Hi all, I could use some support. My laptop hardrive crashed, and the backup file on my NAS seems to be corrupt, so, it appears I have lost everything..sigh (even after sending the drive to a recovery firm) I have last years PL and Balance Sheet printouts from my fiscal year end, so, I was thinking of rebuilding my chart of accounts using last years fiscal numbers as a starting point. It appears I can't import via excel invoices, and cheque register / credit card expenses (only lists), but really didn't want to enter everything through the interface manually again for this year, unless I absolutely have to. So, without a discussion on QB Desktop vs on-line, and backup strategies, does anyone have any suggestions on how to best 'rebuild' my QB file? Perhaps what has worked for others, or the best approach ?Thanks in advance
We accept credit card payments through QuickBooks. Those payments go into a specific bank account but I see that the credit card processing fees also run through that account. Is there any way that we can have the account that the fees are taken from changed while leaving the payments going through the existing account?

Hello people! I have a client who has switched to QBO and is now using the bank feed to download the bank transactions. They feel that I should use the payment from the bank account to record expenses then they do not have to provide invoices or receipts for me (paper or digital). They are incorporated so must use accrual method and recording with the payment is actually cash method.I like the bank feed to match and correct entries that may be categorized wrong or have the taxes incorrect or not all.Help me find the wording to make them understand that what they want to do is not right.
I have 2 accounts setup in QBO, but neither show up in dropdown menu, in order to proceed I have to create a new account. This has never happened before. Anyone else have this happen?
I purchased deposit tickets from the bank and logged the transaction in Quickbooks. The deposit tickets had to be exchanged because the wrong ones were ordered. There was a price difference -$27.52 so the reconcile will not balance without affecting quickbooks balance. Can anyone advise, please!!

I was hired to clean up some bookkeeping, but have this main issue I am not sure how to resolve. The accountant had previously just recorded deposits as income instead of receiving payments to undeposited funds, and then depositing. The bookkeeper at the time did 'receive' the payments to undeposited funds, but that's all. So now I have a huge list of 'unpaid invoices', and a large balance in undeposited funds from the previous period. How can I clear this without messing up the books?
Says subscription issues when I try to work, but still on paid trial and settings suggest everything should work and account is active… where’s actual help and support!?
Balance sheet and US bank register in QBO do not match (QBO- multi currency - main currency is CAD and CAD bank is fine) what is the possible reason for this? The QBO register does balance with the bank register, only the amount displayed in the balance sheet does not. Haven't had that happen in the desktop version previously. Thanking you in advance
We linked a new account and requested data from November 2011 through to current. Only the last 3 months came through, how can we get the older data?
