Is it possible to export all the payroll data out of QB desktop for 1/1/22 through today? I need to import into a new QB desktop file created.
Currently, the default option for pay period seems to be the future month. For example - the default pay date is 02/28/2021 for the pay period 03/01/2021-03/31/2021. I would like to may it pay date 02/28/2021 for pay period 02/01/2021-02/28/2021. Thank you,
We are accrual based, so I entered a Payroll Accrual JE into QBO as instructed; and reversed it on the first day of the next month. Problem is, the Accrual is now sitting in Pay Bills. How can I clear it?
Hi,Our employees submit expenses via the expense claim hub. Once they are reviewed, expenses are created for each of the receipts. We do not have QBO payroll and employees are paid via EFT via our banking website for the total amount of their expense claims. What is the easiest way to record this transaction and match it with the appropriate EFT batch payment? Thank you.

Our payroll taxes have not been paid since we switched to Quickbooks. The money is drafted from our account but it is not posted on the state's page.
I went to the payroll list drop down and then I hit edit and changed the hours by adding 8 more hours to the one employee that I made a mistake and did not add memorial day. however I already had submitted the payroll, it only allowed me to save the change. How does it get sent, just by saving?
Check number 6529 pays for 748.46, but posts in QB for 1339.07. The difference gets posted to Direct Deposit payable. It is some sort of glitch.
Can anyone tell us what this error message means? We get it when we attempt to submit payroll. We have narrowed it down to a direct deposit account for one employee's HSA account. If we remove that deposit, the submission works. We have tried to remove and reenter the employee's account with no luck.

How do I get back to the payroll reports option that is at the bottom of the screen after I click the button to process payroll. It's a spreadsheet with 5 tabs that has all the necessary information for a single payroll.
I noticed when I was doing payroll that the holiday pay I had given had subtracted from all of my employees' vacation hours accrued. How do I fix that?
Many times when a holiday falls on a Monday if the prior Friday is slow we like to treat the employees with early release. We still want them to accrue PTO during this time but would really like to be able to have them do a separate entry for this. Is there a code I can set up for PTO and call it early release? We use Quickbooks Online Payroll. If I try to create the code within Quickbooks time it states it won't sync with Quickbooks payroll?
Quickbooks OnlineI have two active Bank accounts - CHASE (linked with QB) and HSBC (not linked)In February 2022 I started paying payroll out of the CHASE account. (HSBC account was deleted from Payroll Bank settings) Funds for paychecks and taxes have been correctly paid out of CHASE account ever since. However the Accounting section was not corrected until late March. So payroll and taxes were mapped to the HSBC account putting the balance off on paper. Additionally, it resulted in double payments in the Liability registers for Direct Deposit, Federal Taxes, NYS Taxes. THIS ISSUE HAS MAJOR IMPLICATIONS FOR EMPLOYEE TAXES. @books11249 DEVELOPMENT TEAM / @COMMUNITY what is the solution to correct the mapping of past payments to correctly reflect which account they were deducted from? No funds were deducted from the actual HSBC account so a Journal entry or Transfer solution will not correct the issue. Thank you for your help! .shannon
I have a client using Quickbooks Online payroll and their employee health insurance deductions are defaulting into a payroll liability account. I've gone to Payroll Settings / Accounting and tried to remap the health insurance deduction to go directly to the client's Health Insurance Expense account so that he does not have to create a monthly AJE moving the accumulated liability to reduce the related expense account. However, deductions and contributions is not option to correct under the Accounting tab. I'm able to edit Wage Expenses, Taxes, etc and then Other Liabilities and Assets. If I try to edit the Medical Insurance payroll item under other liabilities and assets, the only other options from the chart of accounts, are intuitively, other liability accounts and assets. If instead I go through the employee's payroll directly and try setting up a new payroll item / deduction, it only allows me to select from a list of predetermined payroll items that Q
In QuickBooks Desktop, one employee cannot access Workforce anymore. When trying to open Workforce, gets a message: "Looks like you don't have Workforce". How do I fix this issue?
I am in the process of setting up QB payroll (desktop). I have employees with both Live and Direct Deposit checks. We currently process all our direct deposits electronically through our bank. So I need to be able to print check stubs for all the direct deposit employees and show these as Direct Deposit / Non Negotiable. According to QB support, I can't do that?
I certainly wished I had read this thread before renewing my service for another year. This past week has been a nightmare. One of my vendors contacted me to inform me their bank account had been compromised and they wanted me to change their direct deposit account. Since it was early in the day I had time to cancel the transaction before the deadline and to reprocess it with the correct account. I contacted customer service and was supposedly walk through the process. To my surprise the vendor was paid twice on pay day and after 6 hours I have asked the vendor to rewire the funds to my account at a cost of $45 plus the wasted time on the phone. I will be contacting the bank where the transaction was processed to hopefully exert some pressure on QB when their instructions result in additional fees such as the ones I was subject to. QB used to provide excellent service by knowledgeable agents but those days appear to be gone. If anyone can recome a reputable replacement service pl
