 2023?
When I reconcile each check has an offset deposit.
I manually enter all transactions for all accounts. Bank and credit cards will never be connected directly to QBO.?
wasnt logging in to quick books for since april
I keep getting an error when trying to import trips from Google. I follow all of the directions given and nothing. I have seen some responses to other posts with some troubleshooting, like using incognito mode in Chrome, and still nothing. I am not going to go through over 4 months of trips to manually enter them one at a time, need help. Thanks.
I just had the weirdest thing happen. I was reconciling my check book and had 6 missing checks in Quick Books. I know they were there at one time, because the images were on my online banking app. HOW could this have happened? It's not easy to delete a check. My system is password protected and never is there access for anyone else to be on my computer.
After importing my data from my desktop program to my new online program, my beginning bank balance on my new statement does not match the one in the online program and there is no data at all in the Recon history report to edit. How do I fix this?
I've tried for 4 days now and keeps doing it.
I enter the Credit Card Charges DAILY. When the statement arrives it has an amount and due date. I would like to create a bill to reflect this. How do I go about creating the bill to show up in payables, without "double entering"?
I am trying to catch up prior years bank feed activity. Would I be able to see cleared check images in quickbooks instead of the bank since they don’t keep the images online for too long?
Hi all, What is the correct way to handle a reconciliation with an expense that is withdrawn by the bank on two different dates. My payroll register was entered on June 30th for a total of $59,303.00. However, the payroll company withdrew partial funds on 6/30 and the remaining on 7/1 which is causing reconciliation issues. Is there a correct way to handle this?
