My employee lost a laptop computer and want to charge them for it on payroll.
I was on a chat for over an hour with someone and was talking in circles. The just is they say I can't go back, but they were helping many people and kept asking me my problem and even called me by a different name so they had many problems they were solving at one time, so the trust level is a bit low on what they told me... any help is greatly appreciated. I believe the vacation pay should not increase if employees are paid a salary. They receive the same amount of pay if they take time off.
Hi - I have a comission based employee who has decided to leave the company - his last paycheck was in March and the comission he was paid was later reversed as the customer cancelled - normally we would apply the chargeback to his next paycheck but since this will not happed how do I go about getting the comission money he owes us backI cannot create a negative paycheck -He will also need an ROE and the chargeback will need to be included in that a co=workersuggested we invoice them for the amount owing but then to my knowledge i can't create an invoice that will hit the payrollCan i issue an advance ot loan through payroll to cover the negative amount and then how do I record the funds when they repay?
I just received notice from the CRA that I have paid short on the Source Deductions for 2021 - When I look at the CPP Tax Liability Report it shows example CPP Employee $2558.48 CPP Employer $2047.43 - from the time I migrated from Sage Aug 30 - this issue started Sept 30 2021. It's on going todate.
Why did this happen and how do I contact them
The 2021 T4's are not automatically calculating boxes 58-60, they are showing zero. I am getting a pop up that says 'We've updated QB calculated amounts for Box 57-60 in T4 forms' when I go in to review the T4's.I know last year there was an update for this in Feb2021. Do we need to wait for a fix again this year? I am running Premier Accountant 2022 desktopThanks for any help!
I have a problem where CPP is calculating incorrectly for Part-Time Employees. They are not at times making enough to trigger cpp so at the end of the year their CPP Hours are wrong and so is the amount taken off. It is under funded. Is there a way to trigger an hourly rate CPP calculation?
When entering a new timesheet entry, our default activity was always hours. All of a sudden it is defaulting to sales. How to I change the default back to hours?
Right now we are using a separate program to track how much time we spend on a certain task for each client such as year end preparation, bookkeeping, phone calls/emails, amongst others. We use a number code system (of about 25 different codes) so if you spent 6 hours on year end preparation and 2 hours on correspondence you would use code 1 as 6 hours and code 11 for 2 hours. This is strictly for internal purposes so we can see how much time each task takes and there is no change on how much we will ultimately bill the client as we determine that based on how much total time was spent on the client at the time the invoice is prepared. We do not bill a set amount per task.We would really like to integrate our payroll into QBO but if we need to be able to track the time easily and have our employees be able to enter this on their own. Is there a way to do this?
RRSP and Employer-paid health benefits are paid out of the bank as a lump sum from the bank reconciliation and already recorded. But not assigned to individuals when paid out of the bank account.

Client has a fiscal year end set as the 18 of November with the CRA and can not be changed, is there away to Set fiscal year in QBO to match?
There's 7 employees in this company. I know how to send paystubs out individually by email through Quickbooks Desktop. I'm having trouble figuring out how to send out how to combine all the 7 paystubs into 1 PDF form and send it out to the manager.
I can generate T4 but not T5 slips.
