I want to add an exitsing employee to a workplace pension scheme. Pension Scheme details all set up but I dont see how to add the employee or change their status as "not assessed"
Presently we cannot delete a pay schedule and surely a deactivate option can be introduced if deleting is such a major problem? I have a weekly payroll that I no longer use but I'm having to run a blank payroll every week or I can't move correctly into the new pay year in April. This is clearly exhausting and unnecessary. Come on Quickbooks, I know that you consistently make new developments and tweak your program to make it better, so please add pay schedules to your list because I believe this needs to be addressed ASAP!

HiI set my Ltd company up in February and have been completing work for the Ltd Co since then. I have only just got around to sorting out the accounts side as I also run an e-commerce store and since Covid it has been manic! My question is can I backdate my pay to the commencement date of the company and if so how? Thank you
Dear all, whenever I run payroll for salaries below £850, QB online removes the option of making pension contributions. However, I do need to make these and want to run this through Payroll. Why is this option removed for salaries below £850 and why can't I change this? please advise on how to adjust this. I need to make contributions independent of the salary amount. Thank you
HiI currently use Quickbooks payroll but would like to add the funcationality so employees can request leave and then a manager (3 managers of teams of 6) can get the requests and approve themselves. I cant seem to get this to work like I want it too.Also ive downloaded the workzone app and the leave balance doesnt change as you request or take the leave - has anyone else seen this?Thank youLG
We have QuickBooks advanced. We have two employees. One is paid a set amount monthly and the other is paid for whatever hours he’s worked monthly. We have a pension scheme with NEST. We have two groups set up, one is called monthly and one is called hourly so that two separate submissons are made. QuickBooks is only syncing with one of these. I cannot connect the other employee to the other one as they have already been paid in the tax year (this is the error message I get) Does this mean that I can’t connect them to the specific group and the submissions can’t automatically go from QuickBooks to nest?
Hiya Peeps I have paid my son for some ad-hoc work that he has helped me with but now need to have that payment, and expense, in my QBO.This is not Payroll as falls well below the need for that but simply a few hours worked. Where would the expense be best placed in ref. to Chart of Accounts? Many thanks N
Quickbooks Time (AKA T-Sheets) PTO Accrual versus Quickbook Desktop Payroll Accrual Options not the same! When accruing PTO using the "per hour worked" / "Per hour paid" -- NOT THE SAME - BEWARE -- needs fixing by QB We notice a issue where Quickbooks accrued time was not matching T-Sheets (AKA Quickbooks time)What we found is very alarming. Quickbooks will accrue on hours PAID where T-Sheets accrues on hours WORKED. The difference is that T-Sheets is not going to accrue sick or vacation time on sick and vacation hours as these are not hours worked BUT quickbooks will accrue PTO because these are hours paid. QB and T-Sheets needs to each have a 3rd option so that all options are covered under both platforms. Right now the only option covered under both platforms is accruals per pay period 1: Accrue PTO per pay period2: Accrue PTO per hour worked3: Accrue PTO per hour paid. QB - can you please comment on this?
Has anyone used the annual leave accrual on QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll? Having read the QB notes it looks like it may be quite cumbersome and Im concerned it may not be reliable. Has anyone used it and what are your recomendations?
This employee has had one job previously in this tax year. P45 is present and all required details have been entered and saved into QuickBooks payroll. Employee statement selected is: Only job (started after 6th April).

Morning, there is an article on setting up direct payments for monthly staff wages via BACS. The article says "Via BACS, you can make payments electronically from one bank account to another. This way you can pay your employees in no time. Here’s how you can set it up". However there is a query in the community where a Quickbooks staff member states that it isn't possible to pay staff directly by BACS Direct Debit. Please can someone confirm what the situation is? How can change the Payroll date to enter checks on a week by week basis, instead of quarterly and year-to-date. I would prefer to enter them weekly to catch the employees up due to when some employees that started having SIMPLE IRA deducted and Officers that met their social security wages.
