Are there any fields I need to fill in to ensure I'm paying correctly using tip credit and not just paying under minimum wage?
Starting this morning, every 941 payment that was submitted via QB Desktop has not been received by EFTPS. I have not received an email acknowledgment, nor does anything show up on the EFTPS website. The payment was submitted, but literally nothing after that. Please advise...
Hi. Quickbooks has our direct deposit limit real low because we are a new company. So I am going to be doing direct deposits through our bank. Just wondering how I run payroll in Quickbooks and get their net check amounts without printing checks....and also having the payroll finalized? Thanks!
Does Quickbooks Time integrate with any Time tracking apps? It just doesn't seem to have what I need for time tracking. I will need to know at year end how many absences and tardies each employee has for year-end bonuses. I can't see that I can do this with Quickbooks Time. Anyone have any ideas? Kind regards!
This has been happening every year about this time of year. Occasionally I have a payroll liability where I don't owe the amount my QB says I do. I might be off $.01 or $1.00. Regardless of the amount, I didn't owe that much so I did a liability adjustment on the last day of the previous month to get it out of my payroll liabilities due. Just today I have five payroll liabilities back. Three from November 2021 and two from December 2021. Again, these are amounts that I did not owe for Long-term, Short-term or Life Insurance premiums that are company paid. In the past I have just done another liability adjustment to get rid of them but my accountant doesn't like that because it affects the books from the previous year. In this case, I plan to do another liability adjustment on (i.e., November 30, 2021, for $.40) to get rid of a short-term liability it says is due but actually wasn't ever owed and was already adjusted back on November 30, 2
Payroll 09/01-09/30 checks run on 09/30 but they show dated as 10/21. How can i change them?
Hello community, I work for a restaurant franchisor, and we have some franchisees who are using QuickBooks. They would like to import their employee time entries from our restaurant back office system into QuickBooks. I know nothing about QuickBooks, but it appears possible based on what I have found elsewhere. We need the specific file layout requirements in order to implement this for them. It looks like a .csv is acceptable, but can anyone provide me specifics on file layout? Along with that, how are overtime hours to be represented? Can they just be in a separate column on the same line or does QuickBooks require one line for regular time and a separate line for overtime? Any guidance will be appreciated, and a sample file (de-identified) would be wonderful. Thanks,Tom
My liability is currently zero for that period. However, the system still wants me to file a zero report. It is due by 4/15/2022. It continues to show that this filing is INCOMPLETE.
Hi,I have a salaried employee who is asking for an advance on her next paycheck. I'm not sure what's the right way to do it:1/ do i have a way to trigger her next pay, which should be paid out in a week, earlier and QB will let me do it even though she's on auto payroll?2/ do i have the ability to do a cash advance in payroll but then what's the process and does she have to reimburse me through deduction oon the following paycheck? If so, can somene give me the step by step to do it in QB online? To make things harder, she's taking paid vacation days so shouldn't this paycheck reflect the use of the paid vacation days but then will it interact with any advance calculation? Thank you for anyone's help on this....

Hi, I been trying to use the export feature in Quickbooks Payroll so I can import payroll data to Quickbooks Online. I have a separate Quickbooks Payroll and Quickbooks Online account.... Anyone have success exporting payroll data?
Can I pay quick books the $500 set up fee without signing up for the $200 maintenance?
Hello, Scenario: Payroll is running. But instead of the transactions automatically being categorized as payroll, it shows up in the bank view, as items for me to match. If I click Match, those 3 go away, but when I click Add that reduces my overall account but that amount a second time as if its a new expense or something. I have no idea where its even logging it, so now I cannot figure out how to remove the one I clicked add on. Other Details: The amounts match, it appears the Bank Details match, but as you can see Quickbooks is no longer automatching as it doesnt recognize the payroll as payroll payments. This should auto match, but no longer does (starting last month). I do not change things, I use this in the most simple way. Enter receipts and pay people using DD and via Payroll. So I have no idea what is wrong. Appreciate any help so I do not have to do this every month, as I am certain I am not supposed to have too. Thanks :-) P.S.I keep re-add
