A client has been running QB desktop.Following a hard drive failure they cannot access the company file, but do have a backup copy.They purchased the software online/downloaded and are unable to download QB desktop.I've suggested that they migrate to QB online, importing their backup company file.I understand this may be possible using a trial version of QB Desktop.Can anyone point me in the direction of a UK trial version of QB Desktop please?

Hi Folks,First time poster here.Does anyone know how to disable the new Nag Screen popup that appears at the bottom of the screen after logging on? The one that is asking me to refer a friend.I was forced into using QB Online when Desktop was discontinued and am still not at all happy about it for many reasons. I am highly unlikely to refer a friend and don't see why I should be asked to market Intuit products on their behalf everytime that I login!
Is there any way to turn off the auto fill for check numbers? Frustrating to have to correct.I see QBO customers have been asking this since 2019.Can we turn off autofill dates in fields eg Bill Numbers

Hi, I am trialing Quickbooks to see if it meets my needs. I run my own niche recruitment agency and are looking for a way to offer self billing for my employees/contractors. I invoice my end clients in the normal way, but my subcontractors are self employed and I want to offer a simple standard way for them to invoice my business on a weekly basis. Often the invoices are the same ever week. Is there any way to do this with quickbooks? Thanks Adrian
We sold our business including all remaining products and the trademark. How does this get recorded in Quickbooks? Normally we would create an invoice and then receive payment against it... but I'm guessing there is more to it than that. Thanks!

I have just started up quick books I now own a mobile mechanics business and just needing help with the products and services one , I made my own on up for labour which is fine, so that will now show up as profit , but I buy car parts in for customers and sell them for there cars , what categories do I put that down on as It’s making my profit look high as it’s counting the parts as a profit.
I seem to be having issues when I try to create an invoice on QB Online. Since yesterday when I try to save a completed invoice or send one to a client the amount on the invoice is set to paid???

My mileage hasn’t been tracking for the past 3 weeks now. I checked out all troubleshooting fixes and the only one that works is to open the app whilst driving and have it on in the background, but this is no good because I never remember to do this! I’ve tried sending a report on this issue and even that won’t work, when I try to submit the report it says I have to set up an email account in settings under passwords and accounts, but when I click on settings there isn’t even an option to go to settings and accounts, and my email is already set up on my account anyway so I e no idea what it means.

For the last few days now when I'm snapshotting receipts or uploading PDF's I am getting the error in the question. This has never happened before. I've tried refreshing cache's and other things. It's quite annoying when I'm trying to do lots of admin.

Hi, i've created custom reports in the past, but now the button to do it has vanished... has it moved?
I am using their Data Export Tool and I am finding that when I have to log into my QBD company it is repeating each character that I type eg D gets entered as DD, if I click Backspace once it deletes two characters. I worked around this issue by typing my password elsewhere and then I copied and pasted into the password box, it got entered twice, I then used my cursor to get to the middle and then I used the Delete key to delete all the characters after the cursor. A second issue is, when I finally manage to enter my password, I get a pop up which says:'You can't perform this action as this QuickBooks product is no longer available.....' see attachment for image of pop up. If I close this pop up then my company opens no problem. Is this because I took a copy of the company file after 30 June 2023 ( we got an extension and so have access to end October). Are these just weird glitches with the Data Export Tool? Has anyone else had these issues?
