Employees and payroll

I have an employee who chooses their healthcare plan (outside of our company). We reimburse him for the total for the year, divided out by our 26 pay periods. I had set this up as a "contribution." It DID show on his pay check stub as a contribution but it did NOT show up in his gross/net pay. Did I set it up incorrectly?

Been using QBO for this company for 12 years, never had this issue.
I do not want her to have access to accounting or bookkeeping.
It's now January 12th and the new Alabama Overtime Exemption is still not working. I have run the Payroll Update again this morning for probably the 15th time - nothing. I have spoken with a dozen folks, via chat and phone over the last 2 weeks. How is this okay QuickBooks????? How is it okay that you train your "Customer Service" representatives to give the users canned answers that not only do not help, but in pretty much every case cost us valuable wasted time, usually HOURS, trailing down rabbit holes because the person actually has no idea what they are trying to fix. I've had TWO people (out of a dozen) at QuickBooks that even knew what I was talking about! Quickbooks, when are you going to resolve this issue??? Or when are you even going to communicate to the Alabama users exactly what is going on with this issue??? When are we going to be able to run payroll properly??? How are you okay with leaving paying customer

My payroll liabilities tab shows an orange exclamation point. When I click on the tab, no liabilties show up. Why do I have the orange exclamation point?
400 Bad Request: "{"data":null,"errors":[{"code":"0","type":"NoSuchElementException","field":null,"message":"No value present","detail":null}]}"
Every year I submit yearly form 940. The form populates and I electronically submit it.Now I show many 'errors' on it. (Part 2 populates as 9,999,999.99) Is it true that quickbooks does not have the capability to process this form if your payroll is over 10 million? What reports can be run to complete this form?
outgoing payroll went up for January 2024 by around $2,000 but federal outgoing payroll taxes in quickbooks went up over $4,000.00. How do I figure out why ?
Hi! I've been at my current position for a little over 2 months. One of my duties is to go through the bank feed daily and try to match up deposits and checks. I've having an issue with payroll and the bank feed. When the payroll direct deposits come through a couple of weeks ago, there were no matches for the employees. Instead of a name, the suggestion was "Payroll Expense". My co-worker, who actually runs payroll, had not noticed it and told me she had never had that problem before. When we dug a little deeper, she noticed the bank account name looked a little strange. We pulled up the chart of accounts and a new bank account had been created in which all the payroll checks and direct deposits had gone into. This makes the third week this has happened. I merged the accounts, thinking they would stay merged, but every week when she runs payroll, this new account shows up again. We have "Bank of Green 9742" in the chart of accounts as our operating account, which payroll is drafted fr
I have been told that it's possible, but I have spent countless hours on the phone with extremely poor QB customer service. Exaktime imports the hours and matches the employees with no issue. Exactime told me that I should be able to add the job on QB's program and it would link and download from QB online payroll to Exaktimes program. No one at QB can tell me where to add the jobs in On line Payroll. We had core and I upgraded to Elite, because the first tech guy said I needed that program, but I still can't get an answer for where do I enter the job data? I would also like to know if this job data when exported to desktop Mac 2024 will carry over?
