migrating my data to Quickbooks Online
The larger discrepancy is due to an overpayment from a previous quarter. Both differences keep me from reconciling my checking account.
I see a Pay Contractors button on the contractor payment screen in QBO Advanced. I'm hoping there is a use for this somewhere in the Intuit works. We pay over 100 contractors every week, and there is a lot of clicking required to pay these people. Thanks!

When the payroll subscription expired in the QB desktop 5/31/2022 in the QB I manage as a volunteer for a local not for profit I migrated the file to QBO. Something happened during the migration and entering payroll totals and now everyone's gross payroll is around 4 times the amount it should be. Since I ran all of the payroll originally in QB desktop there are no paychecks for me to edit or delete in QBO. I have spoken to several representatives who have been unable to help. Every time I speak with a representative, I'm told to submit something different. So far, I've submitted a payroll summary for the first quarter of 2022 for all employees and detailed payroll transaction reports for the payrolls 4/1/2022 - 5/31/2022 for each individual employee all from desktop. I have also submitted 1/1/2022 - 5/31/2022 year-to-date totals for each employee in the spreadsheet QB provided. I'm getting telephone calls from a representative saying he is so confused. He can't read the reports. The r
How do I edit the employer address in Enhanced Payroll
I open case to correct the W2 from more 60 days. However, there is no any update and I am worry about it.Because we are waitting for the new W2 to file the return.I have contacted them by email for many times but no one reply to me, this is very frustrationsI also came to chat and asked them help to to see the progress but they just told to me rest assured, they will reply me within 60 days. However, the reality is it has been more than 60 days, I still don't know if someone handle my case? Why it is so difficult to ask the correction team to reply to me? I just want to know the progress because it is very import to me. How can I make the QB to reply my case?
When I run a yearly Billed/Unbilled Hours by Person report I get mostly Not Billed hours. However, we did bill for these hours. Why is it showing up this way? This makes no sense and really interferes with determinations as to raises, etc.
I've read through "Enter non-taxable third party sick pay" in this support section, however it does not mention anything about how the employer pays for their portion (FICA/Medicare) of the disability payment - will it calculate when I create the paycheck? and then automatically enter onto the 941 when that is created? And the very last step says to print the paycheck - why would I do this when the third party has already paid the employee?I've tried contacting the support people and they are kind of clueless. Any assistance will be appreciated!
Some bank allow 1-2 days posting before payroll date. As long as they have the data. Like Chime. But our employees aren't seeing it early. Is it because QBO gives me until the day before payroll to submit? It doesn't get to the bank until 5pm the day before, I would like to have this sent to the bank earlier for our employees to have this option (If their bank does this, not all do)
pay roll date range is wrong how do I correct it
I have the format needed but have little experience with writing custom reports
Hello. If an employee was paid hourly but should have been paid salary, how can I fix this in quickbooks so that the employee can be paid the difference of what is owed?
I already process payroll but need to process some reimbursement checks. Do I use the create another check tab or process as a bonus only check?
We just got a notice that we were in default on a 941 deposit payment from last quarter (Jan-Mar 2022).This happened in conjunction with errors within QB that caused over 2 hours of phone support to fix where taxes were not taken out of paychecks and the internet passwords needed to be updated. When I double check my 941 quarterly filing, it shows 3 deposits made during the quarter, but it appears that one of the deposits was rejected. How are we supposed to know that a deposit was rejected when we file a quarterly return and the return shows that the deposits have been made?At this point I consider it a flaw in Quickbooks that rejected or failed deposits are not suitability addressed within the user interface. To require that a user be able to descern:"Agency accepted" from"Agency rejected" within a long list of items that takes 30+ seconds to populate and offers NO OTHER INDICATION that there are errors is not acceptable. Where is the red color or fill to let us know to look
So I have my accounting preferences mapped to the desired accounts. I have run payroll. The accounts for tax liabilities all have the appropriate values in them. I do not see anything in the "Payroll Expense:wages" account that I designated. Payroll shows up the bank account registry, but nothing in my "Payroll Expense: wages". Is this because the payment hasn't cleared yet? It makes sense that nothing is in the account for "Payroll Expense:Taxes" as this money has not been sent to the IRS/State (and removed from liabilities) just yet. I am new to payroll accounting. Apologies if this is a basic question I should already know.
Hey All, I have a client that wants to track their best paying locations through the perspective of how much payroll paid out to employees at different locations. There's employees working at different sites so I'm running one Direct Deposit check for each respective site the employees work at. I wanted to use tags to differentiate between locations but I can't put a tag on a Direct Deposit expense transaction for review because then I would be double counting such transaction since the Direct Deposit was issued through QuickBooks Online (QBO) and the chart of accounts automatically reconciles those. Furthermore, if I try to match the "for review" expense transaction to the correct Direct Deposit in QBO, then I can't place a tag on the transaction to track it.Anyone come across this or know a system that would help me track such activity. Much appreciated
